The account of Rahab is perhaps one of my most favorite in the Bible. I really appreciate it due to the fact that the Rahab account is such a POWERFUL argument against the skeptics that try to say that the God of the Bible is misogynistic. The fact that God not only forgave Rahab due to her faith, but also allowed her to become part of the lineage of Jesus Christ blows the idea of God being misogynistic completely out of the water. Another awesome account to read is in the book of judges and that is the account of Deborah. Both Deborah and Rahab are just two of MANY women in the Bible God had given the great honor of carrying out His Divine will and purpose.

It is awesome to know that Yahveh included many peoples from other nations aside from the Jews as part of the commonwealth of Israel, and in granting the Gift of Salvation.
That being said, the Hebraic Bible never hinted the Rahav was ever a prostitute.

The people who make an argument about God, being against women simply don’t read the whole Bible and take parts to the Bible out of context like a lot of people do to their error. Rehab was also a gentile, a non-Jewish person. The only other question I have about this video is I don’t think rehab was an outcast in the city of Jericho, she lived on the city wall with a window to the outside so when she let the spies down through the window, I don’t think a person who is in the outskirts of society would have a prominent space in the city like that maybe I’m reading more in the story than I need to, but any event I love the story of rehabit is such a message of God’s grace and mercy

Boaz was Rahab's son; he married Ruth. Boaz and Ruth were the great grandparents of King David. Joseph, husband of the Virginia Mary, was a descendant of King David.

I'm not sure she was a prostitute. Even though the Bible says she was a harlot, I think it was more likely that she was an Inn keeper. Translations of ancient languages are often difficult. The account says that the Israelite spies lodged at her house. She also asks for protection for herself and her father's house. Unusual that the spies would seek lodging at the house of a prostitute. Also, it appears that her father was living with her or she was close to him. However, God is certainly lenient with those who accept Him.

Rahab was a very high profile harlot, serving the high echelons of her society, thus was privy to all that was discussed, even in the chamber of their rulers and king of the land, and she was used to embolden the confidence of the 2 spies sent by Joshua on a reconnaissance mission to Jericho, by recounting to them, stories about their powerful God, and what He had done- on behalf of His people, from the way He brought them out of Egypt, to even to mighty kings of renown. Joshua 2.
She had faith in this God which she had never met, and called Him "the Lord " and had believed that she and her house could be saved by Him. She used this as a bargaining chip as she hid them from those looking to arrest them.
She actually prophesied vs 9, which demonstrated her trust in and allegiance to their God! Hebrews 11:1, she judged Him Faithful and True to save her, her parents and her entire household. This meant that she wasn't really comfortable in her line of work and must have somehow cried out to the unknown God, who never cast anyone away who calls on His name Romans 10; Jeremiah 33:33; Isaiah 65:24; Hebrews 11.
She used the collective pronoun "we, our", which showed her love and care for herself and others. She was bold enough, because she believed, to get the men to swear to her. She trusted in their God, but she needed confirmation from them, as men. She got her wishes fulfilled Joshua chapters 4-6.
Mary Magdalene, on her part, also had heard about Jesus Christ. I believe that she had been following Him secretly right from the beginning enough to understand what even the desciples couldn't Luke 17:34; by preparing the alabaster box of a very expensive ointment, broke and poured it on His head, weeping as she stood at His feet, behind Him, as one who was desperate for help but felt she wasn't worthy enough. Luke 7. But her faith emboldened her to behave like she did, not caring what people would say, especially the holier-than-thou pharisees. She had FAITH enough to believe that she, the societal pariah, wouldn't be rejected or cast away by the Messiah. She only believed, and she got the end of her faith- just like the Canaanite woman Matthew 15; who was even likened to a "dog"; the Roman Centurion- a gentile and enemy of the Jews Matthew 8.
The Samaritan at the well, woman who was not just a simple idolater, but had tried all the 5 religions of her Assyrian nation, and was now seeking the God of the Jews, until she met the Messiah! 2 Kings 17; John 4. Her faith in this God made her identify even with their ancestral father- Jacob, "OUR father, Jacob's well".
God is no respecter of persons, Acts 10:34.
Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord, shall be saved.
No one can have any opinions about the Lord and His love for them untill they reach out to Him by grace, through faith in the sacrificial death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, who will keep them by His Holy Spirit, until He returns as promised, to take them up and present them faultless before the presence of God the Father .
God will be Righteous and Just when He judges. No one will have any excuses on that day! He honors them that honor Him! You look in a mirror, and see only the side you present.
He is coming soon! Simply believe and trust Him till the end Matthew 24:13.

One mistake you made here, the Samaritans were not Canaanites, for the woman said Jacob our father... I think they were Israelites. When the split the Kingdom, Israel and Judah began to hate each other.... Judah worshiped Yahweh and the Samaritan worshipped strange gods. Peace be with you and have a good day. Rehab was the Canaanite.

Thanks. The issue was in the sentence.
The Samaritan woman wasn't a Canaanite indeed.
She said, "Our father Jacob's well," because of her newfound faith in the Jews religion. She was later introduced to the salvation by grace through faith in the Messiah - because of her strong faith.
Instead of trying to sort out her confusion on the fact that she, like every Jewish person, had to go worship in the temple at Jerusalem based on Deuteronomy 27:9-12; John 4:5-6.
But Jesus let her know that she didn't need to worship God on that mountain in order to become "the people of the Lord God." John 4:20.
God would be worshipped "in Spirit and in Truth"- simply by grace, through faith, for without faith, it is impossible to please God. Hebrews 11:6. Jesus implied that it wasn't God who was being worshipped on that mountain (Because God had rejected Israel as His people at that time, so He was sent to save them and reconcile them back to God, by faith in Him as the Son of God and the Son of David, but they rejected Him). John 4:21-24.
Everyone that Jesus Christ ministered to during His time in the world simply believed and received their request by faith. This woman simply believed as well when He told her that He was the Messiah because she had shown that she knew of Him and was expecting Him. Verses 25-26.
She demonstrated her faith with such joy and excitement, that she had to go tell everyone about it- she that used to hiding herself and would only go to the well when no one else would be there at the 6th hour, or midday. Verse 6, 29; Genesis 24:11.
Faith in Christ makes one do the unthinkable and the impossible just to let the next person know and taste that He is the Christ, the Lord, the Savior, the Ransomer, the Redeemer of the lost soul of man.
Jesus Christ was that gift of God which God had prepared for both Jews and Gentiles as members of His body. Verse 10. Which even Daniel couldn't understand, "Christ in us, the hope of glory !" By looking into the Jewish religion, she was immediately caught in the law of Numbers 5, and only by drinking by faith the Living waters offered by Jesus Christ would she be redeemed from the curse of the law.

@@ronkebarber6238 . She didn't know who he was, when she said that to him, Until after he talked to her and told her, her life.... Then she believed. She was an Israelite. I'm a believer and Jacob is not my forefather like he was hers. She's was an Israelite from what tribe we don't know. The Jews are only JUDAH.... She said my forefather. You got to know what that means.... And a for father is a relative. I'm not here to argue, have a good day.

      2 Kings 17.
Also, remember that northern Israel was separated from Judah and Benjamin, and had foreign kings, with whom God had no covenants whatsoever, thus, her acknowledgement of Jacob showed her faith in the God of Jacob, by knowledge of the scriptures which she had obviously studied.

from my understanding and correct me if i am wrong in Islam
Ishmael and Jacob both prophets chosen by God as was their Great father Abraham. His wives are both blessed ladies God fearing .
Prophets are protected by Gods command against sin and never disobey their Lord and do not follow their own desires. No such nonsense of Sarah being depicted as a jealous wife ordering her husband to leave his son and wife in a desert who being terrified of his wife does as she orders
The jewish and christian scriptures do not give the same super standard to Gods messengers. In actual fact they are horrific in their depiction
eg Prophet lot commits incest in a drunken state with his 2 daughters and they have a son each Genesis 19 v 36/37
Prophet King of Israel David commits adultery with BATHSHEBA wife of URIAH 2 Samuel v11-12
    continuing in Samuel
He sets up one of his top soldiers Uriah husband of Bathsheba to be killed so can marry his wife and they had a child.
GOD was upset with Davids action and in revenge through prophet Nathan God says Davids wives will be given to a companion to sleep with in broad daylight in front of all Israel and his son will die as a revenge.
These verses are some of many
