I literally just bought some tamarind at the grocery store! I’ve never tried it until now. Going to try making this! It does taste like a slightly tart raisin. Almost like a moist dried cherry. So good!

The sweet one is to die for. You don’t need candy if you can get the sweet one. Asian stores in the US likely to have it and on Amazon.

Hi Aketch, I really like your videos! Do you think you could interview some elders in your village, maybe have them tell us stories from their lives, special events, traditions, their values...?

Love tamarind but not energy drinks. Of the juices that my mother-in-law used to make for her cafeteria, it was my favorite

tamarind is sweet and tangy/sour. like sweet lemon paste, but without the actual lemon taste. tamarind has its own unique flavor with the "Tongue stimulating" effects of a Lemon+Sweetness.

    😳😲 Girl?! I can't believe you've perfectly predicted my current craving 😂
By far, one of the best natural juice there is.
To accelarate the process (it also depends on the consistency, softness and tenderness of the tamarind pulp) I use to put some warm water and some tamarind in a glass bottle let it sit for a bit, 20 to 30 minutes then I 🎼shake it, shake it, shake ir, shake it🎶 (Out Kast - Hey Ya).
🧡 Much love, Joy, big blessings and thanks. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Everyone thinks blenders are convenient, but they forget you have to clean them.
What did you use before plastic bottles? Clay pots and stirring?

@Aketch Joy Winnie Hello Dear, thank you for sharing, tamarind juice is lovely. May I suggest doing the same thing in a glass bottle, instead? Tamarind in itself is acidic plus all the shaking, you’ll be drinking plastic particles, from the plastic bottle. I’d only ever use glass or stainless steel containers and only drink the contents of plastic bottles if I’m out and about. ‘Keeps plastic pollution low. It’s healthier for you and on the environment, too. God bless!

I'm thinking of a orange, lemon, cherry, & tamarind blend with some kale & spinach. Also, I may try it with a bowl of hot oatmeal.
