See people, this is the original TRON movie from 1952, the one that started it all, I first saw it in '89, I was a lil' snotnose, only 6, it must have been like the 20th rerun on cable TV but for me it was the very first experience with this glorious franchise, I remember it vividly, I was glued to the screen and my eyes became glassy. None of the sequels came anywhere close to the magic of this masterpiece. Thank you VERY much for refreshing this wonderful memory, dear Abandoned Films team! 💚

Thanking them for the experience. Thanking them... for EVERYTHING.

I'd like to point out to anyone who might not know, the primary thing that gives footage an "old fashion" look, is not film grain, it's not the lenses, it's the lighting. Look at the shadows cast on the faces, they are all front lit with no delusion so the shadows look sharp and almost stage play -like. That's how they used to light things pre-mid 70s. Watch most movies before that and you'll see the same lighting, lots of shadows, directing lighting, no delusion. A secondary characteristic is the color, specially the shadows are more reddish tinted. Once you notice this you will never be able to not unsee it that all films were lit this way.

The problem is that people of the 1950s would have just wondered "Digi what? What the heck is that?" 1950s scifi looked awesome. There is a lot of space to explore retro-50s sci-fi in a modern context similar to Fallouts retro50s future prewar.

In childhood I was 9 years old and i was in Mumbai and watch first time a hollywood movies name tron legacy in English with my sister and father and i got nothing understand but the scenes and bikes was amazing and i am fan of it❤❤❤
