What is the most expensive street legal dirt bike from Amazon like?

I ended up buying this as my first bike 2 months ago and I've already put 2200 miles on it all I've done was change the oil adjust the chain and put gas in it. I'm obsessed with riding and I'm excited to master it and move on to a bigger bike. To anyone thinking about getting a first bike this one is actually good in my opinion I dropped it and slid about 20 feet at 700 miles and I got up and drove it home. In short I beat the hell out of it it is only a 200cc bike you won't be passing anyone or racing but it's a whole lot of fun for someone that wants to ease their way in to the world of motorcycle riding
As i have had 5 Chinese scooters in the past i know that the Lifan engines are good quality. The only rubbish with Chinese scooters are the included start battery that will drop dead after about a year. If the sparkplugs are original NGK the bike will always start without a problem.
Is it made in china, what is the brand and name of the bike, Is the oil that it came with synthetic?
Anytime you get a China bike always change the oil they usually aren't known for having quality oil.
damm you were going 700 miles per hour thats sooo fast
there is nothing stoping you from getting a used liter bike and learn how to ride .
To give my person experience with Lifan bikes, I got a Lifan KP Mini 150cc (2017) new (grom clone, 5 gears, 150cc engine). I've replaced the exhaust and installed a swingarm extension kit and new chain. I've put 2500 miles on it in the last 6 months and I've never had a single problem with it. I'm following the owners manual break-in instructions as closely as possible and it's been running like a dream. Big props to Lifan for budget bikes at good quality.
Do I think it's better than or equal to the average Grom in terms of build quality? That's debatable, but the engine is definitely solid. No problems with loose bolts or anything like that. If you're looking for a budget new bike, I'd recommend Lifan based on personal experience.
yeah lifan isnt a fly by the night company, they are are on the stock exchange. This is a high end bike brand in chyna

Great review as always! Also, I respected the fact that at the end you clearly stating something along the lines of, for your first bike you're not looking for something fast, you're looking for something to learn on and maybe drop a couple times. That's a point not many people understand and it's a good reminder for people out there. The mistake people make, is getting a bike that's fast or too heavy, dropping or wrecking it, and being scared or weary to ever get on another bike, and that's not what anyone wants or what it's all about!
The engine and gearbox on these Chinese bikes and quads are actually quite good. I have a 200cc quad, and I did about 5000km with it without issues. But they have a problem turning over when cold.

Instead of cranking it over a bunch to get it started, you need to cycle the fuel pump by turning the key on until the pump shuts off, then turn it off. Repeat about 10 times then try to start it. If it doesn’t start, cycle it another 5 times.
Right. And remember this guy runs a MOTORCYCLE DEALERSHIP. Yikes.
There's only about a foot of fuel line from the tank to the motor. should only have to cycle it once before it fires up. I've ran both my bikes dry many times and once filled back up it usually fired right back up without having to prime the lines at all.
@@richardsalinetrojr1957 You must have carbureted bikes. EFI bikes have to blow the air out of the fuel lines and through the injectors before they will fire off. And that takes a few cycles. Some models will run the fuel pump constantly with the engine off, but the big manufacturers only let it run for a second or two if the engine isn’t running. Things may have changed some in the 7ish years since I retired from being a tech for a Suzuki WSB team, but I doubt they have changed that much. China made junk may be different, but the ones I’ve seen only cycle the pump for a second or so. And that’s not enough to bleed the injectors.
@@adamr9215 I currently own a 06 Kawasaki Ninja 650R and a 2015 CBR 1000RR. both are fuel injection and ran both dry and both will fire right back up within 3 to 5 sec after refilling them. I've never noticed any difference starting up with fuel in lines compared to being ran empty.had a few cases where the 650R would fire up then sputter and die but fired right back up.
I must admit "use fist time" is pretty good and one up on the early 80's Ducati English version factory workshop manuals which had 'to change rear wheel put tennis ball on turn steering army' or something like that. And this was still better and way before Google Translate which would probably come out with the same thing.

Just FYI, Lifan is pronounced Lee-fahn 力帆 and would kind of mean, “powerful sails”。 Lifan makes the little engines and small factories design/take/copy/whatever old fairings, gauges, suspension, etc then sell them online. Lifan engines are surprisingly bulletproof
The voltage regulator has two 12V outputs. One goes to charge the battery, the other goes directly to the headlight. That is why the headlight only operates when the bike is running. However, the flash-to-pass is likely wired up to the battery, FWIW. That's how my Chinese bike is. So, it's not actually taking power from the battery, it's just stator output converted and fed directly.

So a little interesting story about this brand, Lifan. In the 90s and early 2000s, this company is probably one of the largest motorcycle pruducer in the country. Their bikes have been ridden by millions of people as their daily commute and almost the only way to go from state to state in holiday seasons as means of getting home for family reunion. So, it might not be as good as Honda, but it has proven its worth. Unfortunately they have gone bankrupt as more and more people have chosen cars instead of bikes in China.

It felt as fast as my old '74 SL125 that had a hole in the side of the cylinder wall the length of the piston, 1" wide and 0.020" deep. As stable as a skateboard with loose bushings and it's wheel nuts 1/2 on. It had the balance of a 3 legged cat with no tail and a shaking problem. It stopped on a dime.... So long as the dime was just one of 100 that made a stack 3x too long. It might as well have had bicycle brakes on it. Having ridden hardtail Harley's with drums front and rear, this thing was scary to stop on. And I only went ~30 mph on it. The only time I was made more nervous by a bikes brakes was when I hopped on that Harley and found out the front brake was gone. So stopping entirely on rear drum brake and engine braking.
So, what I'm saying is, as someone who has ridden some very slow, very clapped out, very old, very loose and very under-performing motorcycles, these $2500 chinsesium motorcycles should not be on the streets of America.
Buy used. Even 30+ yr old used.
I see you're a man of class, anyone who watches AVE certainly is.
You're right about that! Bought a run down Suzuki DR 650. Put quite a few hours in to make it good and I'm still below what he spent on this bike. Plus mine has way better aftermarket support and a lot more power 👌
"Normal" 100 pound girl?? My girl's purse weighs more than that...
There might be a bike floating around in there too. Those damn things seem to have everything in them.

i must say, so many youtubers have done this kinda (amazon best and worst) kinda vids. but yall's are the BEST!
The one question I had was: Would it even be possible to get spare parts for it when you barely know what it's called, who would even have parts for it?
I imagine the frame and fairings would be difficult to replace, but like he said Lifan really is a well known company and there should be plenty of replacement parts for the engine. Not to mention the aftermarket world for 250ish cc bikes is plentiful.
I own this bike. Lifan (The manufacturer) dealers are everywhere around the USA and lifan had a store on Amazon
Buy a new one every time something breaks
Laughing my butt off when he said I shouldn't be going this fast on a bike I put together myself
Everybody: Why do motorcycles get in accidents to often?
Motorcyclists: 3:12
underated
This is Lifan kpr, from No1 chinese manufacturer, this bike is very popular in south asian country.. 150-200cc segment, good power & acceleration.
We need to see a review when "If" that bike hits 10,000 miles.
It would go 50000 miles with no major problem if maintained decently! Lifan make decent bikes and very popular around South East Asia
Yeah I think they have the technology pretty well dominated by now. See all the little “mailman” bikes they (Chinese mfg) have in Latin America and the Caribbean, and they last a long while and are very cheap.
I think you are an older gents eh Wayne? China is not what you think it is nowadays, they got their technology together... still for cheap unlike some countries that can only make it expensive... ehem I mean "fair", due to regulation and unnecessary bureaucracy. That is what makes them even bigger everyday, because people love cheap stuff, and reliable.
@@slothypunk yep lived in South East Asia the Chinese bikes can really take a beating
That stuff is reliable ❤️🇺🇸
For the price. Good learner motorcycle. Really like to see you do a longterm evaluation.
only things it has over a $1500 ninja 250 is fuel injection and appearance depending on your taste. This thing is slow. People say you will get bored of a normal 250-300 bike in a month, this thing accelerates slower than a prius. Not saying people are right about that but it is not going to give you any money back when you get rid of it. You buy a dropped 250 and drop it 3 more times the value might go down a couple hundred, but you will still get some back. Who would want to buy this off of you for a reasonable amount of money even if you don't drop it?
@@sed8181 For a first learner bike I'd rather see my child ridding this new bike than and old one that might have been abused and it is slowlier. I think for the price a first kiddo bike yeah. Just want to see how it run in the longtime and issues that might arise. If I myself wanted to start biking I'd try this cheaper to maintain decent perf, looks ok, probably light. I'm not a biker so I don't have any idea of what i'm talking about but as a first bike why not?
@@prignony RegularCarReviews thanks you friend. Learn the essentials on a small bike. Nothing like grabbing a fist full of throttle on a small engine motorcycle.
@@prignony The reliability of the older bikes are proven. A ninja 250 cheaper than this one isn't even old. You could get a 2012 for cheaper. It would be faster and has really cheap maintenance. The fairing may be scraped up but the engines are designed to be ridden hard. I would be more concerned that the maintenance has been done regularly than how the previous owner rode it. I've been riding mine for almost 2 years. Each oil change costs $30 dollars I've done 2 so far. I spent $120 on tires and $10 on brake pads. that was all I spent on maintenance for the last 2 years. I could run the tires for another year too. This year my entire maintenance cost will be $30. It can actually handle the highway. I can pass traffic going 70mph with ease. this bike would be lucky to get to 70, making it dangerous to ride on the highway.
When my pc cost more than that bike right there .. should’ve got a bike
Bro who's neighbor just *has* a forklift, bro said that like it was borrowing sugar
the oil that comes in bikes that are shipped is called shipping oil it’s not meant to be used, it just so the inside dosent rust, your supposed to drain the shipping oil right away and put actual oil in before riding the bike
good to know. would you know if this is a standard procedure if you ship used bikes as well? cheers
shootax i’m not sure if your shipping your own bike but i know like companies and factories always put shipping oil inside before they ship a bike
Yes, gives new meaning to " break in"!
Crusade
That's exactly what I've been told is standard procedure as well. It probably had trouble starting right away because he neglected draining and putting in proper oil.
"King Power Racer" a name that only means one thing; DOMINATION.........

They where in 5th gear. And where doing like 30 40mph.

Assuming you're looking for a first bike, if you're a little nervous of the manual transmission at first because it will jump and you're going to dump it almost guaranteed. 2 other good options for starters are the Venom x22 250 or the Falcon 250, just trying to give ya some ideas

The biggest problem with these internet/Chinese bikes is - where are you going to get parts and service?
motor is common so parts and maintenance on that wouldn’t be hard and for everything else you could probably order them from the company or china dont know how logical that would be though
You can get parts for Chinese bikes everywhere, many of them are universal with other Chinese bikes. Not to mention there extremely cheap. Usually why generally Chinese things especially bikes sell well, but are some of the worse in terms of reliability. I’ve had 2 Chinese pit bikes, and a few bigger bikes. They break 10x as often as something like a Honda. But I can work on them, and the parts are cheap as I said, so generally when something does break on there I can have it fixed for under 50 bucks, and a couple hours of work depending what went wrong with it. I do a lot of “off-roading”, in sand, trails, forests, etc so it’s just part of owning a bike.
Amazon has 99% of the bits and pieces you need for Chinese bikes
I love the way you’re family is you’re best fan
Your* on both of those.
I would still rather just buy a 20 year old honda for half the price of this.
no matter what bike you buy. if you look after it, it will look after you
@@pyra6517 never ever buy a Chinese bike. Just get an old used Japanese one, they actually can stay alive for more than two riding seasons.
