www.4x4TV.TV first aired in 2001 with coverage of the beginning events in the Extreme Rock Crawling Championships. We still have lots of that classic footage that we will be putting up just to bring a tear to your eyes for the good old days.
www.4x4TV.TV tested many factory four wheel drive vehicles during our early days and you can see the tests we did all categorized on our website.
www.4x4TV.TV projected several amazing vehicles including Elsie, our beloved FJ60 that was my family cruiser and remains in the shop to this day - and until the day they plant me in the ground. We also restored and period projected a very nice FJ40 that ended up in the hands of a friend, "On Bottle Dave." Anyone ever run across Dave Yarington (a rabid cruiser enthusiast - okay 'nut') please have him contact me. We also projected a great old Cherokee named Scofield (named after my friend who bought it new and explored many backroads in it). That Cherokee also still remains in my family, now driven by my son-in-law and most likely soon to be my Grandson's daily driver. Proof that good machines never die.
www.4x4TV.TV also went on some incredible adventures, certainly our favorite thing to do. We traveled a lot of cool trails around southern California as well as the infamous (in the ATV world!) Piute Trail area and of course Moab. What we love most are the scenic trails! You can find them all listed on our website as well.
www.4x4TV.TV had a few trail tips (which I hope to do more of), abad product reviews on both items for your rig as well as to make your trail experience better.
Hope to see you out on the trail. Авто/Мото
I bought this bumper from a friend for a steal. I had it custom fabricated by another friend to fit my 94 4Runner. It looks mean as hell and turns a lot of heads.
look forward to "More of Elsie" - and yes the FZJ80 will be fun also
There will be more - especially since I've seen how cool the White Knuckle slider-steps are ;-)
Glad to see you doing more with the FZJ 80, always like your past projects. I'm looking for one now, with aspiration of doing the Al-Can in the not too distant future.
The 80 series are just such a robust and simple machine. All the older Land Cruisers amaze me with their build quality and ease of repairs when or if needed...
4x4TV I was the proud owner of a 60, I now want a FZJ-80 and have always enjoyed your builds, especially Toy's. We have a local shop (www.torfab.com/Home.aspx) that can set up your vehicle anyway you want for almost any situation. Most of your projects are things the home builder can do so I like that. Looking forward to the next segment.
Chuck Holton Yeap. The whole idea is to get regular people off of the couch and onto the trail. Not expeditions across continents, just some great backcountry adventures!
Nice little site you have.
4x4TV I found TOR while looking for someone to do a diesel conversion, I still want to do that, but they can help me with things bigger than my garage can handle.
Great show! Still looking at the Slee Offroad Short Bus bumper. Will you be at Moab this year?
Thanks. Not sure as I always do my best to stay away from crowds. I enjoys my trails more desolate ;-)
You shouldn't call a video an "install" if you don't actually show the install. This is a product review.
+rtbc I think we did call the video a Product Review.
I think the issue here is that the title also says "install." There's no install here. There isn't a single video on RUclips showing an 80 series ARB install. Seems like there's a market for that and you have an opportunity to make a really informative, really popular video.
The actually installation, as I stated in the video is easy enough that we didn't figure it needed any more explanation that we mentioned and showed with the pictures. Did you watch the video into the second part?
Where is the second part? I haven't been able to find it. It would help if you linked to it either in the video or in the extended info.
I have a 1997 lx 450 . Do you have a ball park figure on what it would cost for the setup you have on the silver one , including a winch like you talked about . . 1 front bumper with bullbar and winch 2. Back bumper like you have . 3 lift kit ? I watch your video on the Old Man emu system ,and you said you put a heavy on the front and medium on the back . You said you might change the back from medium to heavy .Did you change it to heavy in the back ? I want to raise it up just enough to get the next size tire bigger . The load will be for light to medium camping stuff and ranger boat pulling . As far as off road ,nothing crazy just trails to get hunting spots no rock crawling. 4 What size tire and what type of tire do you have I like the way that size looks . 5 I think I would like to move the spare tire and have it on the back bumper that lets it swing out . 6 I like the heavy duty alternator . What size and where can you get one and how much are they ? Do you have a part number for it ? I think I can replace the Alternator my self . I think I can add the front bumper ,bullbar ,winch ,back bumper and spare tire holder on my own but I'm not sure about the lift kit , If someone has never installed a lift kit before and you don't have a lift would you get someone that knows what there doing to install the lift kit ? or is it something you can do in your garage with some floor jacks ? Thanks for your help in advance .
+justliketolook Wow! A lot of questions there. Might be better to email me for this. You can get the address from our website.
Okay thanks
You forgot about those pesky cyclists hogging the road.
