Sgi (thank you in Giduwa Cherokee) for your welcoming us to country. I hope you get to visit Eastern Cherokee Country in what's now North Carolina and eastern Tennessee in the USA. Our homeland and creation takes place int he Great Smoky Mountains.
I am - enrolled at adelaide university this semester- taking aboriginal studies - was blessed to be in a smoking ceremony which inducted me to family . Meant a lot - Australia has a black past, not much has changed
Make sure you teach them that it was made up in 1976 by Ernie Dingo and Richard Wally, they had nothing to go on, they had no historical evidence, they literally made it up. Then the students can decide for themselves whether this is actually Aboriginal culture and history. This has less history and culture than Aboriginals using a flushing toilet, driving cars and eating McDonald's. I personally see this as a huge insult to 65,000+ years of Aboriginal history and culture.
Comparative religion is a very important subject. This allows a person to decide for themselves whether or not their religion is right for them. This is important because religion is a choice, it should be er be forced upon a person.
Aboriginal people and the whole community must stand together to look after this great land, and show respect for all that walk on this land, Aboriginal land
I just really love this. All these amazing Elders. Where would South Australia be without their wisdom and care?

If you've been to the Aboriginal communities you'll know that they don't love the land anymore
