Scott recently said that when Andrei kicked him into the glass case (at the beginning), where Scott blocked with both arms, that it hurt like hell. And, that they were using real bats against each other. Also, as part of the story, when Scott's character has that realization that he can fight Andrei, his superhuman abilities began to unleash themselves; hence why he was able to fight more on-par with Andrei's character. I must add that Scott mentioned that this was Andrei's first movie, and that he was impressed with how well he sold the fuck out of his role.
If you'd like to look at some more Scott Adkins, I'd recommend the 2019 film Avengement. Fights are a lot more brutal, and it shows how Scott would deal with groups!
I was never an mma fighter, but Ive practiced martial arts as a workout my whole life, and I love what movies can show for fight scenes💖this is also one of my favorite Fight scene ever! Such warrior awesomeness, and the bats like 🗡️⚔️ and super solgiors they were here too
Scotts stuff is amazing. Doesn't really get a lot of recognition by the general public but he's working on the next John Wick so hopefully that will change soon.
Love how much fun you visibly had watching that scene ! That laugh was infectious. Also, do you know, I'd never heard of Scott Adkins before getting one of your vids in my list of recommandations, but I'm blown away. That guy can move.
I didn't know him by name but I had seen him in Undisputed before finding out how many things he's been in as a result of this channel. Definitely deserves the attention he's being given here!
Man, that was brutal! The use of a bat to hit and eventually break someone's head in half was unexpected to say the least. Also, Max, Check out this Karate Combat fight: ruclips.net/video/qqnm3Drqemw/видео.html
Thank you for this... my nephew put me onto this film. MAN ALIVE it had my eyes out on storks, I'd seen the first Universal Soldier film at the flix, but where the story goes in this film in a real interesting "rabbit hole" twist direction I felt was very good. Again cheers for your thoughts.
One, you're reaction when he takes half of his head off is awesome! Two, checking the baseball bat is because they are super soldiers. They are superhumanly strong. Scott is awesome and Arlovsky is a great villain.
You definitely need to check out the next two fights in this film. Scott Adkins vs Dolph Lundgren and Scott Adkins vs Jean Claude Van Damme. The last one is epic.
Andrei Arlovski did about 212 flying knees in this movie, few months later he tried the same thing on Fedor......"#¤"#¤" movie got his muscle memory confused and Fedor wrecked him
You gotta do jet li's fist of legend. Multiple fight scenes from start to finish in the whole movie. Really shows jet li's speed and skill set throughout the whole movie
btw he is blocking bat at an angle which is correct way to do it so it is not straight on the bone, they are ofc holding it in, but I guess to avoid accidents they did it correctly....or Andrei had thought people with bats before he became a pro fighter :P
did u watch scotts reaction to this the opther dayu, he said they broke the prop bats to quick they had to use real bats in the end, also they are unisols so they can take alot more than normal humans
I had mentioned to check out Scott Adkins appearing again with corridor crew stuntmen react recently, on the last live stream, i think by random chance he saw this without seeing the insight Scott gave with the corridor guys
There is an episode of Corridor Crew where Scott Adkins breaks down this fight scene, he said that the bats were real because they didn't had time to buy props, that must've been an insane of a shooting.
usually in stunts when doing the big swings with weapons they are out of measure, so even if they screw up it misses, not always, but camera angles and how they are actually holding the weapon work wonders.
Have you seen Scott's appearances on Corridor Crew's channel breaking down his fights? They've also had quite a few stunt people on from a lot of scenes you react to. Edit - This scene was on their last episode with Scott, uploaded last weekend.
You might wants to check out Best of the Best. The last seen has Phillip Rhee fighting Simon Rhee (his real brother) in a taekwondo style tournament fighting. Also check out Iron Monkey starring Donnie Yen every fight scene he is in is gold.
Love that fight. Have you done any fights from Kung Fu Killer? It's a great recent Donnie Yen movie with a ton of great fighters and styles represented!
I would love to see you react to some of the fights in Red Vs. Blue when Monty Oum was doing the animations before he died. He also did a series called Dead Fantasy that has some really fun hand-to-hand fights in it.
Thank you for reminding me about dead fantasy!!! Someone told me to watch that ages ago and I forgot the name of it!!! I'll see what I can do about some Red vs Blue as well!
Yeah think there like 3rd generation Universal Soldier's. Believe it a sequels to 1992 Movie off Same name staring Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren. Van Damme was in this one I think near the end.
Paper tigers from Netflix fight scenes? There are three in the movie beginning at 36 minutes into the movie, 58 minutes in and an hour 1:34 minutes. That would be cool
I'm not a big Adkins fan, and while I think the original Universal Soldier is one of the best movies Van Damn ever made the sequels are mostly garbage. That said, the kick into a back flip Adkins did is absolutely an homage to Van Damn, it was one of his trademark moves in multiple films, along with his spinning split kick.
Taking a bat to the forearm or shin isn't that bad...if You've trained your shin to kill the nervs and you have some muscle on your forearms... but if You're skinny ..yea I imagine it hurts and i know it's a movie and it's props and all that stuff..but believe me ,Andrei Arlovski can block a baseball bat with his forearm easily..
I figure Bruce Lee invented the idea of mixed martial arts, but can you comment on the value or danger of a particular style when it comes to taking martial arts? Is there a reason one should or should not take something as particular as "Crane Style Shaolin Kung Fu" , for example? Also, do you enjoy "old school choreography" when it comes to fight sequences to be commented upon? Choreography has come a long way, but action performers had to put just as much of themselves into it then as they do now. Here is the end fight from the old school flick Magnificent Butcher. Sammo Hung goes through a series of very stylized martial arts in this sequence. The performance is fantastic.... but the choreography is old-school and would you say that locking yourself into one style is an old-school way of thinking about fighting? ruclips.net/video/GZn5zGn0OBM/видео.html&ab_channel=BruceHuneker
This scene is pivotal to the plot, as Scott's character is starting to realize that he has superhuman abilities. Hence him not dodging the bowling ball, but just smashing it. After a some mediocre sequels in the Universal Soldier series, this one was a very interesting take on the concept and a blast to watch.
I mean if I'd seen the movie it wouldnt be a very good first time reaction. It definitely sacrifices my knowledge and background of the film sometimes, but I like to try and keep it a true 1st time view
Please give your reaction to this Indian movie fight scene ruclips.net/video/bbRLgVxfC5g/видео.html. He is John Abraham, one of the best action superstars.

Andre was in the Universal soldier before this one.
It's a phenomenal job by the boys
If you'd like to look at some more Scott Adkins, I'd recommend the 2019 film Avengement. Fights are a lot more brutal, and it shows how Scott would deal with groups!
the fight in prison where he loses is also amazing, that stair stomp finish is just, awful to watch, i love it :D
@@Roguhr I'm almost never shocked by on screen gore, but that had me shouting out "No!" when I saw it. So disgusting, but awesome at the same time.
he's done quite a few movies thus far - i've found many of the ones i was going to suggest
Scott deserves so much more praise from mainstream Hollywood than he gets, I swear. Casting him in bit parts in major movies is just insulting.
I was never an mma fighter, but Ive practiced martial arts as a workout my whole life, and I love what movies can show for fight scenes💖this is also one of my favorite Fight scene ever! Such warrior awesomeness, and the bats like 🗡️⚔️ and super solgiors they were here too

true every kick stunt he does is absurd even in IP man 4
YESSSSS, so glad you were finally able to check it out! Definitely one of my favorite fight scenes. Just Brutal 😁✊🏽💪🏽

they were using real bats in this scene though, props to them
If you can, give Corridor Digital a look, they had Scott on the other day to break down how they did the fight
yeah, saw that, broke the "stunt" bats, and used real ones
Oh shit whats the episode? Boutta scroll thru for it now

Superbly entertaining phenomenal fight scene. Andrej and Scott do a phenomenal job, looked pretty dangerous to film.
You definitely need to check out the next two fights in this film. Scott Adkins vs Dolph Lundgren and Scott Adkins vs Jean Claude Van Damme. The last one is epic.
This is a great film! It's like David Lynch made an action movie based on "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind".
Andrei Arlovski did about 212 flying knees in this movie, few months later he tried the same thing on Fedor......"#¤"#¤" movie got his muscle memory confused and Fedor wrecked him
oh my god, I used to love the Jean-claude version so much as a kid
You gotta do jet li's fist of legend. Multiple fight scenes from start to finish in the whole movie. Really shows jet li's speed and skill set throughout the whole movie
You need to cover the scene every movie swipes: Old Boy Hallway Fight
But not the Remake one with Josh Brolin. Better stick to the original. ^^
btw he is blocking bat at an angle which is correct way to do it so it is not straight on the bone, they are ofc holding it in, but I guess to avoid accidents they did it correctly....or Andrei had thought people with bats before he became a pro fighter :P
Good fight scenes. Looking forward to more? Falcon Rising sometime, maybe?
Fun fact: they actually killed Andrei arlovski for this movie
Cool set up man, also hope your doing good.

Not yet I haven't but I'll make sure to check it out!
> This is not real, there's no way.
Hello, this is Universal Soldier. Van Damme? Dolph Lundgren? Ice baths? Not paying for lunch?
There is an episode of Corridor Crew where Scott Adkins breaks down this fight scene, he said that the bats were real because they didn't had time to buy props, that must've been an insane of a shooting.
usually in stunts when doing the big swings with weapons they are out of measure, so even if they screw up it misses, not always, but camera angles and how they are actually holding the weapon work wonders.
I was speechless after the baseball bat kill. Holy smokes bro!
Have you seen Scott's appearances on Corridor Crew's channel breaking down his fights? They've also had quite a few stunt people on from a lot of scenes you react to. Edit - This scene was on their last episode with Scott, uploaded last weekend.
They're Universal Soldiers. They're genetically Enhanced so theyre pain threshold, reflexes, Strength is heightened to superhuman levels.
Scott wasn't in Universal Soldier, he was in Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning. I had to check to see if they rebooted UniSol
When he took the top half of his head off my first reaction was "Yep. That will end it."
Scott Adkins vs Amy Johnston in Accident Man!!
You might wants to check out Best of the Best. The last seen has Phillip Rhee fighting Simon Rhee (his real brother) in a taekwondo style tournament fighting. Also check out Iron Monkey starring Donnie Yen every fight scene he is in is gold.
FINISHIM: FATALITY, FLAWERS VICTORY
I liked the original Universal Soldier, that fight in the restaurant was hilarious.
Check out the end fight scene from the movie "the Rebel" 2007 and " bay rong" 2009
3:30 The head shot and how throws the bat to the floor ..
Love that fight. Have you done any fights from Kung Fu Killer? It's a great recent Donnie Yen movie with a ton of great fighters and styles represented!
Kung Fu Killer is an amazing movie!!! So many great fights he can re view!!
This is universal soldier not about normal humans their like enhance strength ... amazing movie

such a good movie. the second best. it was almost art house
Arlovski was a super soldier in the movie.
didn't know they had made a remake
Yeah think there like 3rd generation Universal Soldier's. Believe it a sequels to 1992 Movie off Same name staring Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren. Van Damme was in this one I think near the end.
Andre Arlovski is a Former UFC Heavyweight Champion
And in the beginning of the fight Scott did not know he had the fighting skills and then he remembered he did.
Normally I would agree about stopping the bat with the arm but he's a universal soldier...
How has Scott not been casted as batman? He would be perfect for the dark and gritty rendition. He was a beast as Boyka.
Gary Daniels vs Costas Mandylor end fight, "Fist of the North Star.
React to Rocky Handsom Last Fight Scene
With every hit I was like, when will they finally die or when at least one bone will break?
Enjoyed👍 Thank U.
Yo, you should check out the hallway fight from Oldboy (Korean version). It's just dirty, man.

That was nasty.
I thought it was the original movie from the title
Spl3 paradox fight scene.
Like to see the fight scenes from Skin Trade

A wooden bat is comperable to a metal bat... This movie used Team Fortress 2 logic!
I love this fight, Andrei is such a terminator there.
Apparently they broke all their prop bats during filming and had to finish the scene with real bats
bruce lee vs chuck noras

How have you not reacted to jet li unleashed or jet li the one????

bruh, did you shave your head recently, or has it always been like that? cuz something looks different about you. and i like it.)
haha yeah buzzed the head yesterday, felt like I needed to clean it up a bit! thanks mate!
Scary thing is that the bats in the scene are real, cause they broke the fake bats and couldn’t get other fakes for the scene.
