How is the quality of the rear view camera through the tint?
You need to plug in the yellow always on wore. Be aware the hard rite kit is designed to turn off once the battery get to 11.8 volts. Which means you'll still be able to start your van. Also you can go to the settings of the mirror and disable the parking mode. Which will also turn off the always on more.
Can I add my homelink wires to the mirror if I want it to be my permanent rearview? I also want to buy the bracket to look oem. just want to incorporate my homelink button to it if possible?

I just installed mine. You can set it to rear,front and split when its turned on
can the rear camera be tapped into an oem rear camera to eliminate having to mount an additional camera? i would love to test one out for offroad applications with my raptor group to see how well it helps in tight spaces/bumpy terrain.
Not that im aware of. The mirror uses the back cam for the mirror. Its 100% a tv screen. It records both cameras at the same time. In the file section you click the view when playing a file

Do you have to tap into the reverse lights, if you are simply going to use the rear camera as an always on "review mirror?" I'm installing on a RV and my OEM backup camera is not capable of staying on all the time.
No, you don’t have to use back up light connection, if you don’t camera still operates, just does not switch mirror to rear view backup assist.
How is the low light performance on the rear camera through the rear tint?
Its great. I can see more at night than with the regular rearview

Una duda, mi G900 es muy pesado para mi retrovisor. Necesita removerse el original, pero necesito el modelo exacto de soporte trasero del wolfbox, para poder quitar el original y poder instalar el nuevo. Pueden decirme el modelo exacto de soporte??

Hey bro. Great video. I hardwired it. Quick question. When I put the car into P and take the keys out. My screen remains on. Is there anyway for the screen to turn off automatically after I take the keys out? I don't want to use the screensaver bc I was hoping the screen would auto turn off after I turn the car off.

@@larabaste2662 I hardwired it wrong. I played around with the positioning of the wires more. It's more like trial and error. Keep connecting the wire to different outputs that aren't being used and I finally found one that turns off when I turn my car off but turns on if my car gets hit and stuff.

My g900 was installed today and after i got home i noticed I can't get into the settings mode and it seems to be forever stuck on reverse mode with the parking guidelines. Also seems to stay on when I turn off my car and lock it up. Any ideas to what's going on?
You may have tapped the wrong reverse wire to a source that is always powered instead of only on when the reverse lights are active.
Unfortunately this doesn’t work (hardwire) if the fuse box in the cabin always has power. A good example is 1st gen Chevy traverse cars. They have a LANBUS that is controlled by the computer and the computer tells it to turn things on/off

Power draw in park mode is very negligible, my truck doesn’t get drove many times for a month, even in winter, never drained the battery.
What was the wire tap to use?
the back camera is not good at night, unless it is fixed , the quality is bad

Alternatively, you can tuck the wires into the trim pockets instead of having to tear apart your trim like this video shows. Ive installed 3 dash cams in 3 different cars (trax, civic, & liberty) and i had no need to remove any trim at all and no visible wires anywhere

What's too much? The install process? You can streamline it by not hiding the wires, then there'll be complaints about the wires being in the way and not hidden. If you want something done right, you have to put a little work in.
