For those of us that speak Spanish fluently...this Spanglish version made it obvious that his Spanish is not perfect. However, I have to applaud him for having the courage and taking the risk to sing in Spanish. A true fan supports in good and bad times. Just saying. 😀

Im not fluent in Spanish, but i can sing it pretty well and switching between English and Spanish is hard for me. You have to stop so abruptly at some points and you mess up alot. Now, if there were breaks in between the English and Spanish parts, his accent and the words wouldnt sound so forced. The dialect wouldn't sond forced either. Yes, he probably doesnt speak Spanish every day so he isnt familiar with how to control the accent and the words, especially since he's singing pretty damn fast.

Like I love SoMo but this is just so awkward for me. I have parents who were born in Mexico & live in a very Mexican populated area, my dad is in a band so it's just meh... People are saying it's hard to switch over from English, it is when you don't know Spanish much. I was raised with both and can have an major accent if I wanted to. lol It's mostly those arent fimilar with it. It takes practice, so i'm bagging on him, but it feels like he just memorized the lyrics in music over the week, never really got into a spanish accent, feel and vibed with it. lol
His Spanish is better than most singers trying to do a Spanglish or Spanish version of their songs. You did good, there's definitely room for improvement but I can honestly say I love the English and Spanglish version equally. Keep doing what you do, you're amazing 😘

I've been taking Spanish classes for 9 years and know alot of Spanish. But when he started singing I just kinda zoned out and wasn't paying attention to the words. His voice can do amazing things to our minds.

I dont speak spanish, but I have a lot of Spanish friends and listen to Spanish music (from Batchata to Reggeaton), but the spanish (especially the accent) on this song sounds really forced. it sounds like another language. Most of the people commenting that this is amazing are white and seem like they are not around Spanish people but just like this because its in Spanish. Anyways Somo, you just need to speak more spanish to make it sound more fluent than anything. Keep it up.

Your friends are probably carribeans because carribeans spanish sounds more different than Peoples spanish and i'm assuming they are carribeans because they listen to bachata and reggaeton because Puerto Ricans, Dominicans and Cubans listen to that a lot and more people from Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Chile, Argentina, Colombia and Peru ETC. actually think the way Carribeans talk sounds more forcefull than us Latin American countries in Land (not Island) especially Puerto ricans since some people in mexico and South America don't know wtf they are saying at times lol but SoMo is Half mexican like she said ontop^^^ his spanish isn't fluent and he needs to top it off atleast to an average level atleast but my spanish is fluent like it's Flowing smoothly 👌

I kinda have to agree, even though I hate to say it. I was just praying for the day he sang in Spanish but you can tell he doesn't speak it often. It's weird because it sounds kind of like Chinese or something, not like Spanish. It's not a Spanish accent either because I can pick up on those since I'm Mexican and don't use that when speaking Spanish. He needed someone to tell him how to correctly annunciate the words..then it'd be amazing. Try again though SoMo! Just practice the language.
Amanda W There's more than just the Mexican Spanish accent, there's also Spain Spanish and Puerto Rico Spanish. They all sound completely different, especially sense Mexican Spanish is the most traditional Spanish where as Spain's Spanish is more modern and evolved.

The fact that he took a risk to sing in another language is... freaking amazing. It may not be perfect, but this version is still awesome. His vocals were on point and hearing him sing in Spanish takes the song to another level.
Look, the accent is obviously off point lol, but ur looking past the fact that this guy is real as fuck showing us his latino side. I applaud my bro SoMo and recognize tht my boy is representing todo los mexicanos, chicanos, latinos, y todo mi jente que habla espanol. Lets all recognize.
I love that you did this Spanglish version, even though you probably knew there would be some ppl with their two cents worth of advise & criticism. Don't listen to them. Why are y'all giving him a hard time on his accent? He was born in the USA. He's only half Mexican. He's just as white as he is Mexican. We don't know if his dad is first gen Mexican so best guess he didn't grow up speaking Spanish. I understood what he said. He definitely beats most American artists trying to cover in Spanish. I loved this version. He really needs to work on his accent with the spanish. Props for actually singing in spanish. But he does sound like he has never really spoke spanish. Still a great version and I absolutely love SoMo and all of his songs a covers. If he keeps practicing then I think that his spanish will absolutely be great. Keep up the good work. I dont speak spanish, but I have a lot of Spanish friends and listen to Spanish music (from Batchata to Reggeaton), but the spanish (especially the accent) on this song sounds really forced. it sounds like another language. Most of the people commenting that this is amazing are white and seem like they are not around Spanish people but just like this because its in Spanish. Anyways Somo, you just need to speak more spanish to make it sound more fluent than anything. Keep it up.
You do realize he is half Mexican, correct? I am fluent in Spanish and his Spanish is actually perfect. Yes it sounds forced but it does take practice.

Your friends are probably carribeans because carribeans spanish sounds more different than Peoples spanish and i'm assuming they are carribeans because they listen to bachata and reggaeton because Puerto Ricans, Dominicans and Cubans listen to that a lot and more people from Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Chile, Argentina, Colombia and Peru ETC. actually think the way Carribeans talk sounds more forcefull than us Latin American countries in Land (not Island) especially Puerto ricans since some people in mexico and South America don't know wtf they are saying at times lol but SoMo is Half mexican like she said ontop^^^ his spanish isn't fluent and he needs to top it off atleast to an average level atleast but my spanish is fluent like it's Flowing smoothly 👌

I kinda have to agree, even though I hate to say it. I was just praying for the day he sang in Spanish but you can tell he doesn't speak it often. It's weird because it sounds kind of like Chinese or something, not like Spanish. It's not a Spanish accent either because I can pick up on those since I'm Mexican and don't use that when speaking Spanish. He needed someone to tell him how to correctly annunciate the words..then it'd be amazing. Try again though SoMo! Just practice the language.
Amanda W There's more than just the Mexican Spanish accent, there's also Spain Spanish and Puerto Rico Spanish. They all sound completely different, especially sense Mexican Spanish is the most traditional Spanish where as Spain's Spanish is more modern and evolved.
CollinGBlair i completely agree with you there are slight variations in dialect and accents but despite that he should practice up on the language if he's going to be singing in the Spanish language.

Not to sound like an ass, but i feel like you're waisting our time having to wait another week for what I liked about your channel, the covers and renditions. I know you're proud of your music, but I don't like that when I subscribed, before you made any original music, that sunday were always exciting because I new I'd get something new. This song is two years old (if were talking about the original sound cloud release). I am getting sick of hearing it, and all of the countless other acoustic renditions that stop us from being able to hear your take on other songs instead of rehashing your own (for the 4th time).

I don't care if his voice has the 'correct' Spanish accent or not. Just because it doesn't sound like everyone else's doesn't mean it's not right. I think this is beautiful as heck!!! It's all I can listen to, and it is an incredible blend of two different languages. I think it is amazing, just like all of his other music!!! I don't know a lot of what he is saying in it, but it makes my heart race all the same :))))
