Dude I am LOVING these vids. I just got the new honcho 2 weeks ago, and you've given me sooo many ideas. Please keep these coming, thanks for the purchase links in the descriptions too. I'm an intermediate RC guy but a novice crawler and I'm learning so much. Keep it up!
This was totally worth the wait. I’m really liking that you’re implementing 3D printed parts, since so many guys have printers and use and design parts.
Great video. Just wanted to say thanks for going into the detail on the motors was always confused about that. Really like how you used the recycled parts made a huge difference and the view of the truck.
Another great video in this series. Like I said on SBG, this build-off style series is awesome. I hope after this one is done that you guys will do a ‘moderate budget build-off’ like $100/week on another new truck. The side panels are 🔥🔥. Their lines flow great with those badass rear tail lights. Keep up the great video content!
looking good bro little by little you're changing my mind of picking up a Honcho wasn't really feeling it when it came out all your little tricks and ideas making it look good👍👊
Using those bumper parts that way is a great idea. I used some of your ideas and some of Matt’s . I m using some pit bulls on my honcho. I still need the Beadlocks though.
Josh, I'm not on who normally wins things (OK, I've never won anything!! 😜), but I'll definitely put my hat in the ring! My Wraith project just got a Holmes Hobbies 30 Turn TorqueMaster Pro Handwound Motor, and I couldn't be happier!! Holmes should be the go-to for anyone looking for high quality, personalized service and reasonable prices too. No, I don't work for them, just believe in the product. I'm surprised along with others, that the stock links are hanging on this long!! 👍👍 Carmine 🚂 (PoorManRC on RC Crawler Forums)
The build is coming along great. Keep up the amazing work sir. I would like some of those 3d brackets for the honcho cage and body. But hopefully soon I will get a body honcho body and cage. Thank you for the opportunity sir
Hey Harley been fallowing both u guys on these builds..and loving the mods and differents between the both .. Those mounts are boss..i really like that ideal as it looks like it belongs there.. Very cool...anyways thumbs up from me ..bring on the the next video....
I’m with the post below: I would like to see some sort of body mod and/or paint. A new body would be great too. My trick RC has some great LED kits that are super bright and they also have warm white LEDs instead of the blue white we are used to.
Thank you sometimes the average builder needs fresh ideas lol I notice sometimes on a project I get builders block lol seems my imagination works when it wants any way really nice engineering looks really good I'm the same when it comes to seeing through the rig ...keep it scale and take it easy bro..😎
Way cool! Been thinking about upgrading my motor so im looking forward to a run video now to see how that motor does.i really like the side panels that was really clever and looks good.great job man.
The bumper panel mod is just sweet! Makes me wonder why Axial didn't finish off that ugly open space in the 1st place but really digging what y'all did!!
Nice vid Josh, glad you're better. Never thought of using those panels like that. I've got a Tekin fxr pro 40t on my Honcho, never tried any HH yet. Later
No I actually am trying real hard to keep from buying anything new. I just purchased my first TF2 Marlin Edition for C1 and have my Toyzuki running for C2. I find I end up with too many projects and none of them get completed. Besides as far as she knows I've had them all for a long time no matter how new.
I almost pulled the trigger on a tf2 last week. been wanting a leaf sprung truck to ad to the fleet. I'm so happy I didn't after finding a better source to purchase em. I ended up getting all the springs and brackets, axles, and frame for under $100! I got the transfer case for $25. RC4wd really hikes up their prices on China parts,,,and I mean HIKES.
Hi Josh. I have watched almost all of your videos. I like what you are doing. I have a succestion for you. Maybe you could start build series for mud crawler ( different from rock crawler) I am still collecting money to start my own build but my idea is to use MPA axles by MST, put portals on them, use Capo cable steering and four steering, use 3 speed transmission and other interesting ideas. Maybe you could start your own build series with these kind of settings? Love your channel. Keep up the good work. Greetings from Estonia. :)
I have done two mud truck builds in the past. If you’re going to build one, I’d suggest simple and strong. Single speed transmission and normal straight axles. Skip the portals, don’t do cable steering. Mud is hard on parts and those things will fail.
Yeah, but everyone else are doing that. I want to use different type of settings. Everything is usable if I think things thru and make things strong and solid. I now that you have done mud trucks. I think that I have watched almost every build video in YT but alost every youtuber is doing same thing. I want to do something different. I used to build real scale mud trucks and mus crawlers but my health is not very good anymore. So I decided to start RC build. You know, in real scale innovation was the key to success, so I think that in RC world the same rules apply. I simply succested you to start building something unique :) You do not have to do it but I think that a lot of true RC fans want to see truly unique build :)
I like the gap filler think spend few dollars for yeah racing scale diamond plate would look killer painted black. I would like more on gearing in the future.
Your lucky your on the west coast now lol cause if you were still on this side of the country you would be late upload on thursday at 12:20am great video tho as always and love the bed mods
Aloha from Hawaii Josh! I've just gotten into the scale scene and have recently picked up a SCX10ii Honcho after watching the budget build series with SBG. Seriously awesome and helpful for someone like me just getting into scale building. I wanted to know the material you used to 3d print the bracket used to reuse the front bumper panels? I appreciate your time sir.....Mahalo
Those brackets are genius!
Looks good I liked the side panel to cover up the hole in the body
I just got my trail honcho week ago , I’ve been following from the beginning awesome build off
The bed mod really makes it look much better. Great idea.
Liked the brackets to use the bumper as a filler good work
Love what you did with the bumper panels. Looks like it was meant to go there
Dude! I love the innovation of the recycled bumper plate! It looks killer and keeps parts on the truck. Well done sir.
Those brackets look awesome. Thank you for the chance to win a set! Have a honcho on the way!

Great idea re using the bumper panels
Ty for explaining the armature's on the motor.
Great use of those plates!
Cool video! Nice way to recycle parts from the bumper. Looking forward to seeing a run video with new motor.
It is looking really awesome. Bought my son one he is going to dig it.
Your bumper panel idea is awesome. Id like to do that for sure. Great choice on motor too.
Looks great. 3d printed parts are ingenious.
Love the idea of recycling the bumper plates. Looks killer! I wouldn’t mind a set myself.
Pretty amazing how different the truck looks. Just not everyone has or knows someone with a 3d printer. But cool to watch still.
Wow... 6 weeks and no replacement links yet. These plastic ones must be much improved. Great Vid Josh. Appreciated as always
They really are a lot better.
Wow! This build gets better and better! That recycling - 3d printed thingi is such an awesome idea! Really great work! 👍👍
Really enjoying this build, its giving some great ideas for upgrades on my honcho, those filler plates for the rear are a great idea
Great move with the panels. Looks good!
This was totally worth the wait. I’m really liking that you’re implementing 3D printed parts, since so many guys have printers and use and design parts.
Looking good I'm loving the build off between you and Matt 👍
Cool idea with the bumper parts! Good tips on the motor- great video!
Love the panels...wouldn't mind a set😉. That motor is great for smooth starts. Can't wait to see the next running video. 👍
Josh that is brilliant, I have the side plates always wondered what to do with them.
I love that you always innovate some kind of new bracket on your builds. This looks great and I hope I win a set of them.
Great video. Just wanted to say thanks for going into the detail on the motors was always confused about that. Really like how you used the recycled parts made a huge difference and the view of the truck.
just finding this series from you and Matt. The reuse of the aluminum wing from the original bumper came out really cool, nice work
Another great video in this series. Like I said on SBG, this build-off style series is awesome. I hope after this one is done that you guys will do a ‘moderate budget build-off’ like $100/week on another new truck.

Keep up the great video content!
The panels came out looking good
Glad to see you’re feeling better! Love the brackets. Would love to get my hands on a set.
Great video. I really like how you reused the bumper panels on the back. Very clever and it looks great.
looking good every week! love the bed fill in's. Holmes electrics are awesome!
Build is looking great! Nice replacement motor as well. I look forward to seeing it run.
Cool as I like the bed fillers 😉
I look forward to these videos on the regular. I love what you’ve done and the deadbolt budget build is what got me into crawlers. keep it up sir!
Man this thing is looking sick! Deffintly helping with ideas for my build.
Hey print me some! That's a sweet mod! Loving this series
looking good bro little by little you're changing my mind of picking up a Honcho wasn't really feeling it when it came out all your little tricks and ideas making it look good👍👊
I’d love some of the brackets. Already have a new bumper so I have the parts ready to go
Looking good Josh!!
Love your ideas. Keep it coming. Can't wait to see more.
Great BUILD series bro!
Just got a scx10.2 Trail Honcho, it's MIDWID! time!
Using those bumper parts that way is a great idea. I used some of your ideas and some of Matt’s . I m using some pit bulls on my honcho. I still need the Beadlocks though.
That repurposed filler panel is a great idea.
Can’t wait to see your wrap you put this truck body and change the Over all look 👀 of that Toyota

Looks great man 👍🏻 good job with the panels .. very cool 😎

Build is looking good
Great motor! HH crawl master is so smooth. At the end of the series SBG and yourself should make a crawl video together.
Thank you sometimes the average builder needs fresh ideas lol I notice sometimes on a project I get builders block lol seems my imagination works when it wants any way really nice engineering looks really good I'm the same when it comes to seeing through the rig ...keep it scale and take it easy bro..😎
Awesome brackets
Love this build. Amazes me every week.
Nice update. 👍😊👍and upgrades.
I put a home Depot toolbox on mine and it makes it looks really good just a tip for you mate and thank you for this it helps me with my honcho
nice bit of recycling looks good i'm looking at those motors now lol
Awesome part!
Looks great! I would say next mod should be a winch or something to change the appearence of the body.
Way cool! Been thinking about upgrading my motor so im looking forward to a run video now to see how that motor does.i really like the side panels that was really clever and looks good.great job man.
Awesome episode
Great video as always
Great vid truck looks great really liking the budget build u guys are doing 👍
Would love a set of those.
Keep up the good work!
Great job Harley Designs.. Love the look of it man.. Thanks for sharing.. :)
That’s a awesome mod.
Nice job on the mods!! 👍👍
Loving the series keep it up
I think a front mounted motor setup would be great. Like the SSD RC setup.
Sick modification! Wanting to know if I could win a pair . Adds that aggressive look to the honcho !
Later
That is awesome! would love to add thos panals!
Hi, that's a great idea, best of all, it looks really good to. 😀 👍 👍 👍
It's going along great. You and sbg.
I’d like some of those brackets. I’m not longer using my stock front bumper.
I would love to have that bracket for my honcho
Looks great I think it could use leaf spring suspension in the rear
Alex R but he is going for performance and that would lessen the performance
Awesome mod
I wouldn't mind a set of the side panel holders for my honcho, that would be awesome, I don't have a 3D printer .
i just bought a new house and im a little tight on cash at the moment this project seems like a great one to follow along with
That's a interesting little addition. This build series of both trucks is making it hard to maintain my "No new trucks" resolution.
You mean "your wife/girlfriend's 'no new trucks' resolution"? ;-)
No I actually am trying real hard to keep from buying anything new. I just purchased my first TF2 Marlin Edition for C1 and have my Toyzuki running for C2. So cool
Awesome video dude thanks
would like to see a axle mounted servo. maybe something other then UC Fab for a mount. would 3-D printing hold up ?
you should do a build that the viewers pick the parts with votes!!!

How about adding mud flaps? Street legal trucks as such drive to the trails and I believe that most states require them.
great way to reuse parts i try to do the same
Bout time fool!
Your lucky your on the west coast now lol cause if you were still on this side of the country you would be late upload on thursday at 12:20am great video tho as always and love the bed mods
Harley I’ll use that bracket on my Honcho, plus you already had something coming this way! 😬

Great idea for the sides of the fuel cell... I would love that 3D printed bracket! !!!! Don't have a 3D printer though :( trying to find someone
