Are pins, or falls, less likely in the heavier weight classes?
Editing my own question: Perhaps it is more likely that as wrestlers grow (both physically into higher weight classes and in proficiency) they become less likely to be caught in a pin. Matches are then more likely to be won or lost on points. Just guessing.

This is a difficult question to make a broad generalization on. Anecdotally, in my experience Heavyweight (285 lb) is among the highest propensity for pins because their weight makes it virtually impossible for them to recover once they are taken to their backs. This is not necessarily true for 195 lb or even 220 lb. It would be interesting to see a breakdown of number of pins by weight class. I'm guessing it would be choppy bar-chart rather than a perfect bell curve.
