I have a vl12 and I agree that the tonearm is flimsy. Sound wise, the tt isn’t bad at alI. I prefer my vintage technics 1200, but it doesn’t have the cool LED lighting
Love the plinth!! Still working on a solution to the arm. Also a good idea to rewire the arm direct to the rca so get rim of the preamp hum that happens.
I've had my VL12 for 5 years or so. Bought it for the same reason you said, my table was set up on a cabinet right beside a 1970's Akai speaker and my old Denon DP300F would cop a bit of feedback and noise on specific albums. So I bought the VL12 and all those problems went away. I've had RPM Calculator for years too but I don't think I ever used it on this table. After watching your video I chucked mine on the platter and got a result of 33.31 to 33.39, so I'm OK with that. My RPM Calculator doesn't give me the breakdown of results like wow and flutter measurements though. How'd you get those to display?
This might be the best plinth on a turntable with the worst tonearm. The bearings in the tonearm are horrible. Perhaps if you run heavy weight dj carts it would work but with 1.5 g to 2.2 g the arm really doesn’t work great. Love hate relationship with this turntable.
你测试过vL12的抖晃率吗? 唱臂感觉不可靠所以我买了techincs sl-1200M7L

@@ThriftShopReviews good idea, thanks for the tip. I occasionally lose the preamp hum when plugging into a different outlet.

@@ThriftShopReviews thanks you!
another question, is the pitch stable?
@@clydesalavin8666 pitch seems fine but honestly don’t use it much. When I did it worked fine. The reset button in weird but works.
