    It appears that this fish is rather easily bred. Why are they endangered? Was their, natural habitat destroyed?
    Thank you for posting this interesting and informative species profile of an attractive cichlid. Yours look right happy in this, terrific set up with Sahyadria denisonii and Cyphotilapia frontosa.

      Hello, This fish found in Kerala & Karnataka region of india and this fish is in their diet. However it is illegal to harvest it now.
