Some of the trucks are having glow plug issues. Plug these great engines' BUILT-IN block heaters into an extension cord with the cord plugged into a timer , and set the timer to warm up the engine for 2 hours before starting.
@@user-tq1bs2fj9h it keeps your engine block, oil and antifreeze warm so it’s not as detrimental starting your engine in the extreme cold. Glow plugs only come on briefly to warm up the fuel and air at the cylinders to help ignition efficiency
I don’t know how I just seen this video lol I had to look twice to realize that’s my truck in the thumbnail lol
2:41 Good grief bro let the starter rest some! Ur gonna end up burning the freaking starter out!

@@shitshowracing17s62 lmao that’s what I do my lb7 is always plugged in come November
No some of these are “fake” cold starts it’s where you hold the gas down and don’t let it cycle through
The poor buddy, with the GM should not be starting that hard. I would say he has a bad left pump pity on the starter.
Do people know what the block heater is for ….
The block heater just allows the engine and glow plugs to warm up

How cold was it that day?
This is a good thing?
They need to keep cranking longer when it’s trying to start instead of constantly stopping.
You apparently don’t know much about vehicles, they could flood it if they crank it for too long
And destroy the starter.
And Dmaxs stop themselves sometimes…
@@CougsFan17 no lol its not a rotary engine
@@michaelwolfe1556 overheat the starter in that weather i think not maybe after 5 min of cranking
What’s that bumper you got?
My stepdad had a 2011 Chevy 3/4 ton hd duramax with 1/4 of a million miles on it before he traded it in for a 1/2 ton truck
Ok and?
Where did you get these lights at?
Wtf are wrong with these trucks. Mine don't start this bad
