    I wish I could post my results here to show a before and after image. My headlights came great. I too thought I needed the severe kit but evidently it worked great. The real test will be to see if it last up to a year like it says. Only time will tell. Thank you again.

    My headlights are so bad that's it's getting dangerous to drive at night. I can barely see the lines and when it's snowing/raining, I can't see them at all. I'm waiting on the heavy duty kit in the mail and can't wait to see what the results are. Seeing you got the 2 step one and it did that good of job, I hope mine turn out looking brand new.

    I just used this product today on my wife's car. The headlights were terrible and totally clouded over. I could have done a bit better of a job, but the difference is massive. You can actually see the bulbs now LOL. Three light applications of clear coat should do the trick for a few months at least, hopefully more. It took about 40 minutes, including cleaning before I started.

      Liam Welsh it’s a specific type of clear coat used for plastic. Regular clear coat isn’t made for the plastic lenses on newer cars and it ends up cracking and fading even faster.

    • @urface12343
      @urface12343 4 года назад +5

      Isauro Bañuelos Nah it’s like a regular clear coat but formulated for use on plastics. Not as durable but durable enough to withstand the elements as used by car manufacturers.

    I just bought this kit on Amazon and used it on three of my vehicles a 1997 Chrysler Sebring a 2005 Acura MDX and a 2015 Nissan Ultima one kit did all three vehicles for $20 to me that’s a great deal it would’ve cost me thousands of dollars to get headlights replaced on all three vehicles What I did before I used it was wipe them down with 100% acetone and microfiber rag never using the same section twice my headlights look brand new now the acetone wipe really removes all the oxidation but you cannot use the same area twice that is the most important thing to remember

    Just did my lights. So the compound never achieved a uniform look. Looked the same for 15 minutes when I finally gave up. By the time I got to removing it it was a fully dry powder. He did not wait very long as you can see by his tape. Mine was covered in white powder. So I did it a second time and only let it sit about 3 minutes. Beautiful results. Like new. Very happy after the initial disappointment.

      @@meregaming1770 I was waiting for it to get achieve that uniform frosted appearance he spoke of. Mine never did and since its a compound it became more powdery than his did due to me letting it sit there drying as I waited. Second time I just waited a few min and worked perfectly.

When the second coat is applied I see noticeable blurring on some sections of the headlights. I also noticed in some videos alcohol is used after sanding and glass cleaner after polishing. If anyone has a thought on the correct way to polish and apply clear coat please let me know. Thanks.

    • @urface12343
      @urface12343 4 года назад

      If you decide to polish the headlights after sanding or this cleaning solution you want to remove any polishing oils with alcohol. 50-50 is good enough to break down the oils. If you leave it on the surface and try to spray over it, it won’t stick as well.
