    Great video! I would love to visit Montreal again, I've been to that city 2 times and had a fantastic time both visits.

    I have wanted to visit Mont Royal ever since reading Morley Callaghan's novel *The Loved and the Lost*.
    I am glad you never added music to the film.

    There is nothing I see beautiful about all these skyscrapers , have we not learned anything from Vancouver and Toronto , bigger is not better , just less affordable , we do not want people sleeping in the streets like Vancouver , yet we price them into the streets , by making lovely condos that no one will be able to afford . It is already . to expensive in Vancouver and Toronto , are we next . Making cities bigger just means taxing people more to maintain them .Freeze rents until a balance is reached in housing . Creating something nobody can afford , just leaves another vacancy .

    Do you think Montreal is the most beautiful city in the world....?

    • @DroneMTL
      @DroneMTL  2 года назад +1

      It does have its charms. But I sure wouldn't say the most beautiful in the world, maybe Canada? There are hundreds of beautiful cities in the world, of which several are much more older and richer in culture and history.

      Of course not. Parts of Montreal are very nice. Many other parts are pretty grungy. This is probably true of most cities.

    What drone do you use? It goes really far!

      It's a DJI Mini 2 and this was one of my longest trips, close to 4.25 km, I had to return because of the battery level, but signal was still good.

      @@DroneMTL You know that is illegal even for the mini 2 to fly over buildings, cars and people ? You were lucky not getting caught :)

    • @DroneMTL
      @DroneMTL  2 года назад

      @@jean-sebastienbrisebois2205 There's no explicit law about not flying over buldings cars and people with micro-drones. The only law says do not operate your drone in a reckless or negligent manner as to endanger or be likely to endanger aviation safety or the safety of anyone. This is subject to interpretation, but I don't think I'm flying recklessly or flying so that I'm likely to endanger safety. You are welcome to point me out to a text of law that says what I'm doing is illegal.

      @@DroneMTL I know I do also have a mini2, but some points to mentions : Need to keep the drone in eye sight, since yours was at 4km (Which I am amazed my record over a lake was 2.2km but you must have better reception on the Mont Royal with no obtacles. Oher point would be to not fly over a mass of people and since you seem to fly over the heart of Montreal there are people everywhere :) Still, I also though to fly mine on the Mont Royal your video is awesome I am maybe a little scared since it is in the middle of the city.

      @@jean-sebastienbrisebois2205Keeping visual line of sight is part of a list of "recommendations", not an absolute law. Flying above people is also unavoidable, but avoiding crowds or events is wise. Judgment is key. There's always a risk. I have a liability insurrance just in case (Coverdrone). Still it is legal and I don't think I'm "lucky for not having been caught".
      My drone is labeled with my name, phone number and email address. If someone gets hit I will take responsibility right away, no question asked!
      People gets hit by cars that weigh thousands of pounds everyday but we don't consider driving around people reckless... Thanks for your comment!

    Spectacular views of Montreal and surround area from Mont Royal. I think the mountain itself while not as majestic as say as the Rockies it is the fact it lies smack in the heart of the city that makes Montreal a beautiful city.
