    I can't believe it took almost 30 years to finally get a really, really, REALLY good Def Leppard song.

    Reading some of the negative comments absolutely disgusts me. First off as Joe Elliott has said numerous times they are NOT a heavy metal band. Second, I wish more people would understand we will NOT get the screamers these lads produced when they were in their 20's. Don't get me wrong I love High and Dry, On Through the Night, etc., but to ask for Def Leppard to go back to that when they are in their mid to late 50's is NOT going to happen! Appreciate the fact they are so diverse and are still performing when most other bands in the 80's era did not survive! The two new tracks rock and I can't wait for the album to be released on Friday! Rock on Lepps!

      @aadityarajbhandari2709 3 года назад +3

      Totally agree with you but, I feel like they should produce the songs a little stripped down, now that Joe's voice is little different because of his age. Otherwise the song is rockin'!

    No wonder this song gaining views much more quickly than 'Let's Go', despite the fact that that was their lead single. I must've played this song at least 10 times more than 'Let's Go', it seriously rocks! Easily the best thing they've done since Paper Sun. Maybe even since their adrenalize album!!!

    THEY ARE BACK!!!
    One of only 5 bands to ever have back to back Diamond albums are at it again, turning heads, opening eye's as well as ears. The sound that virtually every other band tried to copy in the 80's have put together another Masterpiece, the likes of which has not been heard since, Hysteria. With their trademarked military cadence, The Lep draws from the well once again to produce a Harmony clinic second to none for their legions of fans, and we LOVE every second of it. "Long Live Rock-N-Roll!!!"
    Respect the Lep

      Hysteria/Adrenalize are still "classic" too though. Those albums sold tens of millions of copies, and are ultimately what pushed Def Leppard into the superstar status. Everybody has different ideas on what's "classic", there's no right or wrong

    • @cgme9535
      @cgme9535 5 лет назад +1

      Surprisingly enough, I don't like High 'N Dry that much. I like Rock of Ages far more, and others even more than that.
      Just because they were their earlier songs, doesn't mean they are intrinsically the best, or "classic".
      I, personally, am not a massive fan of ACDC's High Voltage album. I like their '75 album and '76 album more. I'd call their two later albums (marginally later), with Bon, far better and far more "classic ACDC".

    Just finished listening to the new album. It is everything the early reviews claim. Their third masterpiece after Hysteria and Pyromania. The songs are so diverse but yet absolutely catchy as hell. You will be blown away by how good this record is. I am actually starting to feel it may be their best. It truly gets better with each listen. This is just Lep writing songs as they created them without too much over producing. Sounds very modern as well. The obvious radio singles are incredible.

    Def Leppard is one of my all time favorite bands. The first album I ever owned was the cassette of the "Hysteria" album....my grandma bought it for me when I was like 10, and I've loved DL ever since. BUT, my concern is that, although this album and these new songs sound killer....like the classic DL we all love, it'll get ignored by the idiotic music listeners of today who would rather have a shitty Rap album, or a hip hop sounding...and insulting to the genre Country album, or some screaming head bangin' album instead of taking a listen to real musicians, and real music from one of the most influential, and strongest(e.g drummer losing an arm, and losing a founding member during the height of their career) rock bands of the 80's. I personally would like to see some of these old classic bands continue doing what they've always done and start chart topping again, and boot this dogshit they call music today outta the industry! History NEEDS to repeat it's self!!!!!!

    It's not the Def Lep of old but those days are gone and Steve Clark Rests In Peace. That being said, I love to hear the twin guitar sound "going back to the day" though it's between Viv and Phil. Still it's solid and reminds me of the Def Lep sound of old going back to Hysteria and that time. It's the hardest I've heard Rick pushing the band in years. Now that he's back to an acoustic set up, (except for four pads he plays with his left foot) it sounds heavier than it's sounded in years. It's also the best I've heard Elliot's voice sounding in awhile. He's lost a bunch off his higher range but that lower chest voice and growl is recognizable and again, reminds me of earlier material. Maybe it's the attitude he seems to be singing with. The only reason I didn't mention Sav is because throughout all the ups and downs Def Lep has gone through since they first started opening for bands like AC/DC until now, his bass playing has always been solid and his back up vocals have always provided the melodies needed to compliment Joe Elliot's voice, especially as Elliot has gotten older and some of the higher notes have disappeared. Overall, it;s just this old man's humble opinion, but this is the best Def Lep album I've heard in years....so far...lol. Thank you so much for posting this.

      100% Fucking better than any mainstream bullshit that plays on the road. This song satisfies my faith that proper and down right rock n roll is still alive, it's just clouded by all the garbage young people wanna listen. This is the music I wanna play over n over everyday. Drums guitar riffs outright rock n roll and this kids is what real music sounds like.

      Probably in the top ten rock bands of all time. Don't think they beat, Queen, led zeppelin, or deep purple....

    • @jdspreest
      @jdspreest 8 лет назад

      @Benjamin, he didn't say genres, he said bands..regardless of genres, DL isn't the best fucking band...I'd have to agree with mrsneaky though in regards to Queen. They are probably the best band ever, as whatever genre they attacked, they mastered..no band was as diverse as was Queen, and no one ever will be as great as they were.
