Everyone is really hung up on the total hp and the quality of his video. He wanted to build something different and share it with everyone. Looks like he accomplished both. I say GREAT job!!!
piss on the haters. Thats quite a feat of engineering you've accomplishsd there specially to keep it looking so stock and all original controls working. Kudos man
It doesn't matter if the choices made in this build were right or wrong... it's one hell of nice project. It's amazing to think of what is being done is garages all over the world by ordinary (yeah right) guys just like you. Keep it up, keep playing with your tools. I can't wait to see what you come up with next :)
Thanks! I converted the sleds original hood to be able to close it over the new engine. Yes "the haters" bothers me sometimes, I wonder if they would give the same comments standing "face to face", probably not.
In the middle of my first mod sled. So many things to work through and that is the best part. Like solving a puzzle but by building the pieces. Nice sled.
omg, who ever was at the end spent more time looking at the ground than the sled. aaanyway. that sled is insane. mega props on fitting a v8 into that tight space. thats amazing. never been a fan of the vmax, but this looks sweet.
Thank You Sir! I could not have said it better myself. It tok me a lot of planing and hard work to be able get that engine running OK, and the sled aswell. The snowmobile looks different today(this was the very first testride). I did´nt have rich parents that could buy me stuff. I had to earn my own money and buy old rides and fix e´m up myself. This sled was published in Snowgoer, Canadas only national sled magazine in -06. Thanks Sven
I think it's fantastic and something you should absolutely be very proud of! Beautiful sled and great job. Very few people could actually accomplish an idea like this so remember that when someone wants to speak negatively!
It´s easy to insult people over the internet. I feel sad for them, they must live miserable lifes. Thank You for your support! I know the video needs editing though. Cheers Sven
Wow that’s amazing nice looking sled and one of a kind. You do great work not many people would be able make something like that work. Thanks for sharing I really enjoyed it 👍🏻
This is very cool and very very clean looking looks like it came from factory like that I'm very impressed great job you should be very proud no matter what anyone says . I am amazed!!! Again great job
Nice build! Now days people seems to go extreme overkill and Ls-swap every thing and it's just ridiculous. This one looks good and actually seems to ride like any other snowmobile. Tummen upp!
Nice bit of work here....sorry you were beat up by some haters...this is something completely different that anyone in their right mind can appreciate!
Thanks Ron, when I made this video is was to document the first startup only. It was never ment for youtube. I didn´t know at the time we downloaded the video here how to edit (I still don´t, lol). I think the result is ok, considering almost zero budget. I´m not sure why some people always look for ways to insult someones work. But I think it´s probably because themselfes could never even come close to be able to do something like this.
I was able to locate one of these so called haters, He was living in northern Canada. most pictures I found of him, he was sitting in old tractor with a lumberjack shirt and a baseball cap on his head. I could not find a single picture of him working on any project close to this. A matter of fact I didn´t see any project at all. I belive this summens up most critics or haters here.
powersled some people dont understand art. Also, some people are miserable, and want to bring others to their level. Those people don't generally understand the blood sweat and tears that go into building something new.
@chummer2007 Thank you. These engines came from the 500 interceptor model. I have had hundreds of Honda V4:s(buying and selling). From the early V45:s to the last of the V45:s(supermagna). I still have a few left, wich one is an -84 V65 magna(49state mod.) in factory new condition with most of the factory options. And yes, it was a lot of work! More than anyone can imagien.
Congrats pal! From the world's all-time hottest snowmobile, the Vmax-4, you've successfully built something even hotter and totally unique! Damn this is fat! Very very good job! Ride it with pride, it's an impressive beauty!
Thank You for seeing the sled, and not the pretty bad unedited video! This video was shot to document the first startup, and never ment for youtube. It looks a bit differrent today.
powersled Then you have to get some more shooting and uploading done! We are many people who can't wait to see, sure! Keep up your great work, man! This is quite amazing!
I´m so glad you liked it. Many don´t for some reason. In a few months I´ll post a video of a -69 Mustang 429 Boss hemi I´m restoring here in Sweden. It´s an actual Nascar surviver!
That is crazy man, like the previous guy said. Screw the haters.....they are jealous that they didn’t think of doing this or even have half the smarts to pull it off! Sounds badass!
Thank You Craig. Thís was the very first startup. Looks different today. I posted this for people like you. Some people always find something to complain about, for reasons you just wrote.
Hi, and thanks for not insulting my work as so many others have done. This is the first startup 10 years ago, the sled looks different today, and fuelinjection is installed.
Thank You great white hunter. It´s easy to critizis someone from a long distance far far away hiding behind a screen. Ivé asked a few to show me what they have done, since my sled is so horrible. Never gotten any replys, I wonder why?? Lol
@MrDieseltwitch Remember this is a video from the first startup several years ago, the sled looks different today. I´m planning to install a fuel injection system and modified cams. This would make this sled more powerful and reliable. I just finished a complete restoration of an -66 Shelby GT350 and I got several more muscle car projects waiting. This gives me very little time to work on this sled, wich was a fun build many years ago. Thanks for looking
Beste hilsen Svein
It was never meant for public viewing, only to document the first startup. It was difficult to download since it was analog, and I was not able to edit the video. This upset some people. I desided it was worth to upload it anyway.
But some guys just love to critizise what I do. I did total restoration of a 1966 Shebly GT 350. The car looked like it came out the shelby plant in -66. The only thing I hadn´t had time to change was the front discs. One guy came in to my shop and looked at the car, the only thing he saw was those used discbrakes.
Sweet...a couple of Honda VFOUR's. They were great motors in their day. Had a V65 magna and a V45 'ceptor. Great job, must have been alot of work to accomplish this.
Amazing work, love the way the exhaust sounds. I love the VMAX platform, I have a 92 VMAX 1200 motorcycle talk about fast, powerful. I am looking for another VMAX 1200 motorcycle. The plan is to transplant the 1200cc engine from the motorcycle into my 99 VMAX 500 sled, then paint the sled to match the motorcycle.
its a sick ride..but why only 140hp when I think V8 I figure it would start at 300hp or more. was it by choice or you just had the engine type of thing?
That's neat and impressive. Agree it would look much better in a more radical sled than that. Maybe a Manta racing chassis for example. I would think the HP would be much greater than that. Send me another video when you finish. Love that custom stuff. Oh yeah...fire the video guy!
let em hate, use it as motiavtion for the future, you must be doing somthing right if they are hating because hating equals jealously! keep up the boss engineering! #hatersBLOW
Great idea, I would have went with skidoo body tho, just my opinion, I had a Yamaha like that, suspension wasn't the best, but love how you fit it in! Good job
Mod sleds rule - good work! Most of the haters on here couldn't even hold a wrench.
Everyone is really hung up on the total hp and the quality of his video. He wanted to build something different and share it with everyone. Looks like he accomplished both. I say GREAT job!!!

Yes "the haters" bothers me sometimes, I wonder if they would give the same comments standing "face to face", probably not.
probably not it is an awesome sled
In the middle of my first mod sled. So many things to work through and that is the best part. Like solving a puzzle but by building the pieces. Nice sled.
Ignore the Haters bro keep up the good work
+Ethan Weston Thank You Ethan, I needed that.
omg, who ever was at the end spent more time looking at the ground than the sled.
aaanyway. that sled is insane. mega props on fitting a v8 into that tight space. thats amazing. never been a fan of the vmax, but this looks sweet.
Very nice,good job

awesome job on the sled build, have ya done anymore cool project likes this?
Way to go my friend , !
DEFFINITLY will hear this one coming even over the freeway noise.
Very well built in my opinion love the way the hood looks, hope to see more great builds like this
Awesome that this looks like a normal sled aside from side pipes
I think it's fantastic and something you should absolutely be very proud of! Beautiful sled and great job. Very few people could actually accomplish an idea like this so remember that when someone wants to speak negatively!
This is so cool on so many different levels! full respect to you and your engineering abilities. Cheers
I can’t help myself. That is super clever. Well done!
Ignore the hate, this thing is a beast and shows quite a feat of engineering! Awesome sled.
It´s easy to insult people over the internet. I feel sad for them, they must live miserable lifes. Thank You for your support! I know the video needs editing though. Cheers Sven
Very, very nice! It takes tremendous perseverance and skill to see a project like this through. Thanks for building it, it's fantastic seeing it run!!
Wow that’s amazing nice looking sled and one of a kind. You do great work not many people would be able make something like that work. Thanks for sharing I really enjoyed it 👍🏻

This is a really cool build man! I really like it and i can't imagine the time put into it! Ignore all the bad comments, this is really awesome! :)
This is very cool and very very clean looking looks like it came from factory like that I'm very impressed great job you should be very proud no matter what anyone says . I am amazed!!! Again great job
Thanks Randy
thats awesome ...thumbs up !!
Forget the haters , keep up the good work . The engineering is fantastic ! You got skills dude lol
That's an awesome bit of fabrication! Nice job!
as a mechanic that is a work of art.. Nice job like to see it in action
Nice looks factory good job! 👍
Thanks for seeing the sled, and not the bad unedited videotape
hahaaha thats awesome
runs and looks fantastic never saw a V8 in a sled b4!!!! now thats skill that most of us dont have. awesome job man!!!!!
Nice!
Way to think outside of the box!!
I bet that sled will fly...
Nice build! Now days people seems to go extreme overkill and Ls-swap every thing and it's just ridiculous. This one looks good and actually seems to ride like any other snowmobile.
Tummen upp!
Heavy looking sled
wow. incredible workmanship. Kudos!

Sounds so unique and soothing
Awesome sled! You did an excellent job on the design and fabrication!
That is awesome. How could anybody hate on it?

That thing's got a heck of a soundtrack to it.
man the sled looks sick
AMAZING! Well done! If you can build that you can build anything! Props!
Thanks, and thanks for not complaning about the unedited video, like many others have done. The sled is more refined today.
That is badass great job looks like V max engines
Based on Honda VF500 Interceptor engines
Cool hotrod! Good job on the build. Looks sweet
Thanks Kyle, and thanks for not being one of those insulting "haters".
powersled some people dont understand art. Also, some people are miserable, and want to bring others to their level. Those people don't generally understand the blood sweat and tears that go into building something new.
very nice!! i bet that things an awsome cruiser!! good job!
Incredible build.
Thank You, a long time ago now.
My left ear was like that :D but really its so cool!
A well done job. That would get Me back into snowmobiling
Thank´s Ronald.
@chummer2007 Thank you. These engines came from the 500 interceptor model. I have had hundreds of Honda V4:s(buying and selling). From the early V45:s to the last of the V45:s(supermagna). HONDA MAGNA!! Id recognize those valve covers anywhere.
Also the interceptor.
Sick sled! Impressive work.
thats some engineering you did building in your garage ...its cool and sounds great
Damn buddy your a mechanical maniac!! Great job👍👍 amazing.
Very cool. Great engineering bro.
Thanks, unedited video!
Nice clean build
i was gonna say that looks like the motor in my vf500c but it looks like that was taken care of below. nice creation
This was the first testride, would you use full trottle?? That would have been pretty stupid, dont you think?
That is crazy man, like the previous guy said. Screw the haters.....they are jealous that they didn’t think of doing this or even have half the smarts to pull it off! Sounds badass!
Thank You Craig. Thís was the very first startup. Looks different today. I posted this for people like you. Some people always find something to complain about, for reasons you just wrote.
nice 30 something year old machine, your workmanship is very good.
That's just fucking sick man what a job. Very nice
Thanks! I should make a new video. The sled looks different today.
snuygg och låter mysigt! grejt!
Dude I need more of this sled!!!! 😂😂😂😂
Crazy a V8 sled!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Nice bit of engineering! ...Although I'm amused by the reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeemote-mount alternator. ;)
Nice and clean install.Good job !
Hi, and thanks for not insulting my work as so many others have done. This is the first startup 10 years ago, the sled looks different today, and fuelinjection is installed.
Wow ! nice job !!!!amazing!!!!!!
That's outrageous.love it.people who hate are just jealous.ya beat them to it.

Engineering genius!
nice build!

@powersled no problem!!! i appreciate a great work of art when i see one. no matter how old it is.
Man that is cool. Sounds sweet to.
Don’t let the haters get to you! You just keep on going and you did a very nice job may I add!! There will be haters in what ever is done! Good job!!
Thank You! I try not to. I posted this video for people like you. The video "stinks" but the sled is ok.
powersled The video does not stink!
It was never meant for public viewing, only to document the first startup. It was difficult to download since it was analog, and I was not able to edit the video. This upset some people. I desided it was worth to upload it anyway.

Wow that’s a sweet sled
Nice work and really nice sled

Wanna piss off the neighbors? This beast is what you need!
Thanks, it´s not the only radiator. One more under the seat. Thanks for not complaining about the bad "movie producer".
Real, nice rig buddy. Most have used a shoe horn to get that engine correctly mounted in that small engine bay
Thanks!
@powersled well i understand why you did it and i have to say very well done man. Looks sounds and runs great!
nice sled man what ignition did you use on it to get the timing right?
Great looking machine but 140 hp?
Nice work.
How awesome is that!😘...i love it!💜💕
its a sick ride..but why only 140hp when I think V8 I figure it would start at 300hp or more. was it by choice or you just had the engine type of thing?
Very nice! Looks oem. Sounds incredible. I would guess it makes power from around 3k to 7k rpm?
cool sled love it
Häftigt bygge måste jag medge, hur mycket soppa drar den?
That is sweet looking. I wonder what it weighs though. I hated getting my yamaha unstuck
As it was a brick in snow amd this sled looks way heavy
det där är nog det farligaste jag nånsin har sett i hela mitt liv :P
That thing looks Awesome! How much does it drink fuel?
That's neat and impressive. Agree it would look much better in a more radical sled than that. Maybe a Manta racing chassis for example. I would think the HP would be much greater than that. Send me another video when you finish. Love that custom stuff. Oh yeah...fire the video guy!

Nice build.
Great job. Like what the others said let's see it at full throttle and a startup... 5 stars
Great idea, I would have went with skidoo body tho, just my opinion, I had a Yamaha like that, suspension wasn't the best, but love how you fit it in! Good job
