When I go away I put each days food in a baggy and place it back in the freezer and mark what day it is for. Has always works out good that way. Topping off the ATO always gets them since they can't understand why it doesn't need salt. That smell came through my computer I think. lol
I used pellet food in an automatic feeder when we were on vacation for 10 days in May. I fed what I thought was a reasonable amount each day. When we got back and I tested the tank and my nutrients were through the roof. Figure what you think is the right amount to feed and then cut it in half. I think the pellets really elevated my phosphate levels.
or spread that 1 day worth over a number of days better to under feed than over feed. I often don't feed when I go away unless for an extended period then I leave overly cautious instructions and food in sauce cups in smaller portions than I'd feed because I don't know anyone I trust to test or clean my tank. but I'd never ever trust an automatic feeder
What if there’s toxins and you use your mouth to get the siphon going? Is it safe? I do this method but wonder how safe that is when sometimes saltwater get in your mouth especially when you have to do that multiple times 5 gallon buckets at a time.
If you fed Friday end of the day and then could feed Sunday before lights out id consider it. Otherwise light feeding and the baby jar method is better than none
Damn it Jimmy just film! 😆 I like Jimmy
I like the banter.
As a requirement for people who watch my tank while I'm gone, I'll make them watch this video!!!
Between saying Kenny (reminding me of South Park) and the baby jar trick, I loved the episode lol
Thanks that was a great tip

Pay like $12 and get a hand pump symphon
Look for vacuum siphon pump hose on ali or somewhere else u can sqeez te plastic to start siphon.
You need a new tank sitter
What is the system used for testing?
API Aquaspin
I portion out 1/2 the amount I feed for tank sitter no harm under feeding
Try cleaning it with bacteria products only.
😂😂😂
I intentionally overfeed and still struggle to keep Nitrates up. Good problem to have I guess!
Probably have a good amount of algae or your softie are soaking them up.
Better off not feeding

@@jdamommio unless you have a good amount of fish to feed. Also the jars can be individually thawed and washed.
Amy local shop said feed 7 times a day,wtf
@@MrPninja Are they in the business of selling nitrifying bacteria only??
