Gramma Joy, the oldest woman to have ever visited every national park (now aged 93) was the Less-Than-Grand Marshall, who was among other interesting discoveries I made while in attendance by actually talking to the people in the parade instead of just taking their picture and making up a story about them.
Every entry has a spokesperson who is ready to tell you exactly what they represent and why they are marching.
But I guess you can't expect actual news outlets to find out who people are and what they do before reporting on them with absolutely no information.
But, whatever, it's JUST the most important American holiday and Columbus's official parade for it. So, who cares?
Certainly not the news.
For actual journalism about it, I'll be uploading my own video as soon as I can get more footage of the whole parade.
I was marching in it so I didn't actually get to watch it.
