Today I noticed how Liverpool sat back and chilled when Villa failed to press them. This was incredibly smart as it reduced the overall effort the players had to put into this game. Right now they are playing games twice weekly with the CL games so anything to save player energy is critical. Taking moments to chill like this will lead to less player injuries later in the season. Klopp never had a good handle on this and ran his players into the ground and they always were dealing with an injury crisis.
@geronimo9595 Great Take/Comment. I have to say lad, I'm a Liverpool fan and I agree Klopp did at times run players into the ground. What I've noticed and seen from Slot's play is that when we go a goal down when either man city or arsenal have dropped points in games before we've played we don't panic or rush with the ball now we'd lose or draw games under klopp when man city or arsenal dropped points now we are winning theses games under slot 😊

That is why they keep pressing us Liverpool fans to admit that Liverpool are title favorites. Of course, we won't. We are neither humble nor delusional. Just being realistic. With a monster machine like City115 in the league, no other teams could be a favorite after 11 games.
I swear to God, my brother, that I have never seen in my life a player like Mohamed Salah since he joined Liverpool in 2018. He is training individually, extra, tough, and non-stop. He is a humble man. He has not stopped scoring or making decisive passes. His will and nerves are made of steel. He is talented. His records speak for themselves. He is a legend.

Liverpool has the best pound for pound squad in the premiership. Their attacking 'quartet' is miles ahead of any other attacking line-up. From Nunez, to Gakpo, Salah and Luiz - they're top for a reason.

The reason why most liverpool fans are still humble is because weve been through several title races with City and once they get in there stride they can put a run together where they dont drop points. Probably Arsenal fans feel the same
As a Liverpool fan I know it's more than Slot getting us to play better than Klopp did. It's City and Arsenal having holes in their point buckets, giving us even more of an advantage.
City and Arsenal situations looks bad because of what Liverpool are doing pretty much with control, otherwise those two would still look solid if there wasn’t these heroics and efforts from Slot ball, especially at this point of the season.
It’s true Liverpool is good for real but the cracks in Arsenal and City team so far this season makes it look even better for Liverpool but credit to slot he’s doing a very good job with this Liverpool team which by the way is and was always a good team

Slot is a good coach and tactician. But it's still very early so can't say LFC will win. Injuries derailed last season so unless injuries are kept to a minimum (unfortunately already not possible) or a couple of signings are made in the January window, it's still a bit too early to call it. Have to take each game as it comes.
Stay humble Liverpool fans, don't let people trick you into start getting too excited prematurely. I've never seen a prem title win on November.
5 points is nothing if City start clicking again. We've seen them do it before. Whether it's exciting or ugly, keep winning games and see where we end up in May. We haven't played brilliantl in a lot of our games but we're getting the results. However, we have to continue to show consistency and not carry on starting so slowly in games.

As an LFC supporter, I'm not getting carried away. We are only 11 games in. There is so much that can happen in the season. That being said, I am optimistic we'll win something this season, league or UCL is my hope.
What is really encouraging is that we seem to be rotating our team a lot more this season. We always seemed to run out of gas in march under Klopp. When I see squad rotation in the first 10 games and UCL games, I am hopeful it will pay off at the end of the season. Curtis Jones came out last night and I was like yeah, this is different. Saving them for other games and keeping 'em fit will be huge in the final month. We play Spurs, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Brighton back-to-back-to-back-to-back in 4 of our last 5 games. That is a stressful run in. Unless, we are up huge like in 19-20.
I can say that I don't stress as much as I did when watching Klopp's LFC. It always felt like we were gonna score, but we were also gonna give up goals. I see us kill a game and even sat on the ball last night when Brighton started getting momentum. It's not as exciting as heavy metal football, but I'll take the better results at the moment. It's a double edge sword though, if the results stop coming in, Slot will not be in a good place. But don't need to worry about what's not happening.

As a reds fan, it’s definitely a great start, but it’s a LONG season! I’m wrapped with how we’re going, but no way am I getting carried away. Still potential for many injuries with 27 league games, 2 cups and UCL. I’ll start getting confident when there’s only 10 games left…

I don't think we just love the humble thing. If anything, we've shouted our stature through years of finishing in unimpressive positions. I think the last bunch of years finishing second, while playing "title winning" football, has conditioned us to keep our powder dry. Competing against 115 FC takes its toll.
Great video, I'm a liverpool fan who's in complete agreement. I'm not getting carried away I went into the season with no expectations and I'm keeping that mindset, but we are playing amazing stuff and I really like our squad.

People seem to forget Liverpool were top last season for a fair amount, including going into week 30. Had a title race last time, the squad ran out of steam though. Need signings in January to add depth to the midfield and defence.
Liverpool have added is defensive strength. Slower buildup play, which theoretically leads to less injuries. Well thats my theory.

I usually judge what's gonna happen down the league table after 10 games. Liverpool title contenders with City, Arsenal to scrape top 4 with Chelsea and Villa.
You won't find many liverpool fans getting too excited about possibly winning the league. We know better having battled with city for the past 9+ yrs for league titles. They'll look down and out but then they claw their way back in the race. The season is long and difficult and injuries can come for any squad at any time. If we can get through December and still have our lead then I'll start to get excited.
Funny how one of the best players in premier league this season in Ryan Gravenberch wasn’t fancied at all by Bayern Munich at the time and the manager was Thomas Tuchel and now this guy is New England manager. Talk about not seeing talent 😂

When we start beating the Arsenals and the Citys in our head to heads, it will bring my confidence that we will win the league from my current 85% up to 99%. Its football, anything can happen. We are only a slight wobble or a couple of injuries away from City catching us with a run of a few wins. We need to keep our heads and just focus on each game as they come. Liverpool has a educated fan base. We're not being humble We're being realistic. We have no cover for vvd or konate. Salah will go to afcon in jan. We have all the problem klopp had. We just managing them differently by being more defensively structured & expelling less energy which hopefully cuts down on energy's. We always had a 1st that can win the title. We have never really had the squad that can win it. We know if injury strike we can drop back to 3'd and that fine for slots 1st season.
We also no that vvd, trent, salah might leave & there replacement in the summer won't be as good & we might get 4th next season & that fine becuase we are educated fans. We understand how football works. It's not being humble it being realistic. We seen enough from slot to know we csn start the rebuild with him. Yes we can get lucky & nick a title & a ucl but that's just a bonus
