Great review, thanks! Any thoughts on how the PX71 compares to these?

We never see the 71's. It's just not really available where we are. I'd imagine they're lightning-fast from edge to edge and work great on firm snow.

Any thoughts on these versus the Declivity 82ti and the Volkl Kanjo as an all-around, frontside New England resort ski? Thanks!

The Kastle definitely leans more to the groomer-only side of the spectrum vs. these other two, which are rounder in nature and therefore more versatile when the conditions and terrain change. I think that the Kastle is more focused as a front side ski. Declivity has fantastic positive camber underfoot and has a ton of energy and pop to it. The Kanjo is light, easy to turn, and a lot of fun but isn't quite as stiff or reactive as the Declivity.

Also, how do these compare to the Stöckli Montero AX?
I've had a Laser AX for a couple years but sadly broke them last year, so I'm looking for a new pair.
I'm 36, 6'1", ~190lb, advanced/intermediate, and coming back from an ACL surgery (so rather not have too demanding skis for now). Do you think either of these two would suit me best? Or any other model that comes to mind?
Thanks a lot for your reviews once again, they're great!

The PX 81 is a lighter and poppier version of the smooth Montero. I think if you're at all worried about the weight of the ski, the Kastle makes good sense here. If you want to move a bit more to the rounder shape and style, I'd check out the Armada Declivity 82 Ti or the Salomon Stance 84.

@@SkiEssentials thank you so much! I'm returning from an ACL surgery (not cleared to ski yet), which makes it even trickier to pick the right pair. Many thanks!
