Jared didn't start out particularly talented. In fact, some people even said he started too late. But after several years of hard work and dedication, Jared rose to the top. Now, after placing second at the 2024 Pan-American Championship with a serious neck injury... it's time for Worlds.

Yo so I was his first opponent and I’m not even gonna lie you made that first match look cool lmao
But also cool story I’m actually 21 and have been training for a few years now, Ive always questioned if I started too late to win the big tournaments and I started in high school, it’s pretty sick to see he started my age and and is doing this. Quite inspiring.

Starting at 21 might be "later", but it's not "late." 21 is young af, plenty of time to be a black belt world champion if you put the time in. It's once you're at or around 30 that it's actually too late. No amount of time on the mat will make a world champ out of a dude who started rolling at 30.

I actually didn’t record the full match (just clips), and FloGrappling actually doesn’t have it either 😂 but it was also a creative/story-driven decision to just leave it out entirely
