Have you and the team ever thought of translating vault hunters? I know a lot of people who plays moded knows English, but translating can always bring the mod pack to more people
While the new different rock types are very clean for "manual" crystal charging (putting the crystal on the altar manually), it completely breaks full altar automation, especially with the ascension rock. Since that needs the soul flame from your previous vault, you can no longer just have system that always provides you a charged crystal (like you had on the VHSMP) where you can immediately slap on the soul flame. You need to have an empty altar, craft the ascension rock with the soul flame, put it on the altar, wait for it to load up the rock, then wait another 6 seconds for the redstone signal to charge up the crystal. So instead of spending the maybe 5 seconds to grab your already charged crystal and turn it into an ascension vault, you now spent a minute waiting around when you wanna continue your soul flame streak. I have a suggestion though to make full altar automation still possible (although a lot more complicated than it is now) and cut out boring waiting times: Make the recipe for the challengers vault rock be cheap and not require my current soul flame, when its charged up it allows you to go into a vault and start a new ascension run at 0 stacks OR you take the charged crystal to the modification station and combine it with your current soul flame there to add the stacks to it. That way you can precraft a bunch of challengers rocks and set up your modular router for the altar automation so that it always keeps 1 charged up challengers crystal in stock (as well as 1 charged up crystal of each of the other types), allowing you to always hop into a vault quickly without all the waiting around for crystals to load up and charge.
I think it would be cool if the deteriorating blocks would have a similar texture to the end gateways, kind of like a rift opening up! Just as an aesthetic!
Im not really liking how restrictive capacity can be. At level 60 i was running architect vaults with 2-3 rooms and 4-8 catalysts, which would require 60-100 capacity
I think when you get into the world you should spawn with a book explaining the history behind vault hunters. Making a store out of Vaulthunters and beating the amazing Harald (that should be the goal because he terrifies the Minecraft world. And defeating him stops the terrier. Something like a Saving the Princess type of book. like Mario. the goal is to save the princess and there is a story about it.
also something explaining how to set difficulty and what every command does because I never knew there was a command to finish the crystal without getting material I think that would have made my experience better-playing vaulthunters
4:50 Wouldn't it be more appropriate to call it corruption instead of decay? But I suppose that I depends on how you view the effects on overloading a vault crystal . My perspective is that the crystal decays prematurely because it's overloaded which causes something to go wrong inside it which leads to the corruption inside the vault, aka the curses. So both names for it fits but, one is for the crystal itself, (which leads to the other), and the other is the corruption inside the vaults (because of the first), so fu*k if I know.
Expertise ideas!.... One that has 5 lvls, each lvl reveals 1 curse on a crystal before you go in the vault. maxes with seeing only 5 so even if someone puts 10 curses they only see up to 5. but that's 25lvls to dedicate to this. A second expertise could give passive item quantity per each lvl. as from what ive seen while watching RUclipsrs and while playing that its always better to add Rarity to your gear and tools. as the percentage of quanity you get is to low to make a big enough difference to space on tool. 50% IQ which cant be got tell after lvl 50 doesnt feel that great compared to 20% item rarity that can be got at lvl30... both require perfect gear rolls to achieve this. So if an Expertise was 1 lvl gets you 5-10% bonus IQ adjust as a dev sees fit, and has 3 lvls, it would allow you to choice that. Or even an Expertice that helps with crafting gear.... because i hate the crafting gear mechanic now.As i will spend 10 gold to get 10 swords craft them but because i have 2% in it, i get a bunch of useless swords and have now wasted my gold... This is now 5 x worse do to vendor change.... because now if i bring that 8 gold into the vault and i have 50% off on vendors from expertise i can buy a sword thats going to be rare or better. and it will be just a stright improvement. So expertice that each lvl gives all your crafting % a boost lvl1 give 15%/ lvl 2 give 30% and/ lvl 3 Gives 45% so that way you want to craft to get good gear... right now i buy most of my strong gear either from Black market or vendor rooms.
probably would be a expertise point, but yes i totally think they should do this, which reduces the amount crafted ones by 1 point so that way you are able to get 1 extra catalyst per level. which seems balanced

What is being added to treasure loot to make them worth the time? Motes and catalysts were the only remaining purpose for them.

Think you can find them in the vault for less, but crafting has a baseline. Like trinkets
I got lucky at lvl 63. I made a crystal with 5mushroom rooms and 22 living catalysts. I gained 9 levels in 20 minutes. Restrictions can be fine.

It gives a more consistent power over more runs, in exchange for the buildup, which I think is way better

Can you "cut" them to get the size smaller?
I don't think so. But there was some talk about finding them with a smaller size
