I like what you said about "frequency and intensity" when asked about the Army school of language learning. I immediately thought of my strength training. I'm 55 years old and started strength training a couple of years ago. I have learned that I need to right mixture of weight, frequency and intensity to get stronger. And if I overdo any of those variable for too long it's just too much stress and I either get hurt or have to take a week or two off to recovery. I have noticed the same thing about language learning - I'm learning Russian and this is my first serious attempt at learning a second language. If I try and get too much intensity (like talking to a real human for too long, or listening to too much Russian with too many unknown words and grammar) then I can get burnt out. So I need just the right dose of frequency and intensity and this has kept me in the game of language learning for the past couple of years. :)
I wish there was a something more that I could do than "like" this video because I absolutely "LOVED" this video. Luca always has been and will continue to be my language hero! ❤
@@LucaLamparielloHello Luca; congratulations for your brilliant work; greetings from the underground. I have already some basics of German and I would like to know how to get into some of your courses .
Hey there! Thanks for purchasing the OIP course! 😃 The next course (about speaking) is coming out within the next 3 months. And the next one is How to Learn 2 Languages at the same (6-9 months)
@@LucaLampariello Ok, perfect. Cant't wait. What enticed me to buy OIP was listening AGAIN to the conversation you had with MattVSJapan and your perspective on deliberate practice applied to language learning. This is the best principle to make progress in any domain. I hope your next course about (speaking) will integrate these principles and the drills and subsets of skills your talked about during this conversation (being able to summarize a situation, using descriptive language, being able to talk for 3 minutes about something)... You're welcome. Thank you for the value that you give to all of us language learners. Wolé (my real name ✌) Peace.
Hey Luca, while learning Greek, did you feel like any of the languages you already studied were helpful in terms of vocabulary/cognates? And which of the languages you already spoke had the most similar grammar / sentence structure?
Hi Luca 👋👋👋 I am so happy to hear and learn from you 'don' Luca 😊. Your spoilers made my day molto grazie. The hyper polyglot Emanuele Marini I his a native Italian speaker can you make some videos with him and I got a idea for you in shaa ALLAH we will talk.
@@LucaLampariello I committed to 100 days of language learningin the middle of July and after reaching that goal and playing around on several apps a day and reading and wordseachs and such I'm now leading the leaderboards in Interlingua, Esperanto, 5th in Latin and 10th in Portuguese as I finish out this day. It's just so much FUN!! Clozemaster Babadum check em out
It seems every level of 5 languages added brings you to rarified company. Reaching 15 would be Kato Lomb level. Reaching 20 is Steve Kauffman level. Keeping practiced at B2+ & above in each is a life of repetition. Are you a member of the Hyperglot association?

I missed this session. It would have been good to try and pose a question to Luca.
Next time 😊
Hey Luca, while learning Greek, did you feel like any of the languages you already studied were helpful in terms of vocabulary/cognates?
And which of the languages you already spoke had the most similar grammar / sentence structure?
Yes, Italian helped me with vocabulary, Spanish with pronunciation and Russian with grammar
Interesting! I wasn't expecting that answer@@LucaLampariello

I already learnt 4 languages and I'm so eager in learning german and tagalog, but idk where to start .. (by myself) ... help!
Besides Italian and English what are the 3 languages you speak the best ?
French, Spanish and German
Really glad to hear you considered Japanese the most difficult language to learn but do you speak Japanese ???
As you study Turkish is there any chance you will use clozemaster to learn?
Never heard of it, is it good?

I miss those times when Matteo used to split the Live intro smaller segments of it so you can just look for what´s relevant for you 🙃
Self-consciousness actually should mean to be realistic and able to realize our own mistakes when interacting with others.

You’re really an amazing person !!!
I thought you’d say Polish would be the most difficult language
You watch Robert Makłowicz! Haha, he's a bloody meme. That's a good one
Makłowicz is the man! Going to watch another video tonight (the one about Budapest and Hungary).
O wish I could see you speaking Japanese
