She was great but there were no tears and he was just losing his voice, he lost it completely before that day's auditions were over and Sofia had to translate what he could only whisper to her, but she took full advantage of that and had fun making up stuff that he didn't really say.

Sincere? She's an obvious industry plant and the producers/show runners are in on at. All of these shows are run like this. It's not an actual "contest". The winners and finalist performers are chosen months in advance; before the first "audition".

What a beautiful, adorable little girl. Not little in age, but in her honest emotions, her enthusiasm, her spontaneity, her sheer enjoyment of the moment. She is just totally unaffected. I love the spontaneous glimpses into her happy soul - her feelings about her ex, her eyes widening when she first heard the cheers from the audience, her disbelief at the applause, and of course, her joyous sprint as she exited the stage. On top of that she owns a glorious voice. I thoroughly enjoyed watching her from start to finish.
Absolutely breathtaking. She added more emotion to this song than I thought possible. Flawless.
This is one of my favorite auditions in a long time. This young lady is humble, talented, beautiful and a breath of fresh air. I don't like comparisons, but she does have Rhianna and Adele vibes there. After Simon spoke to her at the end, it made me cry. Simon has mellowed so much over the years, and I'm here for it! Great panel of judges. Terry Crews is the absolute BEST host. He brings it to another level and you can see the joy radiating from him. Love this show!!

What's funny is that I've been following Summer on INSTAGRAM since 2018 and someone BIG [did] give her a chance--it just failed due to them not being able to curate a proper image/sound for her and due to bad songwriting (she's not much of a songwriter herself, so they hired a team to pen for her). I remember Summer went viral on INSTAGRAM back in 2018 at 14 singing 'River' by Bishopp Briggs. I always wondered what happened to her since she signed to Scooter Braun (Justin Bieber's & Ariana Grande's manager) right after the viral fame and released 2 songs, which just kinda fizzled out. Glad she's still trying for it, but it makes me wonder how the hell Scooter dropped the ball with her yet managed to make Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande...and even to some extent Madison Beer relevant.

Gotta love this young lady. She's so cute, has a terrific voice, a wonderfully engaging and sparkling personality, is apparently a very hard-working and very responsible young adult, and likely isn't even aware of how great she sings. She has excellent pitch/intonation, dynamics, phrasing, articulation, and a very nice vibrato. She can go all the way and I hope she wins!

I’ve been following Summer’s singing videos for years. And I am so happy she is going to get more recognition she deserves
When she sings "The grass trees and dew, how I just hate you" you can feel the raw power and heartfelt emotion she's facing. Fuckin phenomenal. Only negative thing I have to say is she left me hanging for more of that high end power vocals. Absolutely beautiful.

[IF] the person is top-notch talented AND they have a sob story then I don't mind. But it they are mediocre and using the sob story as a cheap weapon to get pushed through the competition, then that's complete BS and unfair to the contestants that are truly more talented and fairly outperforming them by miles.

Oh, don't take this away from her. She'll do fine in any medium. Broadway has everything to offer from thrillers to musicals to drama to comedy! Starting there will give her a great foundation and her voice truly is versatile. That sultriness peeks through, barely hinting before exploding into her unique style.
She'd do great even in Cinema. All she needs is that big break, and a bit of faith. Also, a musical with her name on it.
And, she doesn't sound like anyone else but herself. Imitators are everywhere, and it's hard not to follow those styles. But, you take Billy Holliday, Celene Dion, Aretha Franklin, and Julie Andrews, and put them together on stage singing together and you will hear each one's distinctive voice shinning through! This young woman has that.😌 So, with all do respect, don't take this away from her.
I too have to follow my own unique writing voice, steering clear of my favorite writers's voices and classes that teach you how to write like them. I have my own voice, and hope someday to have fans that enjoy that voice.
