Do you have any tips for me as a polo owner? I do have a vw polo 1.6 tdi (6r) and my friends told me it wasnt worth removing the muffler because there would be no increase of sound because it is a diesel... Is this true? Or should I make it straightpipe?
Dude, please don't change the exhaust of the polo diesel or any other diesel car(at least its a V6 or similar). If you want to reduce its already less fuel economy and want to make it sound like an old Tata Indica with engine complaint, please do so. Don't get tempted by these dumb mod videos. Also you have some great knowledgeable friends. Don't lose them no matter what.
P.S I don't hate Tata Indica and in fact I learnt to drive in a Indica
Do I need to cut the pipe or is there any connections in between. I could see a single pipe from catalytic converter to the end on the back side. I'm not getting proper idea on how to remove it and clean catalytic converter. I think its the same exhaust in the video.

@@ChandanKumar-mx7jx yeah I believe it ruins the turbo. The turbo functions with air from the engine in some way. I’ll don’t really get it but doing this thing affects the power your turbo delivers.
Your car performance will reduce, turbo diesel engine needs back pressure to operate properly, if you remove the muffler your turbo will lag!
