My choir lost our choir teacher in March earlier this year. She was more than just a teacher; our mentor and more importantly our friend. We were all so close with her. She was 36: she died unexpectedly on St. Patricks Day. We sang this song at our spring concert in honor and memory of her and all of the amazing things she has done in our lives. We miss you dearly, Miss Owens. You will never be forgotten. Rest in peace.
Having Elphie sing a higher pitch and Glinda a lower pitch, it shows how they've influenced each other seeing as usually it's the other way around. Details like this make me cry whyyy
Me clicking on the song: I'm fine. I'm okay. I'm not crying. After having listened to it: I'm not crying. Not crying. My eyes are just sweating. **Sob**
It reminds me of experieces studying abroad in New York last year! I watched this musical,"Wicked", many time when I stayed there. I was always crying by listening to this song because such a song encourages me a lot!
Your student body actually have good taste in music. My class song this year is Stole The Show by KYGO or something like that.... We need your school's brains.
Same with my class at my middle school graduation. A bunch of the kids in my grade were with me in chorus, and they had us learn this song for every concert. We decided it was perfect song for graduation.
yep i cry too, cuz my "boyfriend" at the time told me to look this up, saying he thought that would be us, and i cried happy tears when i finally did, and i was in front of my brother, too. he was so confused. so now i always think of that guy and i cry every time. we used to talk about getting married when i was a freshman and he was a junior, now i am a junior and i still miss him from time to time. we were together for two years. it sounds pathetic but oh well
This was my best friend and I’s song since we were 13. We don’t talk anymore:( But she changed me for good and I’ll forever be cheering her on from the side lines❤️
I've been thinking about putting some of the words of the song in my graduation day speech in three years sounds great right for the last comment about the teacher I feel bad about that I'll be praying for you guys
3 years ago I moved school and it was the best thing that ever happened to me! I found a friend on my first day and she’s been my best friend ever since. Soon I’ll be going to High School and she is going to a completely different school. We might never see each other again so on our last day we’ll sing this together. 💚🖤
+Miriam Lamoreaux it's hard but u can get through it remember they will always be with you even if you can't see them after all because you knew them you have been changed for good
+Miriam Lamoreaux I know the feeling. Come next September, I'll be at my fifth school in five years but I just keep on remembering that I need to move on. I've recently been coming to terms that one of my closest and oldest friend might not want to continue the long-term relationship but you need to remember that there's always light at the end of the tunnel. In four years, I'll be able to live on my own and I will. And yes, it's cool moving a lot, getting to see the world and having lots of opportunities and yada but you don't have to do this forever. Keep holding on until you're of age :)
This reminds me of my relationship with my section leader, her name is Caitlyn and she's graduating from high school next year. Caitlyn is practically a mother figure to me.

Marta Macedo I was just thinking that!

This song makes me happy when I'm crying but cry when I'm happy

What?! One person has disliked this? We shall hunt them down, for the wicked must be punished!
Now it is 7... *what are people doing with their lives*
Omg it's 12
the people who disliked must be empty-head munchkins
It's 19 now
yes
This makes me think of one of my best friends, who moved across the country a few months ago...

Ours too!! The choir sang this in the beginning but we walked out as graduands to the Star Wars theme song... :P
Lisa Boedt Do you mean the theme or the Imperial March? Because the Imperial March would have been PERFECT.
This song is so beautiful!!!!

This song always makes me cry. It makes me think of all the relationships that have failed in my life and how each one has made me stronger

Singing this in my school play, so happy even though I didn't get a solo
The music department are performing this for our 2 teachers leaving this year. They have no idea that we are putting on a show ❤️💚
Lowri Zeraschi, Would love to hear the end result afterwards! How they reacted, how everybody felt etc. Good luck!

19 people hate the song hunt em down ladies and gentlemen hunt em down they shall be punished repeat they shall be punished
They must have been depressing creatures with unprepossessing features.
No one mourns the wicked
I cry every time I hear this because I'm switching schools. And I won't see my friends again! :(
