I'm not suprised at all. Zekrom has a catch rate of 45... It took me a couple of tries to catch him with a Quick Ball, but hey I finally did it.

How these kids aren't dead after Reshiram and Zekrom's display of power is beyond logic.

i don't know why people don't see the beauty of gen 5, the story, music, characters, and Pokemon were absolutely amazing, i swear a tear dropped when i saw this scene, Gen 5 will forever be my favorite and god i hope they remake it one day

I played Black version, so for me it would be the other way around
Considering Zekrom, the God and legendary dragon of electricity, was caught by a blue and yellow ball, by a CHILD, Zekrom doesnt fear me, As I know I could Easily Throw A ball at him and become his owner assuming he wont obliterate 50 people in a 9 mile radius of very large thunderbolts capable of making huge dents into earth
More people need to realize that these dragons arent just representations of good and evil, but light and dark. One can't exist without the other. Light doesnt always equal good, darkness doesnt always equal bad. This big, bulky black dragon having an angelic theme may not sound as good as the sleek, white dragon having it, but once you know the deeper meaning behind it, it works just as well, if not better than Black's.
To me they look more like two philosophies: action and reaction, fight and acceptance. They will constantly battle because they cannot go back to a middle ground (Kyurem always looked like a zombie dragon to me)
And this is beautiful. We all are both Zekrom and Reshiram, and even N isn't a total villain at that.

I honestly prefer this version over the other one as it subverts the tropes "dark is evil" and "light is good". Moreover, i think Zekrom is a lot cooler.

zekrom is awesome. the heartbeat noise when it awakens, the generator power up and finally it's roar, just so many goosebumps. i used a premier ball to catch it and i feel like an idiot for buying so many because it literally worked first try after i weakened it lmao
These games were truly a work of art and storytelling. GameFreak made an art project of passion with Gen 5. I miss this era so much, it will always be my favourite generation of Pokémon.

Believe me... I really like Zekrom, but I just don't believe this scene is as good as the one in Black. Zekrom's cry goes much better with the song played with Reshiram's here, and Reshiram's angelic cry resonates way better with the music played when Zekrom awakens. Not hating on either, I just think it was better in Black

It just feels right for N to have reshiram. He's got this angelic lofty well intentioned pokemon of ideals, and you have this simple-designed creature that represents harsh reality.

I just have to say that when Reshiram came flying in and when Zekrom was revived was probably the best graphics and best part of the whole game. So cool.

Gamergutguy Tsah It did. I wish they kept the intensity for *X and Y*. I was a little disappointed. Plus, we should have gotten a *Challenge* and *Easy* mode option available for the newer games. I also felt like the Join Avenue would have been perfect for _Gen VI_ games but, obviously, Game Freak felt differently. I hate when they add cool features in one generation only to remove them in the next.
I miss this game, this was my childhood. This in my opinion was the last true Pokémon game

Zekrom will always go down as on of my favourites.... Next to Lugia... I loved the back story the the gen 5 legendarys.... I love how just before Zekroms eyes open you hear it's heart beat.... Such a great game it's a shame gen 6 was such a flop.
Gen 6th is an amazing Pokemon game, it was great in every aspect. I do not see at all how it is a "flop" in any way. It offers new features, new mechanics, and a whole new world to explore with a huge graphical design update that made many, and I mean MANY people come back into the franchise of Pokemon. Only thing I say that gen 6 "flopped" on was the postgame. Because the postgame lacked so much content, there's almost nothing to do other than the Looker missions, which even then, is not enough to support the game itself after you beat the Pokemon League. Only thing that kept me going so far in X/Y was the online features, which are superior to gen 5 games. Even though gen 6 lacked postgame content, there are so many mysteries shrouding around X/Y, that it's leading people to believe that there will be DLC to make up for the postgame, DLC such as a new region for you to explore within X/Y, since there are many hints of there being another region that isn't Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, and Kalos. People are speculating it's a generation 7 game, but that wouldn't make TOO much sense, I'm speculating that it's an addition to gen 6, sort of like a second half of it, since gen 6 only brought around 60 new Pokemon, and 3 legendary Pokemon which weren't even announced yet. Anyways, my point being is that it was FAR from being such a "flop".
Black and White were a much bigger flop and left almost zero impression on me. I've forgotten more Pokemon from these games than any others. They simply weren't memorable. Also, Kyurem is much better than Reshiram or Zekrom.

I used 2 quick balls, that didn't work, I got it to red HP, used 8 ultra balls, 16 great balls, and I caught it with a fucking heal ball. WAT
The Mr. Otaku Show caught him with a regular pokeball last minute

True that ZEKROM is the boss and reshiram is a white stupid chicken
it stays alive and telepathically tells you to catch and then you can try again.
N is not a kid hes a fully grown adult
But Alex, Maria, Cheren and Bianca are teenagers.
For me personally Reshiram felt more suitable for N than MC because Reshiram is a pokemon willing to work with those who seek truth and N feels the same way as finding what makes both Trainers and Pokemon have a strong bond
I remember watching this when it came out just dreaming about having zekrom in my collection. Warched it over and over until i sat down and didnt stop playing until i got it. Coming back to this video just bringd back so many memories of the game

this is one of the most epic scenes in any pokemon game in my opinion, B/W had a real great story line, i love the fact how this game involves both legendaries and you have a battle between both legends, only thing that disappointed me was how easy they were to catch :/ i miss raging at my game out of frustration

Emily Buccella Yeah, a friend had to explain it to me too because I thought it was crazy and it made sense when she brought it to my attention. I liked the _Gen V_ games because you actually had a _real_ explanation as to why you couldn't catch both in-game and why only one was available in the sequels. Even the Kalos region only mentioned one Legendary Pokemon mascot to keep it simple. I didn't like that the Hoenn (excluding *Emerald*) and Sinnoh (excluding *Platinum*) mention two Legendary Pokemon at war but yet you had no explanation as to why the other never appeared. Just silly.
I haven't played gen five but when I watched a play through of black I saw reshiram then I was just confused, now I know to get pokemon white thanks

Well I think they made it more catchable so your not stuck there for hours considering you HAVE to catch it. Not to mention story wise, zekrom is supposed to want to join u to stop reshiram
I love how you caught it with a quick ball. Epic cutscene, epic music, epic intro - NOPE, quick ball. It's like those CoD players (trust me, I will never compare Pokemon to CoD again) who show off their epic tomahawks, this guy shows off his epic catching skills.
@zeratul1356 Naw--basically though. He was at ~3/4 health when I caught him. I kinda regret using the Timer Ball... stupid clock animation appears everytime I send out Zekrom... -.-
