Her outfit is super cool and she has a vampire attitude but I feel the movements are not erotic and professional enough, she walks all over the stage instead dancing :/
the point is not to look sexy but her interpretation of bellydance. and in my opinion it's awesome. it's something between sexy, aggressive, raw, vampiric.
I completely understand her style. It's unique and I really appreciate this. I'm not a Tribal Fusion Dancer, I'm a Belly dancer. I just have made some TF workshops. The only constructive thing I want to say is that her moves looks agressive on top. I feel the strength in her arm, her face, but I don't feel the same strength in her hip moves. Maybe she could have improved it, since this video is from 2011. If it wasn't intentional, I would suggest to her to see some hip techniques to release it a little bit more. I think if her hips were a little bit more "free", the moves would be bigger and they would have more impact, then they would look more aggressive.
I am a 62 year old Ontario woman who has a background of tv, film, theatre and painting, & glasswork, and I have always had a total passion for music. I chose this video out of curiousity and was spellbound. This woman is so inside her body. I am so impressed. She is terrifying as well as beautiful and appears to hold powers we can only imagine. I love to enter new realms. Thank you!
This is interesting. I'm not sure why RUclips recommended this me, but I'm gonna give me American two cents anyway. I liked this. My 36 year old, admin working, child raising, wearing nude makeup in a boring office building five days a week ass really liked this. I get it. Not everything needs to be "pretty", "sexy", "erotic", etc. Some of you suffer from a poverty of imagination. This song is quite literally discussing the dead coming for the living. That's a war posture. This dance makes sense from that viewpoint.
She is SOOOOO gorgeous!!! This is really curious fusional work and definitely more original that a lot of the dance pertaining to "fusion". This performance embodies a compelling character with a fair bit of self-irony, which is always refreshing and frequently missing from tribal style belly dance. Its a hoot!
Hmmmm, as a traditional belly dancer it's not my cup of tea, but she executes her style very well and you have to admit that it's original! Does look Klingon, but that's not all bad. This is good!
My God this was mesmerising. Absolutely my kind of movement. The costume was probably the best ive ever laid eyes on and want it, want it, want it.......i loved this. At first glance it appeared as some avant garde free expression dance mode, but every single movement was choreographed to the nth degree. Subtle initially yet like a sledgehammer after several views. Amazing style.
Not bad. Her moves are a little too aggressive to be called "belly dancing", though. It's the complete opposite of the smooth, fluid-like moves of actual belly-dancing.
@PrincessKryste the fabric is probly silk or satine, so its appears that way. I am 100% sure its a woman. And the facial features, if you look closely in the "vapire dance" video you said, she is an older woman.
WoW. Ich finde das Video wirklich gelungen. Ich finde den Tanz schön, mal etwas anderes. Aber im positivem Sinne. Mir gefällt es sehr. Mich würde nur das Lied interessieren. *__* Grüße
I don't think it was ment to be a bellydance it clearly says in the title TRIBAL so I think people are geting confused with what she usually does with what she's trying to expess here.
I'm not sure I would call this Gothic Tribal, but just Gothic Fusion, but the dance is really neat, not to mention that awesome costume. I haven't seen anything quite like it. I like the intro in which she almost appears to get taller as the cape extends out behind her.
Forget questioning whether this is belly dance or not, I almost question whether this is dance. There doesn't seem to be anything technically difficult about it at all. She's clearly a professional who executed everything she wanted to well, I just think the same choreography could be done by students. They might miss some of the theatrical posturing, but that's not technical difficulty that's artistry. Where is the movement??
¿Donde está el Tribal? Ha hecho medio choo-choo y algo así como un arabe... Esta mujer tiene una puesta en escena increible para mostrar que ha dado una clase y media...
While it's definitely an art performance, I'd hardly call it "dancing", and I'm very open minded and flexible about this sort of thing. Sadly, to me it looks more like a Saturday Night Live parody skit of what "German" Gothic Belly Dance might look like. All we need it Mike Myer's Dieter character saying, "Touch my monkey!"
reminds me a bit of tammy the island princess belly dancer if you can call her one, very staccato and moves not completed like she has a sore back or something
I love the song, adore the costume and really dig all of the staging, but I'd love to see more actual bellydance in these pieces, personally. There's some truly beautiful movements, but it'd be great to incorporate more actual dance, as opposed to acting out scenes/characters. I love what it's going for, but just imho, "needs more shimmies." ;) Lovely work overall, though. :)
i'd love if she walked around a little less and made more real belly moves and stuff because she looks awesome when she does it. but i love the outfit and song. i guess it's ok
i seen this video before, and i can see where people are coming from. this song choice, doesn't fit the middle eastern type of feel, even if it is tribal style. tribal style they do use middle eastern music or ethinc traditional music. the song chose seems more industrial dance rather then belly dance. but i do like her style, and the way she moves with the music. rather different!
go to Legend Lin Danse Theatre. Critiques transcedent of common vernacular must be in order if experience trumps entertainment. This even more so when utlizing concepts of culture, ancient or authentic. Nice work here...middle eastern /80's free style in nature over layed with horror Industrial. Skinny Puppy Stripper....
I thought the music and the costume matched perfectly and the entrance was really great and dramatic especially with that long cape but the dance seemed to be lacking. There seemed to be more marching than dancing.
Guys, this is Dark Fusion. It's a particular style with its own beauty and grace. She absolutely great on what she's doing. Open your minds,
OMG !!! HOW CAN YOU EVEN CALL THIS BELLY DANCE ??
Her outfit is super cool and she has a vampire attitude but I feel the movements are not erotic and professional enough, she walks all over the stage instead dancing :/
the point is not to look sexy but her interpretation of bellydance. and in my opinion it's awesome. it's something between sexy, aggressive, raw, vampiric.
Zaphiro deSade , I feel it also. Her head and throat = Hals in German, has not the right positions and energie. And it is less erotical
I completely understand her style. It's unique and I really appreciate this.

So nice to see the top comments being the most ignorant on the page... I love her costume.

BRILLANT
genial
It looks like belly dance from hell! it's different style but you did it very nicely! Congrats!
weyland yutani must run wumpscut xD. that was such a cool powerful dance, i really liked it

~ Immer wieder Nice ! ~

Then you’ve never seen shakra perform to this song. Also you don’t seem to understand what gothic belly dance is
Super! Böööser Tanz, klasse Ausstrahlung dazu und ein wirklich sehr schönes Kostüm!
fantastic,nothing more to say
Mesmerising... To all of you who hate it go on and be original or say something worth of reading of...
I actually think this is a good bellydance. I mean you can't exactly be fluid and graceful when you're dancing to Wumpscut.
Thank you Germany for once again making things rigid and scary.
Aggressive and powerfull!!
This is a great performance,
Dance in the darkness!!!
Yeah, greetings from Mexico ;)
WAR DANCE!!! WONDERFUL!!
The first time I saw this I didn't like it. But coming back with a better understanding it's quite a kick ass dance :)
Yeah, and it is a gothic tribal dance. So, keep in mind she is dressed for a culture performance.
hermosa la sensualidad invitando al misterio
I rather watch Rachel Brice dancing to Rammstein if I want to watch gothic tribal dancing
@PrincessKryste the fabric is probly silk or satine, so its appears that way. I am 100% sure its a woman. And the facial features, if you look closely in the "vapire dance" video you said, she is an older woman.
I can see warhammer's witch elves dancing this to honor Khaine (the blood handed god of war) before battle.
Awesome.
Más suavidad y soltura en los movimientos es mucho más sensual, pero la temática me gustó
Both terrifying and fascinating
funny, shakra did danced to this song for a gothic belly dance dvd
excellent perfect its a great dance the best
I'm not a huge fan of Gothic belly dance but this costume is fierce! Isn't all dance interpretive in some respect?
Wao! Respeto demasiado la coreografia, sobre todo el vestuario. Felicitaciones desde México.
Germany won in one of the boat races today!
WoW. Ich finde das Video wirklich gelungen. Ich finde den Tanz schön, mal etwas anderes. Aber im positivem Sinne. Mir gefällt es sehr.
Mich würde nur das Lied interessieren. *__*

Looks very Klingon!.
I'm not sure I would call this Gothic Tribal, but just Gothic Fusion, but the dance is really neat, not to mention that awesome costume. I haven't seen anything quite like it.

Band is :wumpscut: song is "The March of the Dead" from their Bone Peeler album ^^

She should join the Ministry of Silly Walks.
Don't listen to that one other person its actually called, March of the dead.
this is tribal fusion. I love her!!!
I absolutely love this video don't care what everybody else says ü do ü #onlinekindness
Wow! I'm impressed!
FANTASTIC! Better than BDSS! Very, VERY Goth! I love it.
Fantastic!!!
I love her outfit!
Reminds me allot of the choreo on the Gothic Bellydance DVD by Shakra~ Same song and everything!
Beautiful!!!
Gothic Tribal - Deva Matisa - German Gothic Tribal Style: can you read?
reminds me a bit of tammy the island princess belly dancer if you can call her one, very staccato and moves not completed like she has a sore back or something
tht was awesome!
gothic belly dancing is in the tags

Sorry if this has been already discussed, but does anyone know the song name/artist? I tried searching for it but couldn't find it.....
i'd love if she walked around a little less and made more real belly moves and stuff because she looks awesome when she does it. but i love the outfit and song. i guess it's ok
Well that's not what you see here is it?.....the poster of this video just doesn't know what kind of tags that follow along with this.
Agree!!!
please some please B4 i go crazy please tell me the name of this song
It looks like she phoned in this performance or just making it up as she goes
It's interesting on it's own, but I wouldn't call it belly dancing. Maybe Tribal Industrial? I also agree with @Amoxil500MG's Klingon comment. XD
As we saw with Quark and Grilka on DS-9, Klingon women are far more sensual than this.
that was beautiful
@Amoxil500MG Exactly, strong and powerful... nothing wrong with that!
cual es el nombre de la cancion que esta de fondo??
March of the dead by Wumpscut
YES MY DARK MISTRESS I WILL OBEY YOU
which part of the title you didn't understand?
alguno podría decirme de quien es la canción...
🖤🖤🖤🖤

I am confused what part of this is belly dance part?!

i actually like industrial gothic music. What is the name of the band?
Sandra Aria Vaewolf Music "The March of the Dead" by Wumpscut (Google Play • eMusic • iTunes • AmazonMP3)
2021
Marvellous ich ben fen ,3
A pure Nosferatu!
@Neuromance27 I think its ment to be that way.. its caled industrial for something
@IreneDark tienes toda la razon \m/
@Amoxil500MG I agree with you
great costume. not what i was expecting to see when searching for belly dance. would have liked to have seen less walking around and more dancing.
does it say belly dance anywhere?
ritual-trash-dramatic-veryhard fusion bellydance
I love you!!!
Im going to have nightmares o.o
For a professional performance I'd make the choregraphy much more dynamic. Maybe add some lights and fire.... Technique looks ok.
March of the Dead by wumpscut.
Wumpscut - the march of the dead
Wumpscut- Walk of the Dead
I thought the music and the costume matched perfectly and the entrance was really great and dramatic especially with that long cape but the dance seemed to be lacking. There seemed to be more marching than dancing.
@Neuromance27 that's because it *is* a man moving :P
hilfe!!!
