- A few of you have been requesting that Jim Lee draw Spawn but as it turns out he already has. I've just been a bit behind on editing these videos. I hear you but for every person who says they dig the music... there's 3 others saying don't do it. Going forward I'll do music for the videos like this one where Jim doesn't say much but I'm definitely keeping original audio for those that Jim gives valuable lessons.

It’s amazing how your sketch starts off looking like something a 7 year old who’s naturally right handed but drew with their left hand and ends up looking like a masterpiece

Spawn is another character that I grow up on and still to this day I love and he is love around the world

What is he looking backwards at, a reference picture? Why are so many people whining about the music? It's pretty freaking obvious that Jim isn't talking. People want to hear him breathing or clearing his throat occasionally?

thats great all the textures and you really get the feeling that he is surrounded by sulfur like nihtcrawler when he transports, presenting spawn to us like an invitation or he is about to do something really nasty lol!
I would love a friendly competition to see who can bust out the best spawn between Todd and Jim. personally I think Jim would win because Todd's weakness is anatomy.

Hell yeah. Thanks for putting his Spawn Stream up. Probably one of my favorite characters. We should try and get Jim to draw a vs cover art between Saitama (One Punch Man) and whoever else would be a funny match-up for him. Galacatus would be hilarious but I don't think the height proportion would work for this size paper.

I've always had an adoration for drawing and sculpting art but my father never allowed me to pursuit my dream. Is it too late at 40 to make a living and start from the beginning?
Never too late, bro.
Best sketch he has done yet. Sometimes the flicks and smudges are background fillers but this was all used to effect. Music needs to be overlaid because it's a twitch stream which can be up to 2 hours long per drawing, and vza edits it for us. If you want the original video with the chat go to Jim Lee's twitch channel, and then you will stop whining about the package vza has put together for you!

Jim didn't talk much during this video so I went with music. On videos where Jim is talking and giving instruction I'll be sure to use that audio instead.

It takes jim 38 min to create this masterpiece while it’s taken me my whole life trying to draw a perfect circle 😭
To be fair, drawing a perfect circle freehand would be just as impressive as this.
You can always use one of those circular rulers :)
Even Jim Lee couldn't do a perfect circle..
Have you tried drawing a head first and then erase some of the detailed features? Only then will you get a circle thingy.

I never said anything negative about this mans work. It’s ridiculously amazing!!! But here, he’s drawing Spawn too much like when he draws his Batman’s and other super hero faces. The nose is to defined and long. Looking like Batman’s face or when he draws Gambit or Thor. Great work tho! 👍🏼
