This is awesome. I love your approach to the wiring rather than to route all the way inside the engine compartment. I'm gonna have to work w my factory uconnect radio and figure this out. Thank you.
Thank you! And yes I love keeping all the wiring inside the cabin unless it's a bigger Guage wire, glad you found my video useful! Thanks for watching 🤙👌
Dude. Thank you for the video. You saved me so much time installing this on my 2017 jeep. Well done.
Hey thanks! Glad you found it useful, did you get a wolfbox mirror?
I was feeling pretty confident until 6:20. Paying someone to do mine. Thankyou.
You can also use the cigarette lighter power cable for a very simple install, I use that for my dash cam in my bmw
I just installed mine on my JT.
I'm using the cigarette lighter.
I'm not connecting any cables to any part of the Jeep. Only using it while driving and don't need it for parking, although I can see perfectly while backing up. I didn't want to touch any wires on the Jeep.
It works great. My camera is up on my rack just under my rooftop tent. I love it. And best part. I'm not worried about messing with electrical stuff.
That is nice. That's why its great you have the options for only using the cigarette lighter. But yes it definitely helps backing up 😃
Crazy. Just bought that for my Jeep TJ. Can't wait to install.
did you buy the ultimate kit with all the other brackets or just the basic setup?
@@DumbCarGuy your gonna love it! And I just bought the basic kit with the install harness. I had to buy the bracket from Amazon because they didn't have it available when I got my g900
@@jku392adventures I bought the basic kit too. What bracket did you buy? maybe i need it too and should buy it asap. Something for the rear view?
@@DumbCarGuy it was a bracket to delete the stock rear view mirror and hard mount the dash cam mirror to the windshield. Definitely a nice upgrade. They sell it on their website 🤙🤙
Great video. Can you please explain how you did the wiring for the reverse light with the white wire. Did you add the blue piece we can see at 8.24? Thanks in advance
Hey! Thank you! And the blue piece is a wire tap that allowed me to tap into the wire without need to cut it. They are sold at most hardware stores 🤙🤙 makes wiring w little easier, but they are not the most reliable connection fyi
Very nice video man!! Can’t wait to get mine installed when I buy it.
Thanks man! Installation day! Bring the beer! Hahaha
Dude your jeep so sick! -It’s Dawson.. the guy wi soupra
Hey thanks man! Your supra is sick! Definitely a nice build! Wouldn't wanna catch that thing at a red light. Id probably have to roll up my window you walk me so bad!
Aun la sigue utilizando?, tengo pensado poner uno de estos en vez de un carplay ya que solo necesito las cámaras.
Still using it and loving it, here's my 1 year review

Considering this for my 2018 JL but I'm wondering if the rear camera will fit where the existing rear camera is mounted
I have a friend with a jl and he loves it, definitely recommend 🙏🙏🤙🤙 use my code and link for a bigger discount 🙏🤙
Hi, thank you for this video. I will buy the G900. Can you please tell more about your underfloor frontcam für offroding and the switch. I want to install this too in my pinzgauer.
Hi! Yes the g900 is amazing, and for the camera, the radios usually have a trigger wire that gets activated when the vehicle goes into reverse to turn on the camera on the radio. I put that on a switch to power on the camera and also make the radio switch to the reverse mode. And I bought a cheap Amazon camera to put under my front bumper. Love it!
What camera did you use on the bottom of your jeep looking to add one for obstacles
I used one off of Amazon, I tried finding the exact link. But the one I purchased is unavailable now
Thank you for the video! Super helpful. What radio is that by the way, looks awesome!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed! Here is the Jeep stereo link
ebay.us/6tWRfx
Since you tapped into the reverse lights does the camera lose power when you're not reversing? It looked like you could see an image behind you while you were driving/
The reverse lights are to switch the view of the rear camera and to add the parking lines. Other than that the rear camera is always on and being used. The whole dash cam uses the rear camera as a rear view mirror so it's always on. Fronts always on also 🤙
That is very slick!! Going to get one for my JKU.
I'll be buying one for all my cars! Something like this could also be cool for my motorcycle 🤣
@@jku392adventures Which kit did you order? I was going to order the one with everything. Did you need the longer cable?
I got the g900, definitely get that one. And I the only thing I needed to add was the hardware kit. The camera wire has enough length for my 4 door jku 🤙 use my link and coupon code if you purchase 🤙🤙
@@jku392adventures Perfect, Thank you. I will. I was going to order the package with the cable but realized I should ask you. If you didn't need it then neither will I.
@@jku392adventures Ordered!! Thank you again!!
Does have the 24hr recording kill the jeep’s battery?
It has a sensor that if the battery gets too low it will shut off
When tying into the cigarette lighter what wires on the camera do you hook there. The red, yellow or both to the positive on the cigarette lighter.
Hey! Yellow goes to the bathroom power and red goes to the cigarette lighter that turns on with the key
Great video, not sure if you covered it but with night driving does the screen dim automatically? Or do you have to manually adjust it when it gets dark?
That's a good question! The screen does not dim automatically, but I have found that I don't really need to mess with the brightness settings at night. On my stereo I need to, but the camera probably is dimmer just because the camera isn't picking up as much light.
Does this have an app that allows you to check the camera whenever you want?
The g900 does not have a wifi app yet, the g840h does have an wifi app, but you would have to have the camera onto be able to connect to it. It's not like a Tesla where you can view the cameras when away from the car unfortunately. I wish!
What radio is that?
This looks great for my 02 beetle. I have a hard time getting into toght spaces since I can't see the rear bumper( it doesn't have one) its hard to judge distance when backing. Also it looks like you may have the rear camera installed upside down. So it looks like your driving on the opposite side of the road.
Hey! This would definitely be helpful for you it makes backing up much easier if you don't have an actual backup camera 🤙, and it's installed correctly because the actual mirror can adjust the viewing of the screen. But when I use the videos from the rear camera, they are backwards
Hey I just bought this - i have a question for you - is the included wire long enough for the back up cam or did you have to buy the extension wire?
The included wire was plenty long for my 4 door jeep wrangler with a little length to spare. Which vehicle are you putting it in?
What stereo are you running?
Thanks for the video👍🏾
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed! Here is the Jeep stereo link. It's already ended but that will show you the specs 🤙

Do you know if Wolfbox has plans to make an actual mirror replacement instead of the clip on?
On their website they sell a delete kit so you can delete the actual mirror then the wolfbox mirror will mount to the windshield. That is what I have, and I love it
Where mount the back camera with a wheel in the back blocking it?
Most people I know mount it in-between the spoke of the wheels, and make a little bracket. That usually works best
i have a 4xe could i just unplug the current stock mirror and use converter to usb c
I'm not positive on that, I would use the power at that mirror and use the additional power wires that they sell. I know it concerts the power properly to 5v so I wouldnt just adapt to type c without their power cable
Just bought one for my Compass, today arrived 😅 Jeep is not so popular in Europe 😢 Someome please help me buy some parts
Awesome! Your gonna love it! What else do you want to buy for your compass?! 🤙🤙👍👍
When installed does it interfere with the visors?
In my jeep jk, I don't have any issues with the visors, I still use them as intended 🤙
I have a 2012 JK but I'm scared that this will take up too much space on my windshield. Do you lose visibility? Can you use your visors still? I've heard that it hits the visors.
No complaints about it hitting the visor, it might come into small contact, but it has never bothered me. Totally worth having them with ZERO regrets 🤙
@@jku392adventures thanks for the reply! I measured it out and it literally hit both visors. Does it take up a lot of space in your viewing area on the windshield? I saw that they have a 10 inch model but the G900 looks so much better. I’m just really scared. It will bother me hitting the visors, or it will block my view.
When I get home from out of town I will make a short showing how much space it takes up, it never bothers me or any of my jeep friends, no complaints from the about the visor, which year jeep do you have?
@@jku392adventures great, thank you! Yeah I just really like the G900 but the size worries me. I have a 2012 Jeep Wrangler JK Sport.
@@jku392adventures I have a JK 2012 Wrangler
Nice but can you flip the rear camera view on the mirror, looks like you're in England.
You can, it has vertical and horizontal flipping 🤙
Can you still flip down the visor all the way?
I don't have any issues lowering them 😁
How bad is the glare on the mirror at night???? and I see wolfbox sells the anti glare film. Have you tried that??? And how bad is the glare on the recordings???? Thats the one concerning piece of the puzzle for me. Thanks
Good question! I actually bought the antiglare film but I discovered something before installing it. The only time I was getting glare was when the screen was "aimed" as a mirror, but to get rid of the glare I lowered the angle of the screen down so it removed ALL the glare. And on the recordings there's no glare luckily. 🙏🙏
Sorry misread that. The glare at night is not bad with the g900, honestly better than the jeep mirror imo. It's difficult to see cars that are super far away, but I use my side mirror for that. But overall I feel 100x safer using this mirror at night and day. The 840 I believe the night action is a little less as good than the g900
@@jku392adventures I have F150 so the rearview mirror makes the field of vision smaller. Im just concerned with all these cameras that the night vision is so bad. So youre saying to get rid of the glare you have to kind of 'tilt' the mirror down? Do you think the film helps? and with the pickup truck I guess the best place for the camera is on the tailgate door?
@@jaygolden4218 any glare during the day you can tilt the camera downward. During the night I don't have any issues with glare or blinding from headlights. For a truck I would probably recommend putting the camera above the hitch or centered on the bumper, that way the camera view is very centered. If you have a bed top, you could put it on top of it.
@@jaygolden4218 I can install the film and report back, but honestly you could always order the camera, and if the glare is undesirable you could order the film from Amazon really quickly. But I bought it and really haven't felt like I needed it
do you know if you can have it on 24/7?
I'm sure if it was in an area that doesn't get too hot it would be fine. What are you using it for?
@@jku392adventures how do i know if its on 24/7 I had it installed by a vendor is there a way for me to check ?

I dm-ed Wolfbox on the IG asking since this is advertised as an "Offroad & Jeep" rearview camera/mirror system was the "review mirror" waterproof? They responded with yes the rear mounted camera is waterproof. I said nope, not was I was asking. I'm asking is the review mirror/monitor mounted in the cabin, waterproof? They said no but that was a good idea. They also stated the monitor was overheating causing issues with performance of the mirror/monitor. This was 8 months ago that I asked so I hope they have remedied the issues with the monitor and have figured out a way to waterproof the monitor as well. As I leave the top off my Jeep 75% of the time and it would be awesome to have the monitor waterproof to not have to worry about damaging the investment, and make it a real "Jeep worthy" aftermarket accessory.
Wow I totally agree that it would be so awesome if it was 100% waterproof! I personally am not as worried about it because I don't think my stereo would withstand much water, but for those who do run the top off often, it would make sense. Hopefully they make a new model someday!
This 900 is not Wi-Fi correct? Only the 840 is?
Hold please, I'm checking with wolfbox lol... I'll update when I find out if they have wifi released yet
Correct, the g900 does not have wifi yet, but the G840H does. I'll be testing out that one soon
@@jku392adventures Have you tested the G840S? I got i and it was horrible at night...couldnt set anything in low light areas and headlights were blinding. Wondering if this model is much better in low light.
I have tested the 840h with the wifi and didn't have any issues at night, very similar to the g900, but I did have an issue with one camera and they sent me a replacement camera, and that replacement camera was terrible at night. I wonder if that's the advertised camera that comes with the cheaper models? I would look into the upgraded camera, I currently have one sitting in inside my bmw waiting to be installed. I can report back after I install it. You can pm me on IG also
Where u from i
Need my Installed will pay u
Lol I'm from Arizona 😂😂😂
nice vid!! how much do you think it would cost to have a car guy do this for me on my grand cherokee bc I will sure as hell fuck it up lolol
Hey thanks! And you could probably give someone like $50 bucks to install it, or you could just use the cigarette lighter plug to power it, a lot of ppl do that so they don't have to hard wire anything
@@jku392adventures I want the 24 hr surveillance:/ a guy who works on car audio and camera stuff quoted me a few hundred bucks. Yikes. 😅
Good god the back and forth video clips were giving me a headache. No need for all that. Take a smooth video.
Hahaha sorry! I was literally watching advice on RUclips videos to make them seem more interesting and everyone said to do that hahaha. Maybe I overdid it haha
