    I am so happy to hear you are doing well. It has been 2 years in September I'm not sure how I'm doing right now. A lot , so much going on with my entire family and since I have been fighting almost on my own everyone thinks that because I'm fighting they all seem to think I'm completely cancer free and only by the grace of God I'm standing. Have a mom that is not doing well, she is dealing with a lot of health issues. I was with her for 3 weeks and I felt falling sick again and trying to take care of her and myself as well is been very difficult know what to do right now.

      That sounds like a lot on your shoulders. I will pray that you and your mother both start feeling better very soon. It's hard enough to take care of yourself when you aren't well, but the added responsibility of caring for a loved one at the same time must be overwhelming. I hope you have a good relationship with your mom and also that you have friends you can talk to when you need an emotional outlet or boost. I will keep you both in my prayers.

    I just had my colonoscopy with four 2cm polyps removed, thankfully they were “abnormal cells” with no cancer detected. But my surgeon said I will need a colonoscopy every year for 10 years to be sure 😮. This worries me. I know I shouldn’t worry, but I can’t stop thinking “what if he missed some”.

      I’m so glad they found and removed those polyps! That’s pretty big. I don’t recall if I even asked how many or how big mine were. It is worth those visits. Keep healthy habits, and know that you’re going back in a relatively short amount of time. If your gastroenterologist is anything like mine, they did a couple of extra sweeps to be sure. Praying for your continued good health!

      @ thank you. Your videos are very reassuring and I pray you stay well. I am very happy I did the poop screening test which detected blood. Staying healthy, trying to get my mental health strong too. Bless you x

      Colorectal cancer usually forms from polyps, which are thankfully easy to spot, of course only if you do an colonoscopy, like you had.
      There are also benign polyps, which not always form cancer.
      Fact is, if those polyps won't get removed, they will grow slowely, over years and years and eventually form a cancerous structure, which then evolves into higher stages if not treated (Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 3 and Stage 4).
      That means, finding a polyp is not a bad thing, it is actually a good thing, because it won't have the chance of transforming into anything thats bad.
      If these wouldn't had be found and removed, your future self would have a very rough time...
      So, thats some great news :)

      I hope not. Remember, these symptoms could be a lot of different things. My goal is to raise awareness to make sure you go and get checked. And the check will hopefully be negative for cancer. Prayers for you to find out what is going on, and that whatever it is, you receive excellent care and it goes away.

    How long before you can eat meat, fruit, vegetables? How long before bowel movements? Was it painful? 😇

    Why don't you buy a slow cooker and cook half a kilo of veggies in it every day for 6-8 hours?

    • @BigValleyLiving
      @BigValleyLiving  Месяц назад

      I wasn't sure how things would be after surgery. I hadn't even thought about that. Good idea!

    • @TreeOfWisdom2
      @TreeOfWisdom2 Месяц назад +1

      @@BigValleyLiving It's a quick way to meet your daily vegetable intake quota (half a kilo). The veggies should be soft enough not to clog anything down there.
