Love the way you look at music mate...you experiment with everything and you even want to share knowledge with people something that not many do these days...A true artist that really loves music....keep it up man
I don't understand how you did this, but O M F G you managed to capture emotions in this track.. en the kicks whoaah. And yes, you are the only one. My electronic music hero. Thanks for these videos. Love it. ☺
Dude, please these challenge songs into an album of sorts. The first 2 installments of this series produced such epic songs I can only imagine what making them an album track could provide you in terms of (even more) inspiration and drive.
When you feel it is the right time you could relase these tracks in a compilation/Album called "Self challange" or something CAUSE KIDS LIKE ME WANNA SPIN YOUR SHIT!
Suena nuevo y ala vez con la esencia del hardcore de siempre!! No como lo que hay hoy en día! Gracias ophidian por gente como tu hace que no deje de escuchar el estilo!!!
wow, its amazing! i just could tell at some few party that its monophonic, one could have thought its just the style to make this kicks breaks for the melody to make the song rougher
I'm 34 now. I wanted to produce hardcore since I was 17. But I was only able to realize this dream financially about 3 years ago. and now I realize that I have to be 134 years old to reach your class. you are a fucking genius. the best producer out there. please never stop.
Whoa! That makes me remember the era of 80’s beepers, there whas a trick that you can make the brain ilusion of hearing 3 or more voices with a single voice, that was so tricky! Haha, congrats!
Really liking those challenge songs this far. Liking the diversity they have, probably because you want to try to see just what you can do within the limits you set yourself. Definitely going to look forward to the next ones!
A shame this video "only" hast 14k views and a shame that I only discovered it now. If u read this, Ophidian, please do more of these challenges and feel free to do futher AMA's on reddit (helps you get the range you deserve). If your schedule allows so of course. Keep up the good work!
Ophidian, you are the biggest one. I'm waiting for the new album and i expected at least one track with a violin, some piano, an electric guitar solo, a sax interlude and a flute melody. And obviously hardcore techno sounds. Greetings from Rome!
This is an amazing track considering what limitations you faced from the challenge. Also I love the new element of combining animations with the music. You are one of the most geniusly creative producers I have heard.
I agree with you there..... lmao, Ophidian you've got some edgelords as fans, this is the second time I've given some harmless and innocent comment on your video and some random person will come in and give me some sort of biased retort.... oh well thanks for the attention I guess
I am curious as to what this track's potential would be in a mix. Would you use it? If so, in which kind of situations do you think it would be better to use?
The best track I Ever heard. Thanks you so much for being my god of music. No one can reach you. Can you continue this style of sound? I really appreciate it, i'ts very intersting. Thank you so much for all tour work.
The first real bass kick at 8:24 did not transition to smoothly, but none the less it came out as a good track with all the limitations you put on yourself, can't wait for challenge number 3!
I got a challenge for you. My friend and I were messing around and discussing how some genres would be able to exchange some of their sound for samples of sounds made by heavy machinery from a hardwarestore. My challenge for you would be to do just that, make a track with only sounds from hardwarestore machinery. I'm absolutely positive you can make something awesome out of it, like you do with everything you touch.
Sounds like a legendary Lenny Dee remix by yourself that melody anyway. Forgotten moments remix by meander and Venetian snares if I had to guess if we knew nothing about it beforehand
Awesome!!
peacock 😝💣🤘
A new Genre was born on this day "Monocore" it shall be called!
Made my day 😂
I really like these series. We live in amazing times, where you can watch your favourite musician do youtube videos :)
Nice CGP-Grey shirt!
I really like how you challenge yourself. The song actually sounds really cool. Can't wait for the release.
I love these challenges.
It brings the best out of you.
You sir are the most professional producer out there.
Love the way you look at music mate...you experiment with everything and you even want to share knowledge with people something that not many do these days...A true artist that really loves music....keep it up man

This is clearly a result of great ingeniousness ❤️

That would be a must buy! End of the year album release sounds good to me =D
The vocal sample you used was quite fitting to the challenge, love how the track turned out, very interesting.
Maaaaaaan that first kick is mindblowing, i would love to hear this track live!!
respect! Keep challenging yourself. Keep improving. "Conformity has a ceiling your potential does not."
King of the Core!! Awesome!
Renoise looks pretty cool. Gives the old Fast- / impulsetracker feeling :)
This series made me appreciate you as a producer 10x more then I already was, keep it up
When you can create such atmosphere with just one track you truly are a musical genius.
all this years and when i am asked who is the best producer/dj Ophidian is the only answer without hesitateing. love u
The lyrics were perfect for this track :D
this is amazing, honestly expected a lot worse *for just one track* but oh my god
This is what i denominate ART. Respect
Perfect.
These challenges are so refreshing.
When you feel it is the right time you could relase these tracks in a compilation/Album called "Self challange" or something CAUSE KIDS LIKE ME WANNA SPIN YOUR SHIT!

If there is a god it has to be this guy!
With his T-shirt, we can already guess he tries to become one ;)
I am amazed that, with restrictions this severe, you got anything out of it. Awesome!
wow, its amazing! i just could tell at some few party that its monophonic, one could have thought its just the style to make this kicks breaks for the melody to make the song rougher
jesus, that kick at 10:23 is nice, you could make raw with those :D
Fantastic challenge! Love the track, it really sounds like something you might do without the limitations haha

This track needs to be released (and not just in one channel version!)
Really liking those challenge songs this far. Liking the diversity they have, probably because you want to try to see just what you can do within the limits you set yourself. Definitely going to look forward to the next ones!
Just bought the E.P on bandcamp......you're completely on another level Conrad.
You just evolved harder stylez to the next level..
A shame this video "only" hast 14k views and a shame that I only discovered it now. If u read this, Ophidian, please do more of these challenges and feel free to do futher AMA's on reddit (helps you get the range you deserve). If your schedule allows so of course. Keep up the good work!
Absolutely GORGEOUS, nice job man!!!
Wish i was this talented !
that turned into a really nice track. love the rawness and the vocals.
bro you're the fucking king, that song is fucking amazing
Ophidian, you are the biggest one. I'm waiting for the new album and i expected at least one track with a violin, some piano, an electric guitar solo, a sax interlude and a flute melody. And obviously hardcore techno sounds. Greetings from Rome!
Dude, I wasn't expecting a decent song coming out of it, but it was actually a pretty nice one. Damn.
one of my all time favourite songs!! :D
You mix distortion and and all these beautiful melodies it makes me cry with joy of emotions
Nice, love the approach and the result!
This is an amazing track considering what limitations you faced from the challenge. Also I love the new element of combining animations with the music. You are one of the most geniusly creative producers I have heard.
Ian Coxen I thought the track was amazing. It's not just good for the limitations; it's also a very good track
I agree with you there.....
lmao, Ophidian you've got some edgelords as fans, this is the second time I've given some harmless and innocent comment on your video and some random person will come in and give me some sort of biased retort.... oh well thanks for the attention I guess
Ian Coxen How dare you!? 😉
William Syndrome I dared to dare... ;P
@@somrune How dare you do that?!
So many genre possibilities with this track I think, nice work Ophidian
Jij bent en blijft gewoon mijn legende super man dat je nog zo experimenteel bent
IMO the song under the "so dry..." part of the video is still better most of the nowdays' pop hits... LOL! Amazing track, as always!
this stuff is amazing....
ok, now i know how anticlimax versions are made, ty ophidian. insane work dude.....
even with these many restrictions you make such phat banger tracks, love it 😍. Wish i could take live lessons from you in producing 🥰
Can we give suggestions for challenges? I'd like to hear a hardcore track made in 6/8 or 3/4 tempo, or even 7/8 or 5/8
Teo Cherici this
Try some void settler tracks
7/4 is really fun to produce in
Check his Meander alias :)
This is so awesome! The creativity / the concept to drag the viewer in your mindset of the challenge is very well done. Keep it up!
Excellent work ophidian. Loving this challenge series keep it up
Nice throwback to the single-voice sound chips from way back, like in the Commodore PET.
And again.... awesome. Need to hear that live 😁
Ik denk als je jou een steelpan en een scheetkussen zou geven maak je er nog een hardcore track mee. Toffe track dit!
Remco Peters Bonus challenge ftw
This is really good, it actually makes it highly dynamic somehow. Props to you
I am curious as to what this track's potential would be in a mix. Would you use it? If so, in which kind of situations do you think it would be better to use?
Man I've loved your sound for so many years now. You're the definition of an artist.
Thank you very much.
You look like ordinary person, but create music like a God😌
The best track I Ever heard. Thanks you so much for being my god of music. No one can reach you. Can you continue this style of sound? I really appreciate it, i'ts very intersting. Thank you so much for all tour work.
Nice one! I used fast tracker back in the days during the 90's. Great track, regards!
Amazing, as always. New form of breakcore 🤣
Epic once again! Goed bezig man!
Mooi ☺️👏🏻
SMASHINGLY BRILLIANT, BRAVO!
This is crazy!!🔥🔥
way better than these days hardtunes top 10, and by the way it sounds kinda like mid-2000's, so it's really great!
You did an awesome track, with an awesome challenge!
Amazing! Great stuff! :)
Reminds me a little bit of the old tracker days where you also needed to be creative
Sick! Look the track under those restraints. Graphics were also very fitting as well!
Mad sequence! thanks to relase
The first real bass kick at 8:24 did not transition to smoothly, but none the less it came out as a good track with all the limitations you put on yourself, can't wait for challenge number 3!
Love this tune!
This guy just ended Chords' career.
how about that challenge? doing a complete Industrial track only based upon one vocal.
Nano Aura yo wtf this is sick
Gentlemen! This is some spooky shit we got here!
mind... Blown! (it's like a different kind of drug)
Has some very artsy feel to it. I'm pretty shure if you rework it without the limitation, this will be a top notch mainstyle banger.
10/10 like always from the master
looking forward to more challenges. (keep using renoise, trackers 4life ;P )
This track is so amazing! Great job!
Masterpiece 😫
Alsjeblieft speel deze op Ground Zero
You are exreamly talented
legend
this is great
My vote for Dj mag 2018 is for OPHIDIAN!!!
This is sick man!! You should releases soon TOP
Sounds like a legendary Lenny Dee remix by yourself that melody anyway.
Forgotten moments remix by meander and Venetian snares if I had to guess if we knew nothing about it beforehand
