Great Story , Enjoyed Alot
love this author!
Would be a good movie
Chapter 4 and still nothing has happened. I do know positively that this is a LibraVox publication & that it is in the public domain
The phrase slow burner does not do this book justice. I am in the seventh hour now and somber voice of the Dane or Swede that is reading is fitting for this well written love story that for an active man who enjoys action like I do, is nearly chloroform in print. I will continue listening to see if all of this buildup does not climax satisfactorily.
ETA It took until nearly the 8th hour but finally an action scene. This is primarily a romance novel even though it is told from a Male perspective mainly.
enjoyed but a little trouble on youtube
Few
A very interesting book that makes you see Alaska, and want to go there.
But I must say that the story frustrates me how a hardened Alasken gold digger come reindeer farmer could make so many bad decisions when fleeing, that bought so many extra problems to the couple. It's just not realistic in keeping with the type of men in those places . But it makes the story much longer of course.
Is this a Librivox recording?
Yes unfortunately..
Hahaha!
Right ok I've tolerated it hus far in hopes of redemption. The use of the same technique twice - dead but not really - is too much. The tactics are similarly poor - why would he not set the cabin alight to gain more time (as they did his). So many flaws beyond that. Alas I am compelled now to to finish. My hopes are dashed.
interesting well written story but ghastly reader. How did any person allow the reader to speak so badly? Expressing all lines as if delivering a sermon at a funeral ....unrelenting tone of gloom. Sorry I had to give up before I also attempted suicide.
What a waste of 9 hours. The switching of narrators was worse then the constant introductions and the plot of the story. Very slow going for a lousy climax.
