Thanks for the video. When I started my car I noticed that the voltage only went up to about 25-26 or as in your video yours was at 60 something. Does this mean my alternator maybe bad. My battery is not too old and the voltage with the car on was 13 and a half with it off it was about the same as you were getting
Hello i have a mercedes Gla 220cdi UB is 14.5 But IB:3.4 whats the problem what can i do, IB first is minus but but maximal goes 3.4 3.7 not more, thank you
The alternator can't charge 60 amps continuously it's called a voltage regulator it will drop to negative while driving from time to time it only charges when necessary voltage regulator keyword
my w251 has such behavior: voltage drops and generator stops charging when touching the pedal. This is to help acceleration but I don't know if this will lead transmission jerk during shift. Can someone know how to code/disable such "smart charge" function?
When engine is running - UB is 14.3 and stable and also IB went from negative to positive when idling but it gradually drops and stays around 7.3. What does this mean? Is it normal for IB to drop when engine starts?
The IB amperage can read negative to positive at any time it means absolutely nothing as long as your battery voltage stays between a predetermined set limit around 11:05 to 147 triggers the IB amperage to either go positive or negative it's designed to regulate the voltage in the battery at all times

My IB is under 2 A when the car starts and UB is 15V. The car takes longer to start in the morning. The battery is 7 years old. Is it the battery issue or alternator ?
I keep getting a 12 V Battery Alert on my GLE. With the engine running it shows UB: 14.9 V and IB only stays around 2.1 A. Isn’t that too low? Does the low IB indicate a problem with the alternator?

My voltage while driving is 14.6 when car is running but IB drop and stays around 3-5 amps. When I’m parked it doesn’t go up. Does this mean my alternator isn’t charging my battery enough. PS already had to jumpstart once recently hence why I’m checking battery and IB

Hi, my s212 hybrid also have that voltage values but the Amps are lower, between 3-5 without consummers on. My battery Varta G14 it is a new one. Yesterday ive put all the instruments on, lights, sound, AC inclueded and the amps gone down to 1,5A. I think it was about the consumers was on. So, im thinking if the consummers are on, they used the amps, and the alternator just inject 2-3A on the battery. My battery it is a 12V 95Ah 850A. If it is new one, the current are full on.
If you have trouble seeing the display, as I did, hold the phone button, then quickly hold the ok button, and wait about 7 seconds. I get negative amps.

My UB reads 12.1V and IB reads -18.5A I’m not sure why my car is not starting as I’m not getting any error messages and I’ve changed my starter motor and even changed the starter relay just now as I thought that would fix the problem. But now I’m sitting in the car and it still does not even crank. I don’t know what else it could be.

Thank you. If the IB is not going up positively thus this means my alternator is not working anymore?
Thanks for the video. When I started my car I noticed that the voltage only went up to about 25-26 or as in your video yours was at 60 something. Does this mean my alternator maybe bad. Good vid much appreciated I'll try this since I just replaced my battery today 👌🏾
The alternator can't charge 60 amps continuously it's called a voltage regulator it will drop to negative while driving from time to time it only charges when necessary voltage regulator keyword
Mine went to about 30 when I turned the engine on and then fell is 4.3. I assume my battery is on its way out?

Means your battery is healthy, a battery is starting low at 11.7, this alternator is working too hard
The IB amperage can read negative to positive at any time it means absolutely nothing as long as your battery voltage stays between a predetermined set limit around 11:05 to 147 triggers the IB amperage to either go positive or negative it's designed to regulate the voltage in the battery at all times
If your battery is below 11.5 and you don't see a positive on IB amperage then it's possible your alternator is not working correctly

I have same problem.
have this key combo for W221 ?
I have rear battery problems
If the IB value drops to 3 amps does that mean the alternator is bad?
Once I started the engine I got the IB reading around 10-12, what is that represents?

Great video. I tested my w207 e550 2010 and mine reads 13.6v when running. Is this normal for that year? I just got a new battery installed.
