What are the chances that 4 amazing musicians and people somehow got together as teenagers and created such amazing music. What are the chances that they would not only be born close enough in age to want to hang out together but also that they grew up so close to each other and found each other in the first place. Would Paul have reached such amazing heights if he never met John. Would Paul and George started a band with someone else and produced anything close to the body of work these guys did together? Would John have been as great as he was? The whole thing is mind boggling to me as the odds of this happening were astronomical. The world is a much better place because of it. Call it luck, call it a divine intervention... Thank the heavens they all met and made such beautiful music that has made the world so happy.
Yes! I wasn't born yet when he passed, and I only discovered his work last year. His music changed my life, and made me desire to be a much better and deeper songwriter, and a better person! Thanks George.

Thanks Paul. Thankyou George, your music still changes lives now and will into the future.
George Harrison was definitely a thoughtful, decidedly non-showbiz personality. Methinks he had the capacity to be content with his lot in life even had the Beatles not become as big as they did.
Unctious hang on though. This is also a guy that was way into formula 1 hanging with the jetset in Montecarlo, mansions, expensive cars... In the 70s and 80s McCartney was way more frugal than he was. George was extremely contradictory. A bit like John in that regard.
Just because he made lots of money - and spent lots of it - doesn't mean he wasn't someone didn't enjoy the inner peace that he sought for most of his life. Why does everyone who makes money have to eschew it in order to be held praiseworthy in this world?
I saw George recently in a dream, (maybe not, recent, but within the last 2 months or so, everything is just cluttered/mixed into a muddled picture, I haven’t really been able to keep track of much anymore) I could *instantly* tell that it was him, and he looked into my eyes, and I looked into his, they were just as beautiful as they were/are here, the same deep, dark, mahogany eyes, he looked into my eyes, with such a serious/sweet way, warm and powerful, but very gentle. There wasn’t any dialogue,(as far as I know) but he had invited me to come with him, just to meditate. And get away from where I’d been hiding, and I walked next to him, into an open room, full of incense, to sit with him/be at peace. He’s recently replaced Ringo as my favorite Beatle, and his solo work makes me smile/cry, the last few months have been hellish, and it’s been George who’s been helping me cope and through it, horrible nightmares and insomnia, tossing and turning in the middle of the night, in tears, and random bouts of crying fits/despair. I’m still struggling with the difficult and scary event, but George’s voice and his wisdom is helping me to somehow, cope with all of it🤔
What I will never get: He's in a band with the two possibly greatest songwriters of their time and what does he do next? Gets his pen out and writes a couple of songs on the same level. That's what I call an answer!
This is a great interview! He seems relaxed and looks so healthy and beautiful here. I mean, the perm and stache combo always makes me laugh but he's still gorgeous. 🥰
That is a very interesting comment. We all think that we grew up in the best of times, and our music played a big part in the making of memories. It must be that George sensed that. He must have yearned for happiness and order to be restored. He said as much.
