My mum use to sell fish there back in the early 80s before we moved to NZ. My cousin Lina and late husband Agagi were there selling fish, but after his passing they sold all their boats and kept a few.
Those days always remember our parents' hard working and to support the family so we grow up not hungry or struggling with anything. My dad uses canoe to go fishing and then my sisters and I sell it door to door. Alofa atu.
@pulepulefamilyoutwest6454 I always like to visit the market when I come back, brings good memories. I still remember my dad heading out fishing they left all the fishing hooks behind. 😆 He was lost out at sea and they found him and my uncles in Fiji 😆.
I wonder if your dad knows my dad? The hard work they did for us to make sure we had good schooling and lives growing up. Alofa atu and enjoy your holiday.
