- La Cañada Real is a dangerous no-go zone due to it being Europe's largest Illicit drug supermarket ran by gypsy clans. It resembles the zombies of k=Kensington Philadelphia or Skid Row in Los Angeles, but in Europe. I decided to return after a failed attempt in search of honest moroccan immigrants who could show me the dark reality of this place.

Hi Elliot, your channel is interesting, but with respect, how is it you don’t blur out people’s faces in accordance with Spain’s privacy laws? I can’t imagine you have received permission from all the people in your videos. Best to you.
@@Maggie-zr2owbecause if the people consent to an interview (like this people in this video, it’s legal) if you watch the last video, I blurred out a woman’s face. Many people will say “no quiere salir” so I cut all those scenes. Also, recording in the street is legal. If someone happens to come into my screen while I’m speaking and they pass by, it’s fine. Recording inside a house without permission is illegal. Good question.

He went to that place alone, risked his life, recorded an amazing video, showed that there are good people in these places who suffer. Perdona pero en televisión han sacado muchos vídeos de la cañada, todos mala propaganda, para marginar más, si se puede, a sus familias.
El único tramo “peligroso”, dónde se vende ( el que ves en el vídeo), es el último, que son unos metros, mientras que la cañada se compone de un tramo de 15 kilómetros, dónde viven personas cómo tu o cómo yo, trabajadores y honestos.
En youtube hay muchos vídeos de la cañada, algunos si reflejan su realidad, gente humilde defendiendo sus derechos, que el ayuntamiento nunca ha respetado. El problema que hay, es que quieren sacar partido de ese suelo, esos terrenos valen dinero, y hay empresas constructoras interesadas en hacer bloques de pisos, porque Madrid, igual que Barcelona no para de expandirse, ya que en la España interior, no hay trabajo.
Pasa que cuando se hicieron esas viviendas, nadie dijo nada, se les permitió, sin darles ningún permiso escrito, ni sanción. Con el tiempo se les empezaron a cobrar impuestos. Estas casas han pasado 3 generaciones y no es justo que ahora vengan los políticos a reclamar el suelo.
Les quieren ofrecer pisos de alquiler social, esos pisos son un poco más baratos que los alquileres normales, pero pasado un tiempo los venden a un fondo buitre , les suben los precios por las nubes, y las familias tienen que volver a mudarse a saber dónde, porque están los precios muy caros en Madrid.
Es el mismo cuento desde el feudalismo, señores apoderados de la tierra y trabajadores condenados a su avaricia.

Trying doing that to a wealthy gated community. Difference is that he's creating a false narrative that paint them as evil. Something the mainstream has been doing. They don't report this on News becoz the establishment doesn't like announcing their failures and the people they've robbed of opportunities to enrich themselves. Eg. China heavily censors the Media to paint their country as heavenly with great infrastructure yet behind the curtain it's full of poor slums & poor people. The same happens here.

I think they have a good path.. They come from good families and they don't really drink/do drugs. They explaind how they feel that their environment is normal and then when they leave to go somewhere they realize it's really msessed up

As someone who grew in Madrid need to tell you this: do you know about these guys who show in RUclips how ballsy they are practicing their parkour in rooftops and skyscrapers and one day you read in the newspapers one of those fell off a building and die?. One thing is to be ballsy and one thing is to ask for problems. What you did here is really stupid. If someone who is high sees you filming something he does not like you to film consider yourself lucky if you leave unharmed.

From content that was quite similar to others who go to the "most dangerous barrios" to finding your own voice and talking about real issues in the world (and especially Spain), outing pickpockets, showing how deserted the country side in Spain (and most other countries) get to risking your life to show areas of Spain no media outlet has ever shown.

Their slums are no different than here in the USA, or any other country. They are people that entered Spain illegally or legally, but stayed. They possibly don't have documents as well. They learn the language, but they are not Spaniards.

Elliot, you make great content but I'm not sure you should continue with this kind of thing. Every country has shitholes where the destitute are dumped. I've said it before but there are parts of Britain that are way more dangerous and deprived than this. Look at the crap in France and Belgium. Holy Cow, if you really want to see poverty and deprivation go to the poor parts of Naples. Nevertheless, I'm glad you highlight this in Spain. I just don't think you need to make a theme of it. If you really want to highlight poverty in Spain just film a regular village south of Madrid.

The shame is on politicians, they put bad people there. But the most part of “la Cañada”, are good families, workers. And politicians want to get out that families, they didn’t allow some houses to hace light, and cut the street, to forbid car entrance.
3 years ago, they suffer cold weather, snowstorm, one old person passed away, babies in the hospital with “hipotermia”, others were intoxicated with gas of the stove. They want to pay for light, but they didn’t let them. Many of this families are paying to have this houses, but politicians want them out to build skyscrapers, and make money. Spanish politicians are shame.
