Even more than most Marvel characters he’s always been the one who saw an injustice and asked humans “why?”
It seems almost sad that this is probably an MCU peak. The 10 year build up to that moment, just phenomenal. Anything that comes after, though it will be good, even amazing, will probably never touch that moment. But what a moment.

I’m so glad this came out before the Rona crap hit the fan. Such a badass scene from an awesome movie. Like 11+ years of emotion came out of everybody at the end with Tony. I’ll never forget how the entire auditorium wasn’t even ashamed or embarrassed, everybody was crying like babies, even me lol
What's interesting is that if you watch the behind-the-scenes video they filmed it with Chris Evans actually picking it up off the ground, so it really WAS Cap lifting that hammer! I think they were originally going to do it another way maybe, like show Cap lifting the hammer and then throw it but then decided it would have more impact if we didn't know who or how it was being lifted until we see Cap's face. It's interesting to watch Age of Ultron, having seen this scene. When the guys are trying to lift Mjolnir, Thor looks slightly worried when Cap takes his turn, then is relieved when Cap can't lift it. It was almost as if Thor believed the Cap might be worthy and be able to lift it way back then.
I wish I'd been in a theater with people who could react like that. My theater was The Walking Dead. And I'll never be able to get that moment back. You people have no idea how much I envy you being in that atmosphere.

The Directors said that Cap was worthy ever since.... he was acting as if the hammer was heavy as he attempted to wield it in Age of Ultron but he didn’t want to embarrass Thor. So He didn’t lift it until Endgame came out.

Just imagine, you are lucky to live in a country where theaters are open, watch the movie, and want to scream it out in the public and then getting hated all over the world, because there are millions of people who haven't been able to see it. Our theaters are still closed like they were most of last year. They opened for a short period of time last November and then we went into another "lockdown" and they are still closed in April. At this rate I can only hope that our theaters are open when Black Widow comes out but I would not bet on it and that would be a shame. Natasha deserves the big screen and I don't want to see it on my TV first.
