Do a tutorial on movement and how to make it so you don’t miss roll as much!
Kreep Gawd practice slow and then speed up gradually. If you feel “tense” while bouncing you need to slow down till it feels effortless.
Go to your max speed and then tone it down a bit. When your max speed builds more just bounce a little slower that that
Oddly enough think of it like how people learn how to play an instrument
Kreep Gawd use the single stick movement. It’s very compatible with all control schemes and centres your screen when you move from cover to cover making it excellent for wall bouncing but does take a bit of time to get used to.

For me it's the opposite: When a dude is behind cover I just walk up on him so he gets stressed and then I just pop him haha

Could you do a tutorial on being able to slide rather than roll, and how to use the different types of cover fire to your advantage? I'm endlessly diving at a wall when I want to slide into cover, and when I wrap around shot while in cover, I'm always getting random damage because I can't shoot where I'm meant to be shooting...thanx dude...your the man!

Next melee first, always melee AFTER the shot or they'll one shot you with the nature. In this one they nerfed the hit stun a lot compared to gears 3 for example. So when you hit them they can react a LOT faster, and to indicate the difference is probably the reason you no longer hit them with the but of the gun anymore and now you knife them. The damage is the same, the range is actually bigger cause it lunges at them, but the stun is a LOT weaker.

I'm only able to play in my gears 5 maps and I see all these videos with gears 4 maps. Do I have to have Gears 4 install to access them?

Flanking is situational, depends on the situation and how the enemy is positioned.

Lil GnasherZ // IS BACK your comment makes no sense lmao, how can you help „recruits“ when you have a „low“ aim assist ? On gears 4 new players got a buff to make more damage and take more damage so they don’t quit gears after 1 round getting raped.
In gears 5 bot walkin is stronger than in gears 4 and the aim assist is higher and with the new „universal tuning“ „recruits“ can just walk into you and 1 shot you down or kill you with a pop shot (aim assist is soooo strong when you pop shot with the gnasher)
Gears 5 is the perfect game for newbies and a horrible game for wallbouncers especially me because that’s the only reason I play gears.

Do a lot of pros use the tournament button layout where LB and A are switched? Using LB honestly feels way smoother to me, it’s harder to move my RS if I’m always pressing the A button.

A lot of the “pros” or just better players in general just play claw instead. Tournament is good if you refuse to play claw but it’s not very good for the longevity of your bumpers on the controller. I broke my LB on my controller last weekend but it was already kind of shitty so I can’t fully blame Gears.
I used to run tournament in other Gears but with this one I switched to Classic Alt and I’m learning claw. I got destroyed all last week but I played yesterday and did much better even got a few MVPs. Which I consider a major improvement over placing dead last on my team multiple games.

Those tactics RARELY work against good players and you will die often if try to do them because you get animation locked. You almost never want to lock your self in a animation. You want to be free to move around as much as possible.
Yea most good players that arent lancing on cover from far away isnt gonna sleep on a wall for you to grab
I don't understand the shotguns in this game I'm shooting people in the face and stomach and it takes three shots to down a person pretty much point blank range but if someone shots me I go down asap think shotguns are broken or the aiming is fucked up people killing me and even when missing shots...

How come there’s only around 4-5 maps in king of the hill? Like the map shown in this video and others in the game just aren’t an option in competitive versus?
J3dininja04 this map and all the others that aren’t in rotation (like reclaimed, forge, etc.) are from gears 4. they’re probably gonna add them into rotation later, I think they’re just having the brand new maps for now but hopefully they make them playable in comp soon

@@tonygreene81ableIt's a community name for the act of meleeing an opponent with your shotgun, and then immediately shooting them with the shotgun, usually killing them. If done correctly, it is more or less a two-shot kill, hence the name "2-peice"

Holding your shots........wish it worked for me. I always get 95-99% damage, other person gets 100% and kills me. Same exact distance. I dont get it

You're very helpful with that shotgun. But what about the Lancer? Can you give us some tips on using the lancer? I can hardly ever get a kill with it. Maybe its cuz the health regen is crazy in this game, but I wish the game wasn't just shotgun fighting

The aim assist is pretty OP. They need to tone it down. I'm good with the sniper. Not a beast, but definitely decent with it. I was playing a match one time and I swear I shot a guy in the chest and somehow got a headshot. I've also seen a lot of people get some questionable snipe kills while playing.
