assalamu'alaikum hello~! i am 14 and i am trying to be more closer with Allah swt, i have already been praying 5 times a day, fast, i read the Qur'an daily because i study at a local masjid and also wear my hijab but i still feel a bit far from him, so i'm trying to change some habits and also add some to insyaallah make myself closer to him ❤
Ma shaa' Allah all those things are really good! I find what helps with connecting myself to the deen is studying chapters of religious knowledge pertaining to the core belief in Allah and his Messenger Salla Allahu ^alayhee wa sallam. That's what ties us to our religion
If you unintentionally sleep through Fajr you can make it up when you wake up no problem, but if you purposefully miss Fajr then you are doing a major sin that according to one scholarly view is kufr akbar (leaving the prayer is kufr according to the more correct opinion: some scholars say missing even one prayer takes you out of the fold of Islam whereas others say that abandoning the act of prayer altogether does, either way it is a huge sin and something I wouldn't want to risk)
Missing any prayer intentionally is a major sin but we do not say that a person leaves Islam just because he/she left out the obligatory prayer. Imam Ahmed use to say that leaving prayer out is kufur but Imam Ashafi3iy debated him on this issue and Imam Ahmed recanted. So the more correct opinion of the Muslim Nation is that it is not kufur to leave out prayer, rather it is a major sin.
Sweet Sister, Jazāk Allāhu Khayran (جَزَاكَ ٱللَّٰهُ خَيْرًا). What are your thoughts and guidance on "Dkhir" in the morning?. For instance visibly counting on the tasbee, and listening to the Quran as a form of spiritual mindful meditation, when we sisters are on our menstrual cycle.
آمتن وفيك. Dhikr and Qur'an in the morning are both wonderful things to do. You can use dhikr beeds (tasbeeh) when you make dhikr but you don't have to. Great dhikrs to say in the morning are astaghfir Allah, la ilaha illa Allah, and the salat on the prophet. In terms of what a woman can say on her period, there is no problem making dhikr while on her menstrual cycle, and yes since a woman can't recite Qur'an out loud while menstruating, listening to Qur'an is a great option!

Wylaykum assalam, aww yes of course I'm so glad you want to learn more. In terms of something that is easy access, I would recommend using lessons given on the AICP USA youtube channel. The most important things to listen to from that channel is anything labeled the obligatory knowledge, or things about Islamic belief (like belief in God and in the prophet and what that means). I have learned (in person) from some of those sheikhs and sheikhas as well as from my husband who is studying Islamic studies in lebanon, hope that helps!!

Different medhhebs (scholars such as imam Ash shafi^iyy, abu hanifa (hanafiyy), malik (malikiyy), or imam Ahmad (hambaliyy) etc) said different things about the placement if the hands and as we know following any of those 4 scholars is valid. I usually follow imam Ash shafiyy and he said that you place your hands between the naval (belly button) and chest for men or for women.
