*I miss going back to Thailand, my last visit to Thailand was in 217, But I will still wait for an other year until everything is settled down in Thailand. I have watched you in Kulas's vlog and that's what brought me here. You guys are awesome keep vlogging.*
Thanks Des, so excited that you are going! Feel free to ask us anything you want to know. I love Koh Phayam....its a fantastic little island......not spoilt YET. However it's only a matter of time.....a few years ago there was no ATM, and a lot less visitors, but I guess that's progress. I always stay at Jume horizon on buffalo Bay....very rustic with lovely owner.
I stayed at Vijit Bungalows back in 2002 for about 6 weeks and it was very basic compared to how it looks now but was still amazing. So nice to see it is still running. Not sure if the guy who served you the rum drink was Vijit's son who would now be a grown man. He used to get big beetles and put them under his vest and press on them to make them buzz haha. Many lazy days chilling out playing footy on the beach. Saw a leatherback turtle laying her eggs ❤Amazing to find a video of it so thanks for a trip down memory lane 👌😊
Could you give a rough estimate what you pay for food, drinks and transport on the island, because my knowledge is so limited that I cannot even estimate a ballpark number. Thank you. And great video!
Thanks so much! All prices were definitely comparable to the rest of Thailand, bike hire was 300B per day, but we got a better deal as we hired two bikes for multiple days. Unsure how much the other transport options are as we didn't need them. Emma's Pina Colada's were about 180 B all over the island, beers always under 100. Some food places were really cheap, others a bit more, depending on what you're looking for. We really didn't feel it was any more expensive than the rest of thailand at all, if anything we spent less than budgeted while we were there. Hope that helps, will be sharing more in the next few vlogs and feel free to email us if you have more specific questions :) travellingsticks@gmail.com
