- Hi Everyone!
A quick soundcheck of the Kyra from Waldorf, again, thanks to Audiotech. Every sound comes from the Kyra and was recorded in to Ableton Live. As usual there`s no compression, EQ or External FX. Just a limiter on the whole material.

To second Chip, this is definitely the best demo I've seen on this synth. I really wanted something other than frickin Welcome Strings. You did not disappoint. I knew this box was capable of some insane jams. Thank you!
Best demo I've seen with Kyra. I was on the fence about acquiring one. Saving my pennies now!

hey does the Kyra have a VESA Mount on the back of it ??
it depends on what batch you get yours from. the first batch does not have VESA holes. its bothersome because Waldorf advertised them to come with VESA mounting and mine did not. If you buy used, get pics. if you buy B stock ask the seller. if you get it new you should have the holes. Mine was a B stock return from a waldorf authorized reverb seller.

How do u feel it compares to Virus ti?

As for the Virus, I`ve had only the TI Snow and it was ok. I think that Kyra is a bit different (soundwise they can be next to each other though). It`s inspiring (or we can say it inspired me), you don`t feel something like "I`ve heard that sound before", you want to make your own sounds and forget the presets ;)
what are u using the A-01 for? so prominent on the desktop!
Back than it was a simple sequencer, now it`s my MIDI to CV converter. And I really like the look and feel of it :)
What do you think? Does it have a distinct enough character to justify buying it, versus say a good software synth.
If you like working with hardware, then it can be on a wishlist. Personally I`ll go for the Iridium (perfect for sound design without turning on the computer). If you want software, then of course you can achieve similar sounds, just the workflow is not the same. I have lots of software (and If we have to get close to Waldorf than UVI Falcon is a good choice) but every time I`m working on hardware with good on board control, I`m doing everything more faster and with different sonic results. But that`s just me :)
@@esersound1 Hint: Waldorf just released the Iridium Keyboard, it's like the Quantum, but without the analog filters, about 1500 Euros cheaper, is 2-part multitimbral, has got 16 voices, the user interface is slightly different and last but not least, it features a 4-octave, polyphonic aftertouch keybed.
Szia, Hun! Ennél az Audiotech-nél érdemes lehet hangszert venni? Van valami honlapjuk? (Egy lengyel szájtot néztem, de az nem igazán hangszerforgalmazó...)
Szia! Ők Lengyelországban forgalmazzák csak a Waldorfot és kizárólag lengyel hangszerboltokban kapható. Nem árulnak direktbe.
@@esersound1 Szerinted, ott olcsóbban lehet Waldorfokat venni, mint itthon? Magyarul: Te honnan vennél?
@@gerdakodak Nagyjából egyeznek az árak mindenhol. Én Lengyelországban venném, de jelenleg itt is élek, így ez egyértelmű.
