- In this video, of a 2023 Newmar Superstar 4059 RV, we find Major flaws and critical issues in this brand new Superstar, which is supposed to be in mint condition. Priced at half a million dollars, this high-end RV shockingly comes with several major flaws. We discovered that the roof is concave, uneven, and holding water. The slides are leaving big marks on the tile floor. The toilet has a major leak which was hilarious when it hit Pierre in the face, along with a leaky shower. The tire stem extension valve is perforated, and the electrical box is emitting extreme heat from the left side.

Newmar's answer to tile marks from the slides were plastic sleds.
It's the customer/buyers responsibility to let the dealer know that the 'needs' are not wants to conduct a complete and thorough inspection. It's the dealers responsibility to supply the needs, if they want the sale. That would be a big Bust for me.
These 2 are excellent at what they do. I would hope that when Im ready to purchase I can get these 2.

I have to say that even if the entire coach was flawless I would NEVER be able to get past the structural bow in the roof/wall structure. This unit needs to go back to Newmar for evaluation and repair BEFORE it is purchased by someone.

Bust! Hard to believe the seller wasn't aware of the major and minor issues. Before retirement my business manufactured tooling for the aerospace industry. Inspection is the key to a successful business.
RVers should expect problems when purchasing vehicles not priced and built to commercial standards and which are normally purchased by commercial travelers.

Absolutely !! I don't bring my own electricity, propane or batteries ! I may from time to time provide a pressure regulator while testing water systems.
The idea of an Inspector providing anything other than a full detailed inspection is ludicrous !!!

Your attention to detail always impresses me. However you made one critical error in your inspection. That toilet was not leaking.....new for '23 was the Winnebago approved bubbler conveniently located behind the toilet in case of dire thirst.......non New Englanders may know it as a water fountain. As an aside, if that shower is good for people 6'9", I would need a step ladder to shower.....

Bust for me. I do have a question. Do you approve how manufactures do the plumbing of rv's? Another inspector 90 petcent of the time finds faulty plumbing thru out the rv. They use the wrong clamps. Which ends up leaking vs residential plumbing.
There is no "code" for plumbing in the RV industry...we can only report facts if it is leaking 😉
Not my job, on my report, to comment on their manufacturing process and components.
I am not a consultant for manufacturers 😉. Just someone who can report facts about structural issues or failed parts or components.

I wonder how the dealership would respond if I told them that we need to have in the contract that we need full hookups and gas or diesel in the fuel tank for our inspectors and if they do not have it ready they will have to pay for my inspection from you guys?

Half a million and the toilet uses the RV as its toilet 🤢. We could take that money and buy 10 families vintage, but solid RVs.
If a dealer spots a defect when they receive it, will the manufacturer pay for the repair? Is the issue that the selling dealer is not able to fix it so it is easier just to pass the problem to the buyer? So sad if someone buys this as it is.
Sadly dealers don't inspect units when it's delivered. I'm sure the manufacturer would pay to fix the issues but dealers just try to unload the units as I was told before

Exactly 💯 some inspectors are so weak, they let dealership walk all over them. They probably also hurry up with their inspection to not bother anyone 🙄
It's the selling dealership reasonability to have the unit ready Not the Inspectors. Since they are not willing to do this simple service , is a red flag on how they will treat you ,They do not care about only your wallet . Definitely a major bust , New Mar seems to be about profit , not quality for there customers

Well-We found out first hand and $15,000 later that a brand new Newmar can be just as rotten as any other motorhome -We thought we were buying quality-NOPE -Get an inspection on any NEW motorhome including All NEWMAR 🤷♀️👍🤯

Come on. The roof is made that way so the water runs off into the drip rail. When it's full it "drips" out both ends. An absolutely brilliant design feature. I'm surprised you can't see that.😉😊

Yes, the roof was made that way WRONG.....make sure you get an inspection if you buy a RV as your knowledge seems very limited

Another total Bust! I have a friend that is a Service Manager for 25 years at an RV center and he told me not to even consider a Super C he said they have more issue than any other motorhomes would recommend a class A over a Super C

If I was buying a RV from them and they couldn’t take care of my inspection team, i wouldn’t purchase from them..Actions speak louder than words, and if they are going to nickel and dime that ..well in my opinion that’s going to be the proverbial lceberg

Nope. not for $600K. Move to the next one. Nobody should run the valve stem extensions. Spend the money and get some actual long stems installed in the wheel. Those extensions are dangerous and fail constantly! I know from experience.
