@@peterclifford7302 That is indeed sad. Do you know when and where? I assumed it would be easy to find an obituary for a man who was at the top of his profession for quite a few decades, but I can't see one anywhere.
Vic Pitt - sadly missed and remember when he first joined the band and got to know him well when the band toured NZ. The duet with Colin Miller in Auckland got the biggest applause of the night.
REALY not too good for your strings i that I gave a rockibilly band restless a shot of bass in Glasgow doing same thing and they wrecked the outer core on my £160 inovtion strings not to mention moving bridge to accommodate a lower action and the bass player should have known not to tamper with a set bridge could have damaged the bride and the sound post all that show boating just play the thing that's what drum were designed for lol
A fabulous version. Vic Pitt is my favourite bass player, he has a great technique that is unique. So sad to hear of his passing, is greatly missed.
Do you mean Chris Barber's passing? If so, I share your sadness - but I'm pretty sure Vic Pitt is still going.
@@arthurpewtey Sadly Vic Pitt has passed away.

How on earth this video doesn't have 1 billion view?
Vic is one of the best string bassists ever! His technique is out of this world! X

Rhythem in the Blood .. Genial ..!
This video is missing a whistler.
CastleMr40 I just heard the Haggart & Bauduc version with the whistler. You’re right but I did hear the Bass cover the whistlers’ part.
NAME THAT TUNE. See how many you can identify. Amazing performance.
Hervorragend..😚
How! Never anything like it

Cheeks are hurting.
Far better than the original!!
Robert De Niro on drums is a beast
It’s so strange. Sticky wicket was a much better drummer to play this with. However, there’s a cool dynamic between these two. Impossible to repeat 😂
