Wow well thanks for the comment, I’m humbled! My dad and I bought the car together in 2011 and still have it. It actually didn’t run for a long time but as of last week is running reliably and stronger than ever! I should make an updated video on it. The exhaust is Long tube headers into 2” true dials and flow master 40’s the previous owner had installed.

    • @leojt9423

Phuftbucket hey man, congrats on the purchase! Those wheels are the stock 14” GM steel wheels for drum brakes. I am actually in the process of installing discs on the front which means going to 15” wheels. I’m going with 15” corvette rally wheels like the ones off my Chevelle just different off sets.

Hey man, I love your car! That colour is amazing. I just recently inherited my great grandfather's 1964 Chevrolet Bel Air Sedan that he bought brand new at the time and was the only car he ever owned. Well, I'm proud to say that my grandfather passed down that very car to me. However, it's been sitting since '83 so it's going to be a fun revival! Out of curiosity, I feel like these cars must ride amazing. Is that true? I want to build mine similarly to yours.

I absolutely adore this car. The only thing deterring me from attempting to get one is the fact that the crash ratings on these things is very poor. In the test, the steering wheel pierced the test dummy, while the A pillar folded like origami, trapping the dummy in place. A good solution is a roll cage, and an engine bay reinforcement bar. All in all, nice car!

    • @leojt9423

I’m honestly not sure about the production numbers.. I’d bet back in the 60’s the sedan was absolutely everywhere. I’m pretty sure it was the Toyota Camry back in the day. These days? Not sure.. I hardly see sedans anymore. They were everyone for sale, cheap, around 2010.
