HERE IT IS! Our reactions to the first episode of season 2 of Daredevil. I've seen all of Daredevil season 2 and I've got to say Jon Bernthal is damn good as The Punisher.

I'm just one person but I legit had the exact same reactions as all four of you, when castle was walking through the hospital. I've watched that scene over and over since last week. They got it right, they got him so very right.

Right from the first episode, it is established that this is a noticeably different Punisher than the one written by Garth Ennis; Castle is younger, angrier and less professional. He opened fire in a public hospital with numerous civilians in the way. I love the character, but I am fine with the new approach that the writers are taking with him; they at least get the core of the character. It's awesome to finally see the Punisher being written and portrayed properly; not as a hero or even anti-hero, but someone who definitely is a monster (serial killer, not vigilante) and is fully aware of it.

Karen Page is Matt's first true love though (in the comics), so it's kind of impossible not to have them be together at some point.

I have noticed a lot of parallels between the Netflix shows and MCU Phase One:
- Both franchises culminate in a big crossover (The Avengers and The Defenders).
- Before the crossover, there will have been five different entries. The only one that is a sequel being to the successful first entry featuring a hero in red body armor (Iron Man and Daredevil).
- The five* Netflix series preceding the big crossover will have been:
Daredevil S1, Jessica Jones, Daredevil S2, Luke Cage and Iron Fist
- The five MCU Phase One entries preceding the big crossover were:
Iron Man, Hulk, Iron Man 2, Captain America, and Thor
*Do note, Season 2 of Jessica Jones was postponed until AFTER The Defenders crossover.
- Both franchises feature a character who will or has appeared in most/all films/TV seasons prior to the big crossover (Phil Coulson and Claire Temple). Hopefully Claire doesn't die like Phil did.
- The second entry in both franchises features a mentally troubled individual whose main power is super strength (Hulk and Jessica Jones).
- The third entry was a sequel to the first (Iron Man 2 and Daredevil Season 2).
- The fourth entry focuses on another character with super strength AND shares some connection to the hero of the third entry; Hulk being a failed attempt at recreating Cap and Luke Cage being Jessica's main love interest (Captain America and Luke Cage).
- The fifth entry focuses on a character with background rooted in mythology and magic, who could potentially be the most powerful member of their respective teams and who could have a connection to the antagonist of the big crossover (Thor and Iron Fist).
***** Not Elektra, she's unavailable to EVER be in a superhero team as of the end of Season 2. Let's just say things got painfully unpleasant for her.
I could see Claire, Hellcat, Punisher, Shang-Chi, Colleen and Misty helping out the Defenders.
+Vernedi That will not be permanent.
+Stephen Vargas All future seasons for returning shows are on hold until AFTER The Defenders. The only new shows expected are Luke Cage in September 2016 and Iron Fist in March-April 2017.
So for the time being, Elektra is unavailable, unless The Hand are the villains of the crossover.
+Vernedi I'm pretty sure The Hand will be one of the antagonists in Defenders. We'll be seeing an adaption of Shadow land.
+Stephen Vargas If they do Shadowland for The Defenders then it would have to be Elektra-centric, have her be possessed by The Beast instead of Daredevil. The meaning of Black Sky would suddenly make more sense.
Daredevil Season 2 ended in a big cliffhanger for Karen Page. So it will be interesting to see how it gets resolved in Defenders. They can't wait until Season 3 to elaborate on that, it will be two years before they release another season of Daredevil (Iron Fist and Defenders should both come out 2017).
Claire's character arc in Season 2 was cleverly concluded in a way that explains how she ends up in Harlem with Luke.
I'm certain Claire will meet Iron Fist too, further solidifying her role as the Phil Coulson of the Netflix shows.
I can see Luke Cage and Misty Knight showing up in Iron Fist as well.
Had the same reaction to the ending of this episode. My exact quote was "What? That's how it fucking ends?" Lol. Great costumes. Especially liked the skull t-shirt

daredevil and punisher do a face of in the comics, they give them their own series.
That Bandana looks awesome on you Brit, and as for Bekah, swap out the punisher logo shirt for a basic black shirt and a black jacket, and you could be Goth Felicity for the next Arrow video. you all look awesome though.

How do guys pause in between episodes? I started the show at 1am, with school and work the next day. Every time I said "ok last ep for tonight", I kept going. Next thing I know I'm on episode 8.

On the whole it was a very good season, and if you're big fans of either the Punisher or Elektra it's even better.
And there are plenty more really good fight scenes to come as well as very good dramatic scenes.

This is only the first episode. It only gets better.
Season 1 had a betterr written Story, but man Season 2 is fucking CRAZY! I felt like I was watching a Daredevil and Punisher comic jump to life. Alot of subplots and great moments this Season 8/10. like season 1 the main plot does drag on for a bit and after a really great start the Punisher's story felt Padded out. He was still great though!
