And now Idina is getting a lot more attention because of FROZEN as the voice of ELSA!!!! Her performance in that movie has been considered her best since Wicked!!
It’s soo 2000s, but these days she would probably get blasted for “cultural appropriation” 😂 the 2000s were such a simpler time! I wish we could go back to that era
Think about it. Menzel has to say "it's not her! She has nothing to do with it! It's me you want! It's meeeeeeeeeeeee" while she's being strapped into a harness or something.
Yep. That's why they were able to be Galinda (Glinda the Good) and Elphie (the not-so Wicked Witch of the West), who are bezzies/lovers who are polar opposites.
Have you not seen the footage from Cheno's last show..? I mean, yes "they're actors" but if they really didn't like eachother... I don't think that Idina would have been crying the way she did and I don't think they would have embraced each other the way they did.
@LittleMissMe2006 I read somewhere - I think it was in Kristin's book - that during a Wicked rehearsal once she dipped Idina and full on kissed her! Lol. Or Idina dipped her ... but yes it happened. She said the whole cast and crew were in stitches and Idina said "And I enjoyed it!" Lol.
Those two are so sweet together....they sre clearly best friends and inseperable....and trust me it is great to a have a friendship like that....WICKED IS THE BEST MUSICAL OF ALL TIME!!!!
omg, i am a huge kristin fan, and I actually LOVE her hair. She looks beautiful. At first I was like Oh my god, what happened there, but she actually looks stunning and very bold. i like that she tried something new and in my opinion made it work for her.
Why are people so invested in wagering how much two people do or don't like each other? They obviously respect one another and also realize that their mutual success depended a fair amount on the other. It's amazing that just because they're not joined at the hip every single time they're seen in public, people with little better to do in their daily lives like to concoct some phantom feud to self-justify their meager existence.
okay so is it just me or at 7:49 or 50 do you hear someone say "give it to her"? i keep replaying it over and over but yea anyways i love 'em both. lol
Ding Dong, the Witch is Not Dead in this case. XD Proper respect to Maggie Hamilton & Billie Burke who set the stage for them. Also respect to Matilda Joslyn Gage, L. Frank Baum's suffragist mother-in-law who inspired the creation of all of Baum's witches in the source book that started it all. Tattypoo the Good Witch of the North & Glinda the Good Witch of the South were condensed into Glinda the Good Witch of the North for the MGM film & the various adaptations, Wicked included. Idina Menzel is Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West (thanks to Margaret Hamilton's character work from the MGM film & her attempts to make the Wicked Witch likable in outside projects like her appearance on Sesame Street [sadly banned], Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood, and Paul Lynde's Halloween Spooktacular, also featuring Witchypoo from Sid & Marty Kroftt's H.R. Puff-n-stuff). In Wicked, Elphie's crippled holier-than-thou sister is Nessarose, the Wicked Witch of the East.
i think making it a movie would be wonderful! seeing something as amazing as wicked in a movie mould make people want to see it more live because its just that muhc better, Cats and rent were both like that.
@ThexImperfectionist Cool. Its a really good book! Forewarning there's not much Idina/Kristin action though. I was looking for it too but overall Kristin's life is very interesting and the book is very funny just like Kristin. Lol
@Puddin1985 Kristin talked about it in her book. I think it happened because they were stalling. Something happened with the lights or set or something, so one of them dipped the other and they were all rolling.
@Sydride98 Durring the run he got a back injoury (idk how) and i believe had to get surgery or something and had to leave for a coupple of weeks but was back on in like 2-4 weeks. (Thank god because taye is good and all but is NOT a Fiyero not like NLB
The 80's called, Kristin, and they want their hair back. LOL Oh what the heque... I'll take that woman any way she comes. I love, love, LOVES me the Chenoweth. *WUB*
@margarita141414 Maybe they do and maybe they don't. But do you really think actors are always themselves and honest in these interviews? They say and do what they have to do for the good of their careers. These two are professionals. If they hated each other, do you really think they would sit there sullen-faced and publicly express their dislike for one another? No, they would behave just as they did in this video and keep their personal feelings separate from their work.
@Jen2261 perfect. it's being shipped to me as I type. Amazon taking it's time as always unfortunately. I was hoping for some Idina/Kristin Wicked juiciness.
yeah, but they probably changed the story so it was more to-the-point and appealing. not just that, but it showed the characters' depth without having to explain everything that was in the book. thats just what i think
I'm just saying wait till it closes, all the musical that have released movies have gone way way way down in sales (Footloose, Grease, Mamma Mia....etc)
You can really tell that they have such a bond together, they have really connected during their performances. i LOVE wicked!
This old ass comment omg
And now Idina is getting a lot more attention because of FROZEN as the voice of ELSA!!!! Her performance in that movie has been considered her best since Wicked!!

Think about it. Menzel has to say "it's not her! She has nothing to do with it! It's me you want! It's meeeeeeeeeeeee" while she's being strapped into a harness or something.
"Oh, there goes the cows, just like I've seen!" LOL. I love Kristin.
i love how theyre both wearing their characters' colors, i wonder if that was planned??
They are very close friends, they admit they are very different but they are close friends. They've always liked each other
Yep. That's why they were able to be Galinda (Glinda the Good) and Elphie (the not-so Wicked Witch of the West), who are bezzies/lovers who are polar opposites.

I think disney is gonna make the movie of wicked because they made oz the great and powerful and return to oz an older story about Dorothy
No. Wicked's owned by 3rd party Universal. The MGM film is owned by Warner Bros.

Idina looks so different! Her lips look so much bigger than what they are :P
@ThexImperfectionist Kristin wrote about it in her autobiography 'A Little Bit Wicked.'

I think Idina and Kristin are like a real life Elphie and Glinda. =P
Does anyone else think that Idina kind of looks like Kim Kardashian in this video? lol
+Jake Gadomski Perhaps a little bit! buti personally think Idina is 100% prettier and more genuine that KK. no offence meant though...

@Puddin1985 Kristin talked about it in her book. I think it happened because they were stalling. Something happened with the lights or set or something, so one of them dipped the other and they were all rolling.
@clkrebel there was a tense atmosphere for whatever reason and Kristin dipped Idina to break up the tension

what does idina say at 10:29..??? something about her throat?? and taye??
she said that she’s not worried about kristin sticking her tongue down tayes throat, but that “she might stick her tongue down my throat” lol
Wow. I love Kristin Chenoweth, but I have to say... Kristin, the 90's called and it wants its hair back...
i read in the book and in son of a witch that fiyero was black with blue diamonds tattooed all over him.
Yep. He was a literal "diamond stud", as it were. Gelphie was also semi-canon, as Galinda & Elphie are BI.
Not interested in seeing the movie at all but I want to see the stage play so badly
Stage Play tickets cost more than the movie.. you are weird..
