Owane all day
bro knows
Jakub latest release is incredible
Jack & Owane, an unexpected rabbit hole i´ve fallen into...
Just came back from Madrid , saw them live supporting Plini, what an experience, amazing bands, and great talent, I loved Jack gardiner, also great guy!
I've been listening to Plini for almost 10 years, Owane for about 6 years, and Jack since I first heard SkyBluePink with Owane, and I was super stoked that Owane and Jack (and Dzik) finally decided to take their music on the road. Now I'm just hoping they come to the states ASAP, but I've enjoyed watching their IG videos from their shows and the few YT videos I've seen. I've missed two opportunities to see Plini here as well. One was an Animals as Leaders show in a tiny venue in Kansas City in 2016 that sold out before I could get tickets, and the second was a tour he did with Mestis (Javier from AAL's solo project) which I ultimately turned down because The Acacia Strain and Knocked Loose were playing the same night in another nearby city.
Plini's EU tour was sick, they all killed it. Jakub and Owane/Jack were great as support acts
indeed, it was awesome!
Yeah that EU tour was so damn great, the only thing that bothered me a bit was that Jack Gardiner was playing so much louder than the rest, I had basically switch the ear protection just for him.
It was a bit odd of an odd choice.
Just saw them live in Lisbon, Jackub, Jack Gardiner e Owane, and Plini. What a show, wonderfull new memories.
Sick! You've got to check out Stephen Taranto! His EP Permanence is absolutely wild.
Yo, stephen is wild , but he should let his music breathe from time to time.
Sonic WD40. Very nicely put.
Owane and Gardiner are such a lovely duo, and Zytecki is truly inspirung and has come into a very original sound with his latest heavy-lofi type of songs. Also how could anyone not love his bubbly sparkling guitar style?!
Time for some Corrosion of Conformity? 😂 Seriously though, you should check these guys out. Trailblazing band that crossed Sabbath with Skynyrd. They’re like a southern metallica. Personally I think you’d find songs from their In the Arms of God album the most interesting since funk jazz drummer Stanton Moore sits in for the sessions and gives the music a wild swing totally unfamiliar in metal records. From this album I’d check out Never Turns to More. From previous albums I’d check out Senor Limpio, Seven Days, and Man or Ash. This last one features uncredited vocals from James Hetfield. 🤘
WAX WINGSSSS
Would love to see a reaction to "Crimson 2" from Edge of Sanity! But since you won't do a video about a 40 minute song I still would recommend to check this out privately. 40 minutes of epicness without one boring part!
As for a real reaction check out "Liam" by In Extremo. Sickest bagpipe action!
Owane has amazing feel on guitar - check out Born in Space
Interesting observation on this video, Geebz - The first song featured Jakub, the second song was Jakub, and the third song features the guy who played drums in Disperse, Jakubs band.
You’re a legend for reacting to this.
I love how the melody always takes a couple bar key change outside of everything else and then comes back.
Gonna be listening to these a lot now, thanks dude
I also never would have heard of these guys if you hadn't started your channel. Thank you, Geebz!
you gotta check out this album from a band called Eigengrau, 'Radiant'. i believe they have a video for the song 'Nuuretarik'. you won't hear shredding, but you will hear excellent composition and engineering. please give it a listen, i promise you will love it. think atmospheric TesseracT, but no vocals and lots of E-bow. to me the album is a masterpiece, but i'll let you decide.
along the instrumental realm…. try INTRONAUT, NIGHT VERSES, CLOUDKICKER. if that’s too vague i’ll send you specifics, but you can’t go wrong picking anything. that’s the beauty 😊
Cloudkicker's Let Yourself Be Huge and Fade are the shit.
I really like the BEACONS album.
@@johnladd8421 Oh yeah that one is awesome too for sure!
Check out Revocation. Dismantle the Dictator and/or Diabolical Majesty. The things Dave Davidson can do on guitar while singing are insane
I love how foreigners butcher Polish names :) Great video.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO HEILUNG TRAUST!!!
Oooww, what a treat! I've been waiting for many months for a new reaction to Jakub or Owane and here are both of them and more! I was absolutely sure they're right on your alley, so I have to thank your patreon for making his way through to you with these great picks. Jack & Owane's song, Never Forever Together, reminded me of another mind boggling collab between Richie Kotzen and Greg Howe, because it has some small similarities with their song, Contusion (from "Tilt" album). I'm still hoping to see you one day reacting to these guitar gods before their amazing work gets completely forgotten.
Just started listening, getting some serious skyharbor/tesseract vibes. These tracks are just begging for a vocal melody!!
It really feels like they left space for that.
I always feel the same and often vocalise my own lil melodies while listening. Modern (instrumental) prog focusses a lot on creating space and dynamics, and often focus more on melody than the shred/technical aspect.
I think that's why I have come to really vibe with modern instrumental prog, it's not filled to the brim with chaos or proggy sections like how classical prog often would fill up their songs
Oh man I'm late to this one. Sorry Geebz. I really loved the first track. It's totally awesome. Loved everything
Hey Geebz! I always look forward to watching your videos. Hope you and your family are well 🖤
Loving the content, Fleshgod apocalypse - in aeternum is an epic song would love to hear your opinion on that 🤘🤘🤘
Owane is in Norway, which I think is where the awesome beach and cabin videos were shot. If I ever get a chance to visit Europe, Norway is at the top of my list.
Also, agree that this release feels like more Owane than Jack. If you listen to Jack's solo release, the first one they collaborated on sounds more like Jack and this feels more like "Yeah Whatever" and "YOLO EP". He always has funny album names too.
Not sure if they ever come up but, a personal old favorite of mine is Walk With Me by The Tea Party
Long time Follower... Drastic or not depending on style. I think more people need to be reviewing Dallas Green. Either in AlexisonFire or his more mellow City & Color. Does not matter which version. Legend has it Dallas has never missed a note... haha
I’ll have to check the rest later, but man that first song was a good one. Thanks for this reaction, Geebz. Only familiar with Owane from these artists, but I’m looking forward to checking the rest out!
Also finally checked out your Retro Mullet mix yesterday. Lots of awesome stuff there, Geebz - really impressive.
Finally finished it up. All great tracks, love all the fusion elements. First song ended up my favorite of the batch, but I’d happily listen to them all. Great selections.
SNARE
Can we do a Dance Gavin Dance or an Underoath slow burn please?
please baroness - tourniquet
I heard "Message From Atlantis" by Jakub Zytecki some 10 or 12 years ago and have been a fan ever since. His 'Feather Bed' and 'Ladder Head' double-EP are among my all-time favorite releases. Would make for a great slow burn!
Geebz: I have a Blue Yeti Nano USB microphone that I don't/won't use. Could I donate it to the channel? I'd be happy to ship it to a P.O. Box or something.
Indukti - Ninth Wave
You should do a decomposition of the album Melting Sun by Lantlos
You should do react to a track from Romantic Warrior :)
omg my grammar LMAO
It's supposed I had to go exactly today to see them but I've got a back injury...
thatt outro reminds me of someone else???? monuments ? i think Fellsilent or more likely Tesseract
Hey there) Can i ask about reaction on Red Handed Denial - "Father Said"?)
Please do Animal Collecetive
listen to some sonata arctica old songs
Hi Geebz, I didn’t really like the first track. I think it was the mix, the drums sounded wrong to me. Maybe too much compression? The second track was awesome. The third one was good, not really my jam. Maybe over compressed drums? The bass was super phat. There is a band called Shiner a saw back in the 90s and I was so disappointed their first album didn’t sound like the live show. Maybe this is the same.😊
You got to check out Sadist band. Sadist - I feel your climb.
Did you see the new Dimash video?
Across Endless Dimensions
ruclips.net/video/9efIWFhD8a4/видео.html
This is my least listened song in this album, every other track in this album is im my playlist except for this one. But its just my opinion.
love all of these artists, sick picks
